    You're making my argument that Newton should be signed to the rookie minimum. He's the emergency ball handler and giving him a standard contract removes the log jam for a third two way.

    Just a question do you think the Pacers get a bigger wing player ? Jus looking at the east I feel we're to small at the 3

      It’s the most important position which every team is after. unfortunately there is no one out there who can be an upgrade over Neismith. I also want them to play Mathurin more.

    • @warlockmagic3416
      @warlockmagic3416 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You would think so, but I swear they never make it a priority. Every draft and FA off-season. They never make the move to get a guy 6'6 or over at SF. I don't see Mathurin, or Nesmith as a SF. Nesmith is okay there.

    • @banditonehundred

      @@warlockmagic3416 yeah but long term we need to either move Neismith, Mathurin for a big wing. Not enough minutes out there for all of them. Even Nembhard may need to be moved if in case we want to play Mathurin at the 2, which is his natural position.

    Brown continues to shoot terribly from 3 (% dipping to mid 20’s), and just can’t put on weight which is liability on defense, just don’t see much upside to the former late 2nd round pick. I’d rather the Pacers bring back Oshae since nobody else is picking him up. Give him a non-g contract, he already knows the system and be 3rd backup at 3 and 4 spot…

    I'd keep Brown. He was 9 out of 9 for potential out of college and is maybe the fastest guy on a team that is built for speed. A vet minimum may fit better but will go downhill while Brown will likely still get better. Not sure either that any of our fresh picks will deserve more court time than Brown. Play them in the G league.

    Literally nothing would annoy me more then when id hear Pacer fans or Pacers podcasts state that they wouldnt be able to afford Buddy because Hed command the 'bag' and have all these suitors.
    Im literally convinced most fans dont actually watch the game but look at Buddys stat line.
    He will miss everything for 3 to 4 straight games and dribble the ball of his feet and get scorched earth by literally every player He defends then have A game where He makes every 3 He shoots so his percentage will be around 40 percent from 3 so that makes Him good.
    I dont know why i continue to take the bait and even after being traded to Philly and being A starter to 25 games later receiving DNP'S in 3 playoff Games and traded for A 2nd round pick 7 years from now i still see comments from casual/clueless fans that think Golden State got a great deal and wish their team would have traded for Him.
    Literally mind boggling

    Need to force Rick’s hand to play Jarace Walker more. Coaches tend to get comfortable with vets. He had no option but to do that with Mathurin, Nembhard and Neismith since the team was losing and there will literally no other good players on the roster.

      @warlockmagic3416 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@springheeledjack165I see the reason for taking the gamble. But that's only if you couldn't have gotten someone obviously better first. Mo had a DR of 109. Last season and played well all around. He would have had the highest DR out of anyone on our team. Wiseman could come out and play well.. You never know, but we're counting on a guy to raise his basketball I.Q basically. Because most all his problems are timing. Knowing what to do on Offense and knowing where to be Defensively. We also need him to huslte and play with some tenacity. I'm not sure if he can do all those things. I will say this, no one would ever have developed with DET. We should get the best version of him. If he can only do those thing's and truly practice his craft.. Idk how to stress that enough. If a dude truly loves the game. They should always improve. If not, they don't want it bad enough. Every year, you should see some progress. Something else added to their game and higher I.Q.. Not making the same bone head plays.

    You make a point to almost always tell the amount the player signed for but conveniently didnt mention Buddy's 4 years for 20 milllon and how He was traded for a 2nd round pick 7 years from now.
    AND that Warriors were literally the only team that showed ANY interest in signing Him.
    And according to the interview Buddy Hield had after being traded which you advised the listeners to read but didnt discuss, Buddy stated that Pacers brass basically cut off all extension talks WITH HIM. They are the ones that went silent.
    They did him right by stating that they couldnt up with an amount for an extension to retain some value when in reality they had zero interest in resigning Him evidenced by what Buddy said in the aforementioned interview post trade.
    Dinosaurs have a greater chance of roaming the Earth then Buddy Hield has of being with the Warriors for 3 seasons
