Wow that sound is incredible. The light effects are pretty dope. Earbuds in and the bass is thumping in my brain. Dam the DJ effects are sweet. Plug in are ok . Pretty sweet package. $1000 ,well I spend that on phones , furniture, TVs, why not on a speaker. Thanks FLOSS great recommendation and as always great review.

Worth every penny! Was at a pool pqrty this weekend friend pulls this speaker out took 2 giys to carry it. Loudest Bluetooth speaker i have ever heard in my life! Was at quarter volume and the speaker was literally moving backwards from the bass! Dope light show as well

I think we might all love a slightly cheaper edition w/o the DJ pad features some of us may not ever really use. A version that might be weather proof, and just the Bluetooth power & speaker part of this fancy beast.
Hell, it wouldn't even need the lights if it were hundreds less than the $1000 entry fee.

This is dope! I'm a music guy myself and been on the market for something with clarity, bass and most importantly, no distortion what so ever at high volume. As much as you tried to demonstrate the sound quality, I can easily tell that this video isn't doing nearly close to justice of how bad-ass this thing might sound in person. You've covered everything else directly and I've made the decision to get one of these bad boys right now!

Ok, so recently we had guest over to our house and they wanted to sing karaoke, the machine played its last song, and wouldn’t boot up, so 8 years of hard work, we laid it to rest and ordered a new one. Just arrived today. Before i had the karaoke machine set up via Aux selection on my Blu-ray home theater, but since those are hard to come by these days and didn’t want to blow it, had my daughter swing by an thinkingtools store and they had two JBL 1000’s, so purchased them, and honestly because your review. Even the guys in the store were explaining to my daughter “does your dad know how loud these speakers are? Are you sure you want both? My daughter told them about seeing your video and we are following your roll, we will pick them up tomorrow as we didn’t have room in the car to bring them home. Now when we enjoy karaoke on our island, the island 22km might be able to sing along haha, but seriously, THANK YOU because of your review my wife let me buy both, instead of listening to the guys at the store really only wanting to sell one, they only had two in stock. Island shopping is like this in SE Asia, if they have it, and you don’t get it, when you go back tomorrow it will be gone and you won’t see it again until a new version model etc comes out. We only do a couple functions a year but these will work perfectly and for our home karaoke it is going to rock. Thank you again. This video was the first one I watched of yours, I won’t have to carry them up stairs well maybe down two actual stairs to set them up on our porch over looking the ocean, man I am so happy. I watched two other reviews on this speaker and you sold me on it, much thanks from my family too as they are super excited, liked subscribed...

Enjoying my Partybox 1000 for about a month. Amazing bass sounds I bought it here for $ 900 and worth every dollar. The only thing I think it need is a WIFI connection. For this I added an audio chromecast that I had here and matter resolved. It integrates with my Google assistant, perfectly.

Yeah nice video Floss, but just letting everyone know that, the JBL "party speaker" 1000 literally seems like it isn't worth buying cause even though I've never bought it, I just can really tell the difference on the bass when the volume is at halfway compare to when it's on full volume. The bass on full volume doesn't seem good at all. I'm glad that I checked this review out because I would've gotten it without caring about the lousy consequences that this interesting speaker seems to have
JBL sounds best at 75/80%, above that the level, the bass wouldn't go any higher.

For anyone who wants to dj with this with a controller that doesn't have bluetoooth, you'll need to use the 1/4" guitar input. Otherwise when you use the RCA inputs there is a delay from the on-board processor that makes beatmixing awful. I don't know for sure but I think the guitar input bypasses the processor and therfore no delay.

Hi Flossy i told you before to check them out, i bought one but the bass was to much even with no bass boost on, i listening to hardrock and live in an appartment so i had to get it back to the store because of the neighbours, have to think about them.
And it was also problems with bluetooth connection.
The lightning was amazing but a friend of mine told me that you can get sick of looking at it.
And the last thing the sound was not amazing just loud as....

He's not lying, this damn thing is ridiculously loud and the base will damn near stop your heart, I got one of these about a month before they dropped from a friend that works for JBL, as an early birthday present, had to take it outta my living room and move it to the game room.
This thing is a beast, I'm thinking of getting one, maybe JBL 310 is the sweet spot.
Let alone the sound, the light show is mesmerizing.

this is the very first "party speaker" that you've reviewed that I can fully understand the price, and actually wanting to pay it for the features included. Still veeeery gimicky, (as all party speakers are) but the gimicks seem to be of full quality and options. actually wouldn't mind owning them, and that's coming from a snobby audiophile that switches his turntable cartridge depending on if I'm listening to jazz or rap. That's saying something.
