Filipino Family INVITE Me Into Their HOME! Zamboanga Del Norte's New Coast Road!

A FILIPINO FAMILY INVITED ME INTO THEIR HOME!
After a great lunch in Dumingag, I cross into Zamboanga del Norte and visit Sindangan, a town that I last saw in 2022 and that has really grown since then!
This time, a local guy invited me to his son's birthday party - which given that I have literally zero plans right now due to the weather, was an offer I was more than happy to take up!
And what great hospitality they gave - local snacks, and not so local beer!
From here, I did have something of a plan in mind - take on the new northern coast road all the way to Zamboanga City.
At Liloy, you turn right and continue over the mountains into Baliguian, except this section is not yet completely concrete - the road surface is fine though, which was handy because it was pouring with rain! Beautiful forest surrounds you at every turn.
Onwards to Siocon - where I had some food and continued into the rain towards Sirawai. Realising that the old main road to the highway at Tungawan was just a dirt track, I decided to continue into an also impressive section along the coast and through mountains towards Sibuco - with a hidden waterfall just down a valley!
The weather did not make things easy for me, but it was an insight into a route that I want to take again, more slowly, in the future.
And all of those KCC adverts on the way into Zamboanga City? Well, I visited Dennis Coffee Garden in KCC to get my fix of tiyula itum... it was very, very necessary after that!

Just incredibly beautiful there! I loved the drone views of the waterfalls 20:39 and the coast, and then your views as you were passing through the forest of Zamboanga del Norte. I am so jealous of you for being able to see it in person, but equally appreciative of you for sharing it all with us. Salamat kaayo! Wow! Grabe imong biyahe Kumander. This Habagat season has stayed on quiete longer; should be transition period to Amihan but Habagat stays strong, fueled with a string of typhoons like Shanshan, Gener, Helen, and the others. Really rainy this year. Well, La Nina is expected. Mao na diha hahaha. Amping 'ta kanunay.
