Artists listen. Create a good product and keep posting. The algorithm wants you to stay engaged. You’re rewarded for participating. Keep posting and keep finding other creators like yourself and following them. Growth is slow. The point is to ENGAGE with others. When the algorithm starts to collect that data and recognize your efforts to participate it will start to reward you. Stop getting bummed out and quitting. Be proud for growing the catalog on your channel.

Of those 150 reels, how many people have you engaged with and followed? Most people will never go viral. You're a business and you should think like a business owner! A small business owner is always mingling with the customers to build rapport. For each reel you post, you should find at least 5 people to follow and show support to. In turn they should do the same. For the ones that don't, go unfollow them if you're not a die hard fan of their work and find other people who are willing to follow you back and engage, engage, ENGAGE with them. They should do the same and if they don't - unfollow them. The key is to build a relationship with these other artists. Post a reel and spend time seeing what the people you follow are doing and like, comment on their shit. This is how you grow organically.

@@AJHirsch Art is selfish in my opinion and an artist has to come to this conclusion in order to succeed. Once you do there's plenty of other artists willing to show love and support to a complete stranger if it is someone who will consistently keep in touch. Those are the ones who will end up commenting on all of your videos and listening to your music out of pure love. Organic reach is so much more rewarding. It's slow but it works. Then when you blow up, you know who to keep in contact with and you have to make sure you do what you can to elevate them with you.
Not true. I post daily same as I do for years. Good content. I hardly get 200 likes on 150k account. Same time artists posting 3x a month just photo of artwork. Nothing awesome. Getting 1-3k. Algorithm is totally flawed

I feel you, I’m in the same boat, my friend. The comment underneath is worth a read! Growth is slow, but be consistent and be proud of your catalogue of content and engage with other artists like yourself and enjoy it and you will grow. I refuse to do all the gimmicks and shit. I’m a musician/guitar player and that’s what I am. Not a clickbait social media guy so don’t lose yourself in this!! 🎸

Hey Dominic, I have less than 500 followers and one of my reel crossed 50k views on it and it's still going!!! Also I participated in the 10 day reel challenge but was not able to upload reel yesterday, does it still count as a miss??

How am I supposed to hook/engage people when nobody actually visits my reels. (I use trending music in my reels and follow other creators that do similar content). So maybe it takes alot of time.

This makes no sense. My first is having 926 plays and the reel reach is 528. The curve went rapidly down second reel has 149 plays and 114 reach and that reel it just reqching to 5 or 6.
In my case the plays/views are more than the account reach than what the problem? Ehy instagram decreasing my per reel.
I just checked and my plays are always higher than my reach. But my reels get max 6k views and I have 10k followers. My last reels only had around 1k - 2k views😂 Seeing so many videos with advices I came to the point, that its just luck if your reel gets traction or not. Makes me sleep better😅 But thanks for your vids man, appreciate them a lot!

Me too my reels gets stuck around 3k and I have almost 9000 followers. I make good content and I get a lot of saves but my reels hasn’t gone viral.

In theory yes. I actuality no. I have multiple videos with many more plays than reach and watch time 120 and even 130 percent. They still just stop the machine from displaying the videos. It always happens and I have millions and millions of views on all the big platforms.

My views are double or even 4 times more than my reach (on informative/ inspiring 10-20 sec reels, not 3sec on repeat), I have an incredible amount of saves and shares and yet my reach is super low 😓 (example1 : 6923 plays, 186 likes, 64 comments, 10 shares, 89 saves, 3003 reach) (example 2: 13801 plays, 500 likes, 85 comments, 39 shares, 98 saves, 6994 reach)… my only successful reels are the ones with more shares, and still the reach is super low (example: 120608 plays, 2825 likes, 99 comments, 2142 shares, 414 saves, 43418 reach) 🥺

I used to upload them only on the Reels feed. Now I upload them also to the normal feed and after some days I delete them from this feed.
The first Reels I uploaded doing this went crazy, lot more reach and plays than the previous ones! (I guess because of more likes and saves because of my audience watching them)
Now they're like before doing this "trick", just with more likes and saves, but same plays...

I’m honestly….so tried of trying. It just makes no sense. I’ve never had a reel get close to 10. Highest one is 6k and that was almost 2 years ago. I’m LUCKY to get 500. I’ve had reels at 500 for over 5 months.
I post consistently. Try to do hooks. Keep them under 8 seconds. I’m not a bad looking guy. I provide educational in some way while making it relatable.
I see mfs posting reels of their face or a flower breezing across the screen and it gets 1000s if views and shared.
It’s fucking demoralizing
