Triggerfish, man! They are delicious and fight so well for their size. Killing it over there, I see. Tight lines and I hope you catch that giant Cobia!
enjoyed viewing your show, thanks. interesting, what we call king fish down here in Miami/Key Largo look different. Actually, to me, they look like a small red fish, or even a bone fish. fishing sharks from shore very kool too. thanks again, regards
There's a lots of triggers by Avalon's draw bridge. I caught one around 15-16 inches on a 6 1/2 ft St croix medium light action small rod, was a good fight. Never knew it can grow that big in these waters. Me and my dad ended that day July 12, 2016 with around 15 triggers. All on shrimp and during low tide. Don't cast a couple of feet from the rocks because of snags but throw it out about 25 yards and you should be fine.
we don't fish on the bridge lol, what I meant to say is thats the area but we fish from the rocks, towards the middle of the long stretch of rocks. I went to this 'secret' location that has a Mc'Donalds near it *cough* and we didn't catch anything. No kingfish, trigger, flounder on July 26, 2016. Just lots and lots of seaweed during low tide.
awesome video man!! was just at va beach fishing for cobia and shark, the bunker were so think it was like dark clouds, we snagged em with treble hooks, I'll most likely have vid of the whole thing tonight or tomorrow
Hey man, Down South you can catch these whiting at the very edge of the beach and you don't have to put up with the rocks on a jetty. All you have to do is cast a feather and you're good to go.
A really good bait for kingfish is shrimp, either dead or alive, or squid. I know in Jersey you get a lot of dogfish on squid, at least I did, but now that I live in Florida I catch a majority of my kings on those baits. Tight lines guys.
+Sea-Money Fishing dude I have a separate fishing channel we should do a calab I was there today, surprised I haven't seen you! Always be carful the fish will take the line straight into the rocks. I will be there tomorrow as well.
Those are definitely "southern" Kingfish, did not know jersey gets them, thought they inhabited more southern waters. Northern' have a dark V-bar markings and has a long spine on its dorsal fin. I would assume they taste and fight the same though.
+Sea-Money Fishing ...I have never caught a southern one, always a northern. Then there's the Gulf kingfish 😂. They're all silver without any markings.
When you said kingfish on clams I was like WHAT, but then I saw you pull up a whiting... Never knew they were called that. But I use a very effective bait that lasts longer to catch whiting called Fishbites!
If you would have continued around the wall to right behind the church that is a great spot that whole stretch of wall is good for fishing it has a nice drop off and the fish seem to school up there. I know that wall really well use to live right around the corner on mulberry ave so I fished it a lot. Get vids bro and don't mind the haters comments hope to see you out there this fall. Tight lines bro.
Hey guys,, we love your stuff,,,,,very enjoyable & informative. (Even though your fishing Jersey instead of the NC OBX! ;>) It's raining, snowing, & freezing here in Ohio,,,, but that gave us the time to watch almost every vid you made! I sure wish you'd comment on your gear & the rigs that your using for each species. What reel, what line & poundage, type of leaders,,, mono, braid, flouro? What you like to use the most. I'd also like to know how deep the water is where your fishing & catching in your yaks. I pert-near died when your yak friend landed that 10# flounder,,, and you limited on over 18"ers! And by catching them on hair jigs & blue strips???? That's awesome. THANKS TONS for that tip! Down NC OBX,,,, there's no problem catching 20-30 flounder with live mullet, but we'd be hard pressed to get a limit of over 15"ers. Maybe those blue fish strips will change our luck! Thanks Again, & keep the great vids coming!
I'll be fishing Wildwood in late July but have never tried fishing there before. Are there any beaches that you can fish all day or are they all life guarded/ no fishing 10-5PM? Are there any beaches you can fish into the night without getting run off by authorities? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Just curious what reel you use and line size and type. I'm planning on getting a Penn fierce 2 combo and put 50lb braid on it. Im a flathead fisherman so I'm hoping I can use the same setup for small to medium sharks.
Hey I live in Jersey and I've been trying to look for spots for surf fishing. Where is this place located at? Also, any good recommendations on where the best spots are for surf fishing?
Yep, all the beaches in south jersey are producing kingfish right now, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Jettys and any beach are good places to catch.
Hey i live in south jersey can you tell me what location is that i dont go fishing like that but when i do that seems like a nice spot water looks clean well appreciate it
+Trek800z it's 30lb mono tied with 2 dropper loops above a weight, basically just a top and bottom rig. I'll try to include how I tie it in a future video
+christian cucinotta wildwood. Triggers are weird, they move in and move out at random, all it takes is one day of south wind or big swell and they move just offshore, I rarely catch them and it's generally calm days when the water is really clear and warm that I have any luck with them. I have seen pics online of them caught in shark river all the way to cape may in the past couple weeks, but it's a right place right time sorta thing, there one day gone the next. Pick a stable weather day away from a full or new moon for the best chance.. If they're there they are usually pretty cooperative
😂😂😂😂"Top secret spot"..seawall, north wildwood. Easy peazy.
eddie Maurer THANK YOU 🙏🏾
I was there this morning lol Hereford ave inlet

