I was out there today trying to snag some black drum. I go to wildwood every year during this time and flounder fish but only caught 2 shorts today and yesterday combined.
Really been enjoying all your videos! You have a great channel! I instantly subscribed. Have you ever been to Nantucket? I fished there a ton (before my disability)....if you enjoy fishing from shore for various species and killer views, you HAVE to go to Great Point in Nantucket. You can drive on the beach all the way out to the point and fish the rip
down here in Florida we use bunker in the crab traps, and we have a crab business so we have a freezer full of them, do you think they'd be good bait for down here? my parents don't think so but i don't know
Kevin Clayton I'm in Florida as well. Those bunker you are talking about are fantastic for sharks, freshwater and saltwater catfish, bluefish, jacks, stingrays and definitely crabs. Cut them into strips and fish structure you can get the mangrove snapper really easily. Tight lines dude.
Dude good luck I am exhausted!!! We had 0 striper bite tues and wens then some new guy brought a banana on the boat to. But ran out for seabass and did ok! Let's see how the weekend pans out for you!
Haha, I passed you while you were sitting in that crap! Do you and romo do The Duke of Fluke tourney at Sterling Harbor in Rio Grand? You should check it out! I won't make it this year due to health issues, won't be out in my yak till the fall run. I'd like to head out with you guys, yak fishing alone isn't as fun, or safe!
haha cool man, I havent done the duke of fluke by kayak, im guessing theres a kayak only division? Im up for it, Ill have to check it out. I actually got dragged into fishing it on a random dudes boat last year but we didn't do very well, we had 4 keepers all day and I dont think any went over 20", and that was after fishing 3 different reef sites... Id honestly way rather do it from yak.
+Sea-Money Fishing The prize money with the Calcutta is pretty good, and first place gets a nice fishing rod. Last year I weighed in a 3 1/2 pounder no big enough, but it was one worth trying! To celebrate the end of my treatments, I want to buy a new rod for down the beach, something for the jetties and the surf. I'm thinking G Loomis, or St. Croix. What do you think? I'd like to cast bombs like my river rods!
Have you ever tried using pompano rigs in the surf to get the bait suspended a little off the bottom? They can be a bit of a bitch to set up, but if you rig a handful up the night before they're quick and easy to change out if you break off.
+Sea-Money Fishing They work pretty good! and with a swivel on the top to quickly tie onto your main line and a snap swivel on the bottom so you can switch out different weight pyramid sinkers quickly make it quite effective.
hey sea-money fishing, I’m looking at purchasing some gear. I’m looking to get a surf rod and a inshore/offshore set ups . I don’t have a crazy budget and was looking to spend about 600 bucks total on both a surf set up and inshore/offshore rigs not 600 a piece . what is your recommendation on rods and spinning reel combo's. any info would be great. I’m looking for ease of transportation and longevity. Thank you in advance from one Philly angler to another. salt life is new to me I’ve been fishing fresh water all my life but recently got into salt water since moving back to Philadelphia from up-state PA. once again THANK YOU for your advice and keep up the great videos
Drew Miller I know this comment was for sea money but I saw it and figured I'd throw in a tidbit of info. Check out penn fishing reels and rods, they make great rods for everything from little mangrove snappers to Goliath grouper, Sharks, and tuna. They have conventional spinning and bait casting gear. Check out the Spinfisher V reel I have one in 4500 size and running 30 pound power pro. Catch flounder, big Jack Crevalle, bluefish, cats and most other inshore fish with it. I'm getting it in the 10500 size for sharks on the surf. Tight lines and I hope this helped.
yea you can catch decent fish all around that inlet. fluke, blues, stripers etc, there is an original style of fishing there where guys fish the 50'-100' depths in ripping current and pull big fish all season long, definitely worth spending some time there
When hooking a bunker head make sure it's well placed if you use the meat part I prefer the lips even though it spins you have bait security a big striper running hard will rip that head right off
Just so you know, you don't measure it on an angle or with the curve of the body. Straight line from tip of the nose to the end of the tail. You are allowed to squeeze the tail together in most states to get a little extra.
Great video! What's the best month for shore fishing in cape may? best water temperature? I went last week, caught my 2 first dogfish and I wanna come back for more!
Nice video. I can't stand them sharks. I was down the jersey shore surf fishing last year a few times and only caught them and skates, the two most unwanted fish lol.
what's up Chris! I'm 2.5 hours away from Cape May and wanted to try surf fishing. Do you know any bait shop around Cape May that selling fresh bunkers?
Nice striper! What type of Star rod were you using? Can't beat Star Rods for the money and warranty service. Love my 9' Stellar, 7'6" Stellar, and 7' Aerial Jetty.
