- 2023 was one of the most exciting years for space exploration. More people were in space at the same time than ever before. The number of space tourism flights also took off, and India became the fourth country to successfully soft-land on the moon - that's to name just a few highlights. 2024 is set to be just as exciting.

Wow 😲 Nepal🇳🇵 had space🚀🌌 mission and as an Indian🇮🇳 i didn't even know about it 🙏

I am really surprised by the way this news channel neglected the future mission of India's ISRO
Till 2040 india would be witnessing some never before giant leaps in space
NISAR,Gaganyaan-1-2024
Sukrayaam (venus mission),Gaganyaan-2-2025
Mangalyaan-2,Gaganyaan-3,LUPEX-2026
Chandrayaan-4-2028(possibly earlier)
2028-2035-Bharatiya Antarisiksha station(Indian Space Station)
These are just the core missions, india is set to launch 50 geo intelligence satellites in next 5 years
We are proud of ISRO,I'm hopeful that the government increases their budget even higher
I guess he confused Nepal with India.

Same people in that area.. Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka - all Indians to Europeans. :)

I absolutely love when countries are so excited and eager for space exploration. We really need to seek out space. 🔥
In 2024 india isro aditya l1 mission on sun, mission shukryaan 1 on venus,mangalyaan2 on mars ,exposat xray observatory, gaganyaan humman space mission ,so 2024 is Indian era in space

The JWST is easily the most interesting part of space exploration last year, likely this year, and many more years to come. Going back to the moon is cool and all, but from a scientific standpoint the amount of information we've learned from the JWST is absolutely cosmic.
DW should also focus on news like this and peace.
ridiculous, that's reflect nothing currently happening outside your little bubble world.

That and more on what the European Space Agency is doing to help get Ariane 6 operational.
Some corrections: Artemis II everyone expects to slip to 2025, JAXA's Martian Moons eXploration mission also isn't likely to launch before 2026.
The mission being mentioned carrying a piece of Mt Everest is a payload from Nepal Robotics Project on the Peregrine luna lander. I hope that helps.
Doing things together will only slow everybody down - space race is what we want.
Mr. Cowing must be the most enthusiastic and relatable person I've seen in a while.

'India eyes 12 space missions in 12 months to build on historic year.
NEW DELHI -- India's space agency is fired up for a busy slate of missions in 2024, after reaching a string of milestones last year including a historic moon landing.
The lineup is set to include preparations for a three-day mission dubbed Gaganyaan, which would mark India's first crewed space flight, putting three astronauts into orbit 400 kilometers above Earth. India intends to launch an uncrewed test flight this year before Gaganyaan's main event, likely in 2025.
India already launched a satellite on New Year's Day to investigate the mysteries of cosmic X-rays. Other plans include a test flight with a humanoid robot named Vyomitra, along with a sequel to India's successful Mars orbiter mission in 2013-2014, to study the surface, atmosphere and climatic conditions of the red planet. A Venus orbiter mission is in the works as well.......'

He definitely missed India 😅
Guy said Nepal instead of India
He said ISRO of Nepal 😂
Go mankind.
The thing i am most excited about is the colonization of the Moon and Mars.
Space Exploration > War
Nepal 🇳🇵?? 😂😂😂
Where?
Now if only the world put less thought into war, and more into space programs. Imagine if NASA had half of the U.S. Military Budget, then maybe Elon would have Starships all over the moon & Mars.
EXACTLY!
Thanks to NASA holding on to the shuttle program though, we are several decades behind on space tech.
Much as people like to imaging the government being hypercompetent, the private sector most often leads things
war cann't be avoided why do you think America is so safe. Unfortunately to avoid war we need to fund for weapons.
Its very exciting ot think about whats out there waiting for us in space.
And im pretty sure its nothing like the movies taught us.

Such a funny thing, that this supposed Washinton DC expert space guy they brought in to talk about space now being a multistake venture, talks about all the nations (even for some reason NEPAL, since they've had a major space related breakthrough - "THEY WANT TO SEND AN OBJECT ON THE MOON ON ANOTHER COUNTRY'S CRAFT" yet, quite brazenly and casually SKIPS INDIA, a major challenger in this space race, doing what the westerners are doing, but with a fraction of the cost.
Why 4 th largest economy, G 7 Germany have no space program ?

