I honestly think Izzo can be king of the portal. It just seems like something he would suceed with. We'll see how his portal guys flesh out this season. But just keep that in mind when recruiting isn't going so well. We can always pick up gems in the lower ranks of college who have time on the court and need very little development.
In two years YES. This season, NO!! After Jonathan Smith has fully rebuilt this roster with his wonderful staff, the moon and stars are within their grasp!! Competiting against a powerhouse like Ohio State requires a deep, experienced, and explosive roster. The Spartans aren't there yet. But, they will be. Perhaps more importantly, a well-regarded strength and conditioning program will also raise the bar above our four-foot ceiling at present. All these players need two to three years of development in the present system. Augmented by elite talent in the future. This year is a "Hall Pass" for Jonathan Smith. The future is bright. Far more brilliant than the desolation left behind by the Mel Tucker debacle. GO GREEN!!
If they find a way to beat OSU Saturday at that point there’s no reason for them to not take it all the way and win the big 10 title, and going to the playoffs
The goals: stay healthy, show improvement.
Why not The Spartans?
Roster and coaching
The QB would have to be at his best along with exceptional defense to beat Ohio State . No moral victories though
What is happening in the Niko Bundalo recruitment?
Would love to land that guy.
Let’s do this. Go Green!
