This is silly. I suppose logic is just a personal view now. Finkelstein's reasons for not condemning Hamas was brilliantly shown to have serious flaws. This is like saying that someone whose childhood was horrendous, and they suffered great abuse, is not accountable for themselves when they become an uncontrolled violent presence and kill people. When you act, you are accountable for yourself, no matter what happened before. Condemnation of such atrocities is the only correct stance to have if you believe in accountability. If you don't, no one is ever at fault or succumbed to evil and no one should be imprisoned or chastised, as they are simply a result of previous action. And, carrying on that logic, neither the Palestinians or Israel are in the wrong, they are simply the sum of past events, and had no choice in their responses or decisions. So, why are you mad at Israel? They can't help it. You make a choice to rape and kill. No one else makes it for you. You are accountable for your actions.

The argument is correct. The ICJ is simply a panel of judges elected by member states. These include Arab (edit: and Islamic) states like Iran, Iraq and Lebanon which all have a personal and religiously motivated animus against the State of Israel.
This brings into question the impartiality and credibility of the court.

In the 1st Arab war, the Arabs were supposed to be the saviour of the (Arab) Palestinians from the evil UN partition plan. Now Israel is saving the Palestinians from the evil UN that votes for a ceasefire. Looks like Israel has done a better job of saving Palestinians in the last few months than the Arabs did in the last 75 years. Quote from Israeli declaration of independence:
‘WE APPEAL - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.’
Israel saves the Palestinians

Israel goes BEYOND honour. I wonder if this magnanimity goes beyond Judaism. I don't recall anything as explicit as this in the old testament. Like Jesus takes a step further to say 'love your enemies.' Israel has no obligation to save the Palestinians who voted Hamas into power. Yet Israel saves despite being reviled - This is exactly what Jesus did. Jews are more Christian than Christians! Like in the 10 commandments movie, Moses doesn't know God, but God knows Moses. I think this view might be unpopular because unfortunately Israel doesn't have that many vocal defenders who are gentile non-Israeli. so Israel is just humbly saying as a matter of fact that they're not committing war crimes. The court relied on reports from Amnesty International and the U.N. when it listed multiple examples of apparent violations of the law of armed conflict in Gaza. The Dutch decided not to sell arms to Israel. But they could have continued, and no body could stop them.
That said, "Hamas" is not a Nation, nor do they represent a Nation. One of the aspects of a Nation is that the Nation _Taxes_ its citizens, to use the proceeds to run the government...including for "defense" cost.
Both Gazan's and WB Palestinians do not pay taxes to "Hamas", or the Palestinian Authority. Israel collects tax on behalf of the Palestinians.
All of this is to say that the concept of "International Law" is nothing like 99% of people imagine.