Space -🇮🇳 may i come in
Remember south Asia is Indian subcontinent and is also India.
Big question for me is what better for space exploration - cooperation or competition.
In 1961 Gagarin became first cosmonaut. In 1969 Americans were on the Moon.
I believe in competition.
Cooperation because the costs are just huge.
Great question. The USA-USSR Space Race was in conjunction with the Cold War. This time, it should be about cooperation & making people's lives better.
For normal people this is today. But for some this is old old old news

What should be done: Check to see if there is a blue shift of energy between our solar system and adjacent solar systems in our spiral shaped galaxy to see whether or not our spiral shaped galaxy is truly collapsing in upon itself. (As the spiral shaped galaxy collapses in upon itself, adjacent solar systems would be getting closer together, hence blue shifted.)
In a few billion years we are projected to collide with the Andromeda galaxy with the combination forming an elliptical or lenticular galaxy.
@@drfelren Consider this future as well:
From my files:
Extremely Important Existential Pertinent Apparent Fact:
EF AEAD SE
Eternal Future, All Earthlings Are Dead, Sorry Earthlings.
SMART PEOPLE AND/OR AI'S NEEDED:
Consider the following: UNLESS the following Impossible Mission is successfully accomplished, our very life and existence does not ultimately matter:
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: (Or so it currently appears): For those who have the mental and physical resources to help (including AI's):
Try to save at least 1 single species on and from this Earth to exist beyond this Earth, solar system and most probably collapsing spiral shaped galaxy into a universe that never ends in a big freeze (the singular big bang theory is a fairy tale for various reasons) or by some other means so that life itself on and from this Earth has continued meaning and purpose to potentially throughout all of future eternity. (Otherwise, all life on and from this Earth, real and artificial, eventually dies and goes extinct, is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things, and are all a waste of spacetime in this universal existence.)
* Mission Impossible of the Highest Order: MIHO.
* Nature is our greatest ally in so far as Nature gives us life and a place to live it, AND Nature is also our greatest enemy that is going to take it all away. (Can we change the ending?)
Above due to:
EXISTENTIAL PHYSICS: Current Analysis:
(subject to revision as new information might dictate):
WARNING: NOT FOR ALL AUDIENCES: Only read this if you think you can handle it.
Future:
a. 6th mass extinction event (possibly occurring now), and the 6th won't be the last. (And 'yes', at least some humans will survive these earlier mass extinction events).
b. Sun becomes a red giant one day as it switches from burning hydrogen to burning helium and will wipe out all life left on this Earth if not even the entire Earth itself. (And 'yes', a long time from now, but the destination is set like a way point on a journey).
c. Our spiral shaped galaxy is most probably collapsing in upon itself, (note: adding to the red shift observations by the way), and it's possible ALL galaxies eventually collapse in upon themselves (not confirmed yet). But consider: Huge nebula cloud -> Condenses down into a galaxy -> Which at times becomes flat -> Which at times becomes spiral shaped. (In other words, it appears that at least some galaxies collapse in on themselves as they get smaller and smaller).
d. 'If' one believes in the big bang theory, and space itself expanding, then the entire universe and all in it will most probably end in a big freeze. (And 'yes', a long time from now, but the destination would be set like a way point on a journey). Note also: the singular big bang is probably not really true, there are other 'normal' explanations for the red shift observations, and the universe is most probably not going to end in a big freeze. Also, 'if' the current forces of nature came into existence in the early moments of the expansion of the singularity, and the singularity is still basically expanding, then the forces of nature will probably evolve one day, possibly even in the very next moment of expansion of this universe, and possibly wipe out everything in existence in basically a blink of an eye. Of which note also, the forces of nature as well as the universe always existed and never had a beginning. But 'if' modern science is correct, well ....................................blink...........................................
e. Outer space travel: Currently impossible to do for long periods of time due to:
1. Harmful cosmic radiation, including any potential neutrino impacts. (While most neutrinos go right through us, not all of them do all of the time). AI and biological life would most probably not survive unless proper protections were had.
2. Biological species, especially humans, need proper gravity conditions and large rotating space ships probably will not work for space bases on planets and moons. Otherwise, biological life, especially humans, will not survive long term.
3. Biological species, especially humans, need many more items to properly survive, otherwise they won't.
* Note: If anybody has any actual factual evidence to counter the above, I welcome it.