+Dp908 yep whiting, mullet, kingfish.... tomato tomAHto haha
We have fish related to your king whiting,
Called mulloway, (or kob in South Africa) they grow to 1meter plus. They are related to ancient cod.
enjoyed viewing your show, thanks. interesting, what we call king fish down here in Miami/Key Largo look different. Actually, to me, they look like a small red fish, or even a bone fish. fishing sharks from shore very kool too. thanks again, regards
Not to long ago I caught an 18 inch Kingfish just surf fishing :)
"Trigga my snigga"
That water looks very clear and pretty for New Jersey. I guess it depends which part.
amazing how blue and clear the water is this year around here

+Michael D'Anjolell past 8th street, the draw bridge that has a toll
+xkamuiz do you evacuate when a ship goes through

I did not know kingfish could be caught in south new jersey or trigger fish for that matter. Guess I learned today.

Northern' have a dark V-bar markings and has a long spine on its dorsal fin. I would assume they taste and fight the same though.
+Tony Hong Fishing interesting I didn't know there was a difference, good to know!
+Sea-Money Fishing ...I have never caught a southern one, always a northern. Then there's the Gulf kingfish 😂. They're all silver without any markings.
Did not see you at check in this morning, Duke of fluke is a good time.....
Looks like Hereford inlet!

Cool video. When I first heard you call it Northern Kingfish I was confused.
Yeah Man!!! Your buddy's noT having much luck over there.
When you said kingfish on clams I was like WHAT, but then I saw you pull up a whiting... Never knew they were called that. But I use a very effective bait that lasts longer to catch whiting called Fishbites!
Lol did anyone else think he was talking about king mackerel from the title?
I was supposed to say that's a Whitening.I didn't know they're called Kingfish to though are southern kingfish.that's cool thanks for the info man!
"Top secret spot" only a couple thousand people know where it is now

It's North Wildwood I believe
If you would have continued around the wall to right behind the church that is a great spot that whole stretch of wall is good for fishing it has a nice drop off and the fish seem to school up there. The water has been crazy clean. Tropical almost.
love your videos man !!!!!
Great vid! Do you think the offshore offshore angler ocean master round casting reel is good for light offshore fish and some 30lb stripers?
Hey guys,, we love your stuff,,,,,very enjoyable & informative.
(Even though your fishing Jersey instead of the NC OBX! ;>)
It's raining, snowing, & freezing here in Ohio,,,, but that gave us the time to watch almost every vid you made!

