I experienced violence at the age of 3, my uncle use to be in drugs and one day he came to visit my mom and I, by breaking the door down and he proceeded to beat my mom up. I tried protecting her but I felt hopeless and I remember the feeling, feeling so unbearable that I felt stuck I froze up against a corner and I couldn’t move. Till this day, if I hear any loud noises or if I’m around too many people I become triggered. I started going down this healing journey and it sucks, I feel in fight or flight so often. Especially recent, because I’m trying so hard to find a solution, I hate that I feel detached sometimes, I feel like I’m dreaming and nothing is real. Whenever times get rough I fall back to my default, I freeze up, this is why I started my healing journey, don’t want to freeze up anymore I want to have a solution 🙏🏼

I'm almost 29 this March.. I look 21-25 ha... I struggled with depersonalization for so long and sometimessomething could happen and it feels like a dream as if it didn't.. or I look at stuff in a, "If this was my last day on Earth" kind of lenses.. I periodically feel these ways and it feels.. wretched.. I've literally walked through a blizzard a few times in life feeling the cold and feeling dead.. a darkness above the foundations of my eyes making me want to fall asleep. There's just so much in life you can do before it all becomes a habit instead of what you love.. that's how I feel, I've tried therapy to no avail. I just don't want to feel this disorder.. I feel like I had to numb myself working at retail stores and dealing with rude customers so I just stay silent and feel dead to make it through the day. I hope those who deal with this get better somehow someway soon! Take care.

Hey Jordan this isn’t really related but I’ve had constant derealization for awhile and a couple months ago I recently had a panic attack outside and now it’s like everytime I go outside I’m scared of having another panic attack so it creates a panic attack, have i developed agoraphobia and can I still recover if I do all the steps and build interoception first

Hey Jordan I am from India and from 3 years I am experiencing obsessive thoughts with severe DP/DR. Your videos are helpful but I have a question, what if I am not feeling anxious about my intrusive thoughts but still I have DP/DR.
