so true with the feel thing. i can see that when he's flowing which is often. while i agree with you regarding the feel in the now like feeling what the bike is doing, but when you said you can't be thinking about the next corner or jump, you definitely need to be looking and thinking ahead enough to be able to react and change lines etc. but you see jett sometimes get in situations where he runs into Vince or turns down as barcia is cutting across, so he is definitely just focusing on feel but it's got to be a balance id imagine. also totally agree about the knees/legs/body position.
He is also riding fearless. Everyone was a little afraid of quading at Daytona. Jett did it nearly every lap. That's fearless riding. If he gets hurt a few times, this may all change.
Did you not hear a thing Ryno just said?? It has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with proper body position and exceptional technique. You’re a moron if you think talent is a thing. Watch the video again.

In my head it literally all clicked when he described how you would jump off of something and land, using your hips not your knees, for whatever reason that's when my brain grasped it hahaha
I flagged Thunder Valley last year, and seeing Jett up close I noticed how much momentum he maintains. I was at the top of the track near the Thunder Valley sign. Riders would charge up the hill, but they'd brake hard near the crest, then accelerate hard at the top before descending. Jett wouldn't brake as much, and almost coast through the turn. His bike was not only audibly quiet, but also physically as well. This allowed him to be more accurate selecting his exit off the top, and the bike would maintain the line he selected, rather than rebound off the top. I'm thinking maybe his "quiet" riding style allows him to move where necessary, as opposed to getting pulled out of position by hard braking or accelerating.
I've noticed some of that myself. He rides so smooth, not a big jett fan but I respect his speed and actually how he likes to ride a gear high even on the 250 was pretty awesome.
You have always been amazing and I have always followed you since day one Ryano and I wish you the best always and you are a Legend and your also the very first one that I seen that started teaching that technique and Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom #RyanHughes
Jett's dad said he sees things faster than most...the information comes so much faster that he can process what is happening in front of him and it makes it very easy. I remember getting older and the opposite began to happen it started to get scary.
A great topic, (if I may), would be about front end "rake and trail". I read Paul Thede's Race tech suspension bible (buy it from Race tech), and understood it. I am sure I would have crashed my bike less, if I then understood the effects of rake and trail.
How does Rhino fit 70 minutes of content in a seven minute video? It takes me a while and a couple of times to really absorb all this information. Thanks.
Jett is the complete package, main advantage on everyone is his sense of balance, watch his starts, watch how he set up jumping into tne whoops at Seattle, pure balance
I get what Ryno is saying about Jett being "behind". I felt when on the 250 he was pushing it too hard to and it made him bloody fast but a bit erratic. On the 450 he's slowed himself down a fraction, confidant in his speed and not trying to go faster than he can go, and it's giving him better and smoother technique leading to faster lap times.
Seat height is too tall for me today. I like to be able to pinch the top edge of the seat with my knees just barely over the edge when standing. Tall like that, (can only grab the sides of the seat), and it would be harder to keep my knees from sliding forward when I did not want.
