I owe the Christians but more than that I owe the creator who gave me the eternal indigenous faith.

Ethiopia was sending out missionaries when people in Britain were worshipping Woden.

Very fascinating. I know some about the Coptic church. We western Christians are so parochial in our understandings. Why are we so close minded? The world of western culture is so arrogant thinking we have it all and know it all. God please help us.
I rarely watch tv to participate in what someone thinks I need to know.

The Maronite Catholic Church uses Syriac in its liturgy. Lebanon was using Syriac from the earliest times of the Christian Church there, which was in the first century.

Wow he talks so fast, i cant seem to follow.... this must be how people perceive me when i go off on a rant and they can't keep up. Lol. Maybe i gotta slow it down, ive been rewinding over and over, its too fast to multitask and do other stuff at the same time. Doesnt help that its all new material to me

Wow this is really great; a whole gignatic section of history in the faith that has been ignored (and much worse) in the West.
I always wondered about what Coptics and Syriacs believed/believe now, and how the populations (both physical DNA/flesh, and ideas and ways of thinking - like thinking cyclically rather than linearly in terms of time and history)
Im going to see if this guest has his own channel. If not, then perhaps an organization that he's part of, that focuses on such topics, if not a youtube channel that just acts as a central repository of links or locally hosted (on the site or channel) of his expounding on these and other issues.

Sorry but this is not scholarship. This is just Christian apologist. African religion and spirituality predates Christianity by thousands of years. African and ancient Mesopotamia religions predates the Hebrew language. This guy starts after Northern Africa was already colonized by the Romans, and of course by then they were already indoctrinated with Christianity. And Christianity had already reinterpreted the Jewish text. Jesus never spoke against slavery and Paul doubled down on slavery. If you want real scholarship, try Bart D Ehrman 😂

😂 Have you read Exodus? Freedom from slavery is foundational to biblical theology. Where do you think black Christian abolitionists got the idea that they should not be enslaved by other white Christians? The Bible’s primary focus is on our slavery to sin foreshadowed in Exodus and fulfilled in Yeshua (Jesus). The Bible never instituted slavery, that was a way of life before the Bible was written but it lays the foundation for its abolition in that it teaches that every human is made in God's image. Just because the Bible has instructions for people living at a time when slavery was an accepted way of life in all the nations on earth at the time doesn’t mean it approves it.
I’m sure many religions predate Christianity what’s your point? They don’t predate Yahweh (God) or the historical Adam and Eve and their descendants who called on the name of Yahweh (Genesis 4:26). And Scripture teaches Yeshua (Jesus) is Yahweh so?!
The Romans weren’t Christians they were pagans and thought Christians were atheists because they only worshipped one God. They were burning Christians alive while Africans were getting saved. It wasn’t until the fourth century that Christianity was seen as a Roman religion. There is evidence of Christian literature in Egypt before the second century.
Also, how could Yeshua (Jesus) and Sha’ul (Saul/Paul) misrepresent the religion they grew up in? They were trained in Torah since they were children and could quote the whole thing! No way! They spoke against the religious Jewish leaders who were misrepresenting their religion. Put Bart Ehrman down and pick up Vince Bantu’s book. Lol
