    1. Best for groups: Utopia Bagels
At the top of Silverman's list is Utopia Bagels, which has been making bagels in Whitestone, Queens, for over four decades. "They are one of the most impressive bagel operations that I have ever seen - they hand roll over 100,000 bagels per week," Silverman says. "They have over 50 staff members and an enormous oven that's been in the space since the shop opened that just creates the perfect crisp on a New York bagel."

Not sold on those bagels. They do infact look soft like eating a loaf of Italian bread at the supermarket. If you know anything about excellent bagels, the bagel should have a good chew to them so to speak otherwise it just sucks. Looks like he's doing something right though but I don't get it.

This video reminded me of getting bagels as a child with my mother at Hot Bagels in Fair Lawn, NJ, and eating a hot bagel on the car ride home, plain with no spread, and it was so good. I lived in NYC after that and still maintain that the best bagels were Hot Bagels in Fair Lawn.

I had these bagels but from the Greenwich location a few months ago. I was disappointed with them, mine weren't even warm, so I was wondering what's the point of setting a pickup time when they're not even hot. Maybe if they had actually been hot it might have been a different story, but I guess I will never know...

Yeah so great honest review as always however of course there's a however. The bagels themselves look good but it looks like the outer layer didn't have that hard texture like a good Jewish bagel interior look okay as far as the cream cheese that was spreadable cream cheese and of course they have to give it to you cold if you use a knife with one of those cream cheeses variations it would have went on to your bagel much easier then dipping The Bagel into the cream cheese look good to me perfect. It's not all about the host personal pet peeves about cream cheese and bagels not having enough salt on them if you get a sesame bagel it just has sesame if you got a poppy-seed bagel it just has poppy seed and everything bagel has everything including kosher salt okie dokie I think you get my point❤❤

Sorry, you don't know your slang. Nadelson could be a Jewish name but maybe you are assimilated. As Wikipedia states:The use and spelling of schmear or shmear in American English is a direct loanword from Yiddish, where its original usage referred to cheese. In modern usage it has extended to anything that can be spread, such as cream cheese spread upon a bagel.

@@jonsher7682 You are correct about Yiddish but we are talking about how this word is used in English.
According the Merriam Webster dictionary online:
      2
informal : a layer of a spreadable food or condiment
He eats one virtually every day, 'round noon or 1 p.m., topped with the faintest schmear of peanut butter.
      -Mary Bilyeu
especially : a layer of cream cheese
… the reverential tones that the Milanese reserve for a perfect risotto, or New Yorkers for a classic bagel with a schmear.
      -Jack Knox
While visiting New York a few years ago, Dan Winters popped into a bodega and ordered a plain with a schmear. The clerk just stared at him, and Winters, who spent four years in the city starting in the late 1980s, realized the guy had no idea what he was saying. Times had changed, even for breakfast. "No one said, 'Let me get a bagel with cream cheese,'" Winters says. "It was 'plain with a schmear.'"

@@stephenfisher3721 In American English, the word can be used as either a noun or a verb. While Meridian Webster only cites the former, it is found elsewhere in American English as a verb too. Either you did not grow up with good bagels or you are not Jewish. When I was a child in a small town in the Midwest, bagels were a Jewish ethnic food. It was not well known and hard to get. During the next fifty years, bagels have become a common American food. However, most bagels today are either horrible, mediocre, or a strange new flavor. Traditionally, American Jews eat bagels with lox but lox has not become a common American food. There are many American Jews whose only connection to Judaism is through American Jewish food and they are often called "Bagel and lox Jews".