Yo, quick question for you sea money, maybe you can help me out. I primarily use bait, and I'm looking to get a new Rod. I have an Okuma CSX-S 10' medium heavy that I love. I'm thinking about either a Tica UGSA aka Tica Dolphin, or a Tsunami Airwave Elite. You have any input on either of these?
I’m South Africa Dogfish are called Smoothounds and are highly priced for their meat and have been fished to extinction, they are amazing fighters and Iv caught one of 20kg by no means a junk fish , yes treat fish with more respect.
gotcha yea congrats on the purchase, I honestly prefer to fish from shore BUT many times there are much better things going on within range of kayak so I find myself yakkin a lot. That cape may area is pretty good this time of year, anywhere from the ferry terminal all the way to where the villas end is decent for stripers and drum. Its a little late for the stripers at this point but you could still catch, however, the drum fishing should be pretty good right about now.
+Sea-Money Fishing if you go in October on Avalon pier you can catch 30lb + red drum there was one day they caught 100+ red drum you should take a trip up in October
+CRAZY GAMER234 yea you gotta see what the waves and tide are like and chose a big bough weight to hold bottom. Have used as much as 16oz from the beach
You thought that shit was ridiculous? Move, full time, to Rhode Island. Shit is so crooked here, they don't even want to get it done. Big bass spots though.
I respect you a lot man. Best fishing videos on TH-cam. Huge variety of species and nice long videos. Nothing to complain about
You finally keep one of the monsters you be catching good to see every once in a while. Fish is too good to not crave sometimes👍🏻
Cape May is a beautiful place. My Family used to always go on vacations to Wildwood but I would always run away to Cape May. A lot more peaceful.
Loved your speech there at the end and I can definitely relate to those words. This was a great video.
Love your videos, I’m from Rio Grande next to Cape May. I learn a lot from you, thanks for your videos...
Hey I love cape may go there all the time in the summer. I am headin down to the shore this weekend to surf fish in cape may I think
Just realized the exact spot u r at is the exact spot I sit on the beach at. Literally. Crazy. I Iove ur vids keep it up
+Quakell 72 nice man keep an eye out for whales if you're down there this weekend!
that fresh bunker smell is bringing in the ladies
bitches love fresh bunk
+Jesse Quail LMAO
Hey, i live down here and you should try off of the rockpiles in north cape may, near the ferry. We always get stripers there
Nice vid dude. Your enthusiasm is refreshing. Nice bass!
Your an amazing channel you should have way more subscribers keep up the good work
I was out there today trying to snag some black drum. I go to wildwood every year during this time and flounder fish but only caught 2 shorts today and yesterday combined.
Did you get her number? You guys witnessed something crazy together
Something I think about are the random moments that you share with a random person. Seeing a whale that close to shore while talking to a stranger.
Man these videos were awesome! This came up on my rewatch recommendations and I'm glad I did!
"Alls you need is a bucket- lol!
Here on the south shore of LI we have tons of these. Most in the 5' range. It's a great fish for kids since we have so many.
Really been enjoying all your videos! You have a great channel! I instantly subscribed. Have you ever been to Nantucket? I have never been there but that sounds awesome! I will def fish there before I die haha
Dude love your videos. Im in North Jersey and could so dig fishing with you.
You and those scissors. LOL. Every video. Cutting fish in half and what not. Cool Videos.
the traffic rage in the beginning was great! I've totally been there!!!
That was great! Thanks! I'd like to fish with you some time. I've never caught a striper but it's my holy grail now
down here in Florida we use bunker in the crab traps, and we have a crab business so we have a freezer full of them, do you think they'd be good bait for down here? my parents don't think so but i don't know
Snook love crabs
Kevin Clayton I'm in Florida as well. Those bunker you are talking about are fantastic for sharks, freshwater and saltwater catfish, bluefish, jacks, stingrays and definitely crabs. Cut them into strips and fish structure you can get the mangrove snapper really easily. Tight lines dude.
Kevin Clayton the scent/oil/slime from a bunker is prefect for Florida. The Sharks will go nuts.
Dude good luck I am exhausted!!! We had 0 striper bite tues and wens then some new guy brought a banana on the boat to. But ran out for seabass and did ok! Let's see how the weekend pans out for you!

Always exciting at any of cape may's 23 dog fish beaches
can you please make a quick video on how you tie the loop knot you run when you fish flukes
I feel your frustration on the I 95 construction.
Have you ever tried using pompano rigs in the surf to get the bait suspended a little off the bottom?
They can be a bit of a bitch to set up, but if you rig a handful up the night before they're quick and easy to change out if you break off.
I'll have to look those up, never used them I don't think.
+Sea-Money Fishing They work pretty good! and with a swivel on the top to quickly tie onto your main line and a snap swivel on the bottom so you can switch out different weight pyramid sinkers quickly make it quite effective.