I fish that same spot...know it very well. thanks for the videos!
Hey, I was wondering what the name of this fishing spot was. Thank you!
@@AS-wn6zg it’s a secret my man, can’t be giving up my #1 spot
He knows how to fish. If I had a king mackerel team.
I have never heard whiting be called kingfish. You learn something g new everyday.
fish bites... excellent Spot fish & King fish bait.
love these videos
Love that spot. Nice vid.
I’ve fished that sea wall so many times. Nothing lol. You’re pulling them up like it’s easy. Any tips? Time of day? Tide?
Just curious what reel you use and line size and type. I'm planning on getting a Penn fierce 2 combo and put 50lb braid on it. Im a flathead fisherman so I'm hoping I can use the same setup for small to medium sharks.
King fish in Australia are a lot different 😂 they fight just as hard as a shark 😂😂😂
down in the south dead shrimp is the bait of choice to catch whiting (kingfish)
i just like your videos man, hello from spain :)
For the small king fish do you need a leader? Also can you me hook and weight suggestion thanks never saltwater fished before
I went out surf fishing with mackerel filet, bunker, mullet and squid but didn't catch anything is there any tips you could give me
Have you ever tried using bloodworm or sandflea tape, it seems to work well for "kingfish/whiting/sea mullet" and is very durable.
Where do you get it?
You should tell us which one you're talking about. I mean I know they're technically northern kingfish but still
that's the North Wildwood jetty nothing top-secret about it
in the south, they are called ground mullet
Hey I live in Jersey and I've been trying to look for spots for surf fishing. Where is this place located at? Also, any good recommendations on where the best spots are for surf fishing?
what type of weight were you using in this video and what weight would you recommend for shark fishing
great video
+I'm Tbone 5-6oz pyramids are usually all you need for sharkin
+Sea-Money Fishing ok thanks
ok so if u didn't know, dogfish are really good shark bait. I used a dog fish head and caught my 7ft sand tiger
my sister caught a 4 ft sand shark with a rubber bait...I wonder if it works out there
Shark Bait ? There good for fish Tacos and the Triggers are excellent Sushi enjoy
in south texas they are called drum or reds
I love your videos
Hello gaus do you know wish one is good for the sea fishing rods as I don't know wish one I have to get please thx
That is some great shark fishing.
are you chunking them up or whole? and what's the size limit on triggers up there
im british columbia flounder are considered a pest fish so the size limit is only 10 inches
Wow man- you came pretty close to losing your rod Huh? Crazy!
Use long lasting fish bites they work really good and they stay on really good
What rig are you using? I'm trying to get into saltwater fishing and I'm looking in on some expirenced people to guide me.
Jersey Cape Fishing with Fred Urlman. Where's Harry? lol
That's a whiting. I thought you ment the mackerel type. Whiting are not elusive or extremely aggressive
can you catch kingfish from the shore, like surf? or are the jetties better?
Yep, all the beaches in south jersey are producing kingfish right now, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Jettys and any beach are good places to catch.
You could make a drinking game with the amount you say "kingfish".
gotta catch some bait mang! lol, nice video keep it up dude!
lol I love the way he talks , son. LOL
+AsianInvasion yeah lol
Right by 2nd street beach in north ww. Lost many rigs there!
I am in the south jersey back bay and I've heard there are some stripers here do u have any tips
Hey i live in south jersey can you tell me what location is that i dont go fishing like that but when i do that seems like a nice spot water looks clean well appreciate it
Hello, can someone please tell me where this is?
Thank you
North wildwood sea wall
hey mind telling me what company made that small spotlight you have?
YOOO THATS CRAZY. I LIVE RIGHT THERE!!! I never fish this seawall I get snagged too much
Im 16 and im trying to wonder what bait is good for fishing out on the bay in galveston tx
I fish here every summer, It’s a nice spot there in North WW
kingfish down south are like big mackerel and until you said whiteing I was like wtf that not a kingfish lol
kingfish make good striper bait in the fall as well
Spot are great too.
^
I thought that was a croaker, not a Kingfish. Don't kingfish have stripes from top back to bottom front?
+Ben Kittrell sometimes they are striped but a lot of times they're plain gray like this. Croaker have sharper gills and are a little fatter
+Sea-Money Fishing OK thanks
Yeah I would use bluefish for bait before using whiting and triggers
can you give some info about how you tie the rigs like hooks and knots?
+Trek800z it's 30lb mono tied with 2 dropper loops above a weight, basically just a top and bottom rig. I'll try to include how I tie it in a future video
Are those hand tied rigs? And what leader strength are they made out of?
yep, 30lb mono, just 2 dropper loops above a weight.
+Sea-Money Fishing Alright, thanks. I usually use 15 lb and just upgraded to 20 lb. I've used 30 before but 20 seems to be the best for me.
Are these Atlantic Croakers or legit whiting/kingfish? it's hard to tell lol
Hi sea money fishing. How are you? what about south nj, can you give me the name where you fishing at? thanks.
What type of fishing line is he using & how many pounds test?
Where is this place because I haven't been able to catch and triggers yet this year
+christian cucinotta wildwood. Triggers are weird, they move in and move out at random, all it takes is one day of south wind or big swell and they move just offshore, I rarely catch them and it's generally calm days when the water is really clear and warm that I have any luck with them.
