can I ask what resolution of the image you set for this image to not look pixelated while zooming in? Mine is set to 300 but ends up pixelated when I zoom in. Do you set something first in Cad or in PS?
I created a presentation resolution AutoCAD pdf of A3 size with my drawings to scale at 1:300 (scaled using AutoCAD). I right-clicked the pdf and opened it in photoshop. Upon saving it as pdf after working on photoshop, my pdf is very blurry and has lost the crisp resolution it had when I saved it as AutoCAD pdf. Could you please help me? I even tried to use an older version of photoshop.I have been using photoshop for the last 3 years and my pdfs would always be extremely crisp! this is the first time I am facing this issue!!

I am curious to know if we can save the trees imported from CAD to use them in PS, something like a library. You channel is great wish though that you would go a little slower and explain every step
Quick question, it’s off topic but it there a way you can export plans to photoshop to scale quicker? Because I tend to export and use trial and error to get the correct scale
just purchased the actions and its very useful. but i have a bit problem with the trees. when i was doing some extra large trees, it seems that it only added patterns around the perimeter but not the whole tree. how do i fix it.

I want to report a possible error in the transaction. The first time I completed the purchase, the gumroad page did not return a confirmation of purchase. I thought that was an error. @@ashleyalfonseca1480 Photoshop will not show files that is not in the right format for the preset type ( .abr for brushes and .pat for pattern), so make sure you are selecting the correct [Preset Type] in Preset Manager then the files should be seen and you will be able to import it. if this did not solve your problem feel free to send an email to the email provided in the product page in gumroad
@@SurvivingArchitecture bought it and now to try it out. Will see how it goes. I have a few plans to do for print, but they will probably need to be in simple greyscale. I will try this method on some and give as a gift to the researcher I’m doing the plans for.

Haha! software are only here to assist your ideas and they can only do about 20-30% of the work. You still have to be good at drawing but "good" drawings without any depth of thought are not architecture either.
and trust me. You try hand drawing a project. Colouring in plans by hand all night long,,, then have to start again when a tutor trashed it... glory days lol
Why would you need to use photoshop? Good CAD and BIM software has good rendering capabilities built in. I haven’t needed any third party software since investing in Vectorworks over 20 years ago! If needed the photorealistic renders are more than adequate for day to day practice use.
I agree that with good BIM knowledge, you can export sufficient drawings for planning and construction. However, I believe that architectural drawings shouldn't always look realistic because.. where is the fun in that lol? In most cases, drawings are used to communicate ideas way beyond CAD and BIM capabilities. Also, drawings are a medium of expression which can look different from one person to the other.

It is, and always was, a business in which the accurate communication to clients, authorities, and contractors is far more important than pretty pictures in art galleries. I have not yet used ‘photorealistic’ renderings as a ‘white card’ model with accurate lighting is far more informative by concentrating on the space and light. It is the completed building, and only that, that is the architecture. To claim otherwise is very dangerous for our profession.
I respect your opinion but I'm sorry to say that architecture is not JUST business. It might have been in the past but it's evolving. And we as designers must adapt to it. Also, I'll take you ending phrase as a compliment because I'm extremely excited for the future and for what I can bring to the table!

If one can express their intentions poetism through the use of photoshop, why not do so? Architecture and its presentation should never be static. Yes ofc, details, construction drawings etc are all standardised but presenting to the client or even designing for fun, in my opinion, should never feel limited or only limited by the programs' capability. Architecture should be expressive, not just design wise but presentation wise as well.
I completely disagree with your point of view, when you look at all award winning buildings and these monumental buildings all around the world they have been designed with Concept, Creativity and Passion. If we go about architecture like you say we would be living and working in cheap knock off homes where contractors benefit the most and not the people.

Hi, I think it is just setup to a default so you will have to change it is the same thing with creating a pattern.

when you create the mask layer adjust it with (Ctrl + T) and scale it to cover the whole image you can see it at 2:05