Hi , Man I always enjoy your video's , here in California we don't catch stripers you catch and release, keep posting please. thanks again.

do you ever fish near indian river, de? my pops just moved down there for work, looking forward to doing some fishing down there
yea you can catch decent fish all around that inlet. fluke, blues, stripers etc, there is an original style of fishing there where guys fish the 50'-100' depths in ripping current and pull big fish all season long, definitely worth spending some time there
awesome, thanks!
The striper looks so tiny on camera. I thought it was a short lol
Heading out here today for a few days. Any recommendations for surf fishing at night? Awesome video!!!
better than the best you cant beat fishing enjoy every moment
When hooking a bunker head make sure it's well placed if you use the meat part I prefer the lips even though it spins you have bait security a big striper running hard will rip that head right off

Nice striper! What type of Star rod were you using? Can't beat Star Rods for the money and warranty service. Love my 9' Stellar, 7'6" Stellar, and 7' Aerial Jetty.

nice video and channel, subscribed
thanks man!
can you keep dogfish? heard they taste good.
Great video. When you caught that stripper were you fishing in the morning or when the sun was setting?
Any rules on keeping dogfish in nj? Thinking of keeping for crab bait
Fishing every week?!
Nice video.
was it bad without using the anchor in the bay ?
Do you ever use sandworms for stripers on the beach
Thats fish abuse dont trow the pregnant fish you could kill her kids but nice fishing mate
I always wondered why people wear waders in the kayak? Can anyone give me a logical answer?
they have to walk the kayak into and out of the water bro so they wear waders to avoid getting wet
I’m South Africa Dogfish are called Smoothounds and are highly priced for their meat and have been fished to extinction, they are amazing fighters and Iv caught one of 20kg by no means a junk fish , yes treat fish with more respect.
Have you ever fished Bethany beach area?
Chris Deitch that's close to where i live
Hey man great vid, where you launching from?
thanks we launched in the villas, not sure of street name but somewhere a couple miles north of the ferry terminal
+Sea-Money Fishing thanks man, just got a hobie this year so trying to get schooled, thanks again for making these vids
gotcha yea congrats on the purchase, I honestly prefer to fish from shore BUT many times there are much better things going on within range of kayak so I find myself yakkin a lot. That cape may area is pretty good this time of year, anywhere from the ferry terminal all the way to where the villas end is decent for stripers and drum. Its a little late for the stripers at this point but you could still catch, however, the drum fishing should be pretty good right about now.
+Sea-Money Fishing awesome man thanks for the info I'll have to plan a trip this week or weekend
Great intro
What's your rod, reel and line set up for the conventional reel and rod
Hm I never knew cape may allowed vehicles on their beaches. That's not cape may😶
have you ever been fishing in North Carolina
Yep, never caught anything crazy down there but plenty of fish to be had down there
+Sea-Money Fishing how about OBX
Yea thats where Ive fished, if you go to the manteo causeway bridge with some shrimp you will catch something! croaker and lots of other fish there.
+Sea-Money Fishing if you go in October on Avalon pier you can catch 30lb + red drum there was one day they caught 100+ red drum you should take a trip up in October
+Sea-Money Fishing have you ever fished in California?
Nice vid! I understand those type of traffic here in MD especially trying to go fishing lol
No poppers or lures this time?
You mentioned renting a cabin...could you elaborate?
Did you ever use gulp for striped bass
Bubba Hunter I have caught many while on the beach for fluke. A bucktail and gulp was something they couldn't turn away.
What was that conventional set up you had there?
What pound test did you use.
the entirety of pennsylvania hasnt got their construction down
I know it's complete trash
What kind of line are you using? lb test?
What part of cape may u at on the island of cape may?
How tight do you set your drag on that spinner when chunking?
Would you ever use an 8 oz lead
+CRAZY GAMER234 yea you gotta see what the waves and tide are like and chose a big bough weight to hold bottom. Have used as much as 16oz from the beach
+Sea-Money Fishing if you have a 16oz do you use a boat to get the bait and lead. Please check out my channel because I have fishing
What kind of conventional reel is that
I'm from PA too, PennDOT is useless.
If you like jokes about PennDOT you should subscribe to Pittsburgh Dad. I'm not even from Pittsburgh and I think he is hilarious.
Jersey is one the best places to live but it's been hot as hell the past day or two
yeeeep
Best place to live? The rudest and ignorant people and there are too many of them in this smallest armpit of states of all !!!!
its not that bad
+Kanspam Un agreed jersey is trash lol
Every place has its ups and downs. There are honestly rude people anywhere you go as well as nice people. Its what you make it.
What type of reel are you using?
You thought that shit was ridiculous? Move, full time, to Rhode Island. Shit is so crooked here, they don't even want to get it done. Big bass spots though.
Are you eat the fish ?
