Hi Roly, how are you doing? I heard that Oli London has become a Catholic Christian. I'm Lgbtq and catholic and all I can say is that Oli puts me in a bad position because people within both the Catholic community and lgbtq community are just starting to get along because I know that pope Francis supports gay marriage, so for Oli to do that it ruins that platform on both sides.
Hello Roly, I absolutely love you and Luxeria!! I was born in 1956, so yes I am a boomer, but I love that you are so straight forward. When I was growing up you never heard about gays or trans, gay was something you felt not something you were (coke was something you drank not something you sucked up your nose). I have found out so much from watching you and Luxeria. I understand more now as well. I started watching you at first so I could try and understand my granddaughter. She identifies as non-binary and bisexual, she as feelings for both male and female (I forgot to mention that she is 12 years old). I love her with everything that is in me and accept her as she is. So I needed to find out all I could. You are very compassionate person. Please don't let the butt holes ruin your day. Love you Roly.

There is something pathological in someone to always need attention by tearing others apart. I am a boomer and a retired nurse who worked during the AIDS epidemic and I saw my colleagues judge these men. I was engaged as these patients needed compassion and love. They were great people with an ugly virus. ❤

My friends got the compassion and love from me, when they contracted AIDS. lt was a damn terrifying time.
Thankyou for being a loving and compassionate person in those horrible times. So many lives were lost during the 80's to such a horrible disease. Those people, mostly gay men, needed compassion and understanding - not the hate and vilification they received.
I lost a few friends back then, and the way they were treated was terrible. I also lost 2 friends, who were brother's in their mid 20's in the early 2000's as a result of AIDS, and even after all these years, they were treated terribly by some of the medical staff.
I think oli needs serious help and a reality check. What he's doing isn't OK and it's very destructive to the community x

They are a grifter like Candice Owens or Dave Rubin, tokens from ethnic minorities or the LGBT communities that the right weaponise to say ‘Hey we are not bigots, there are gay and POC ppl who agree with us’ whilst they throw their own communities under the bus for power and money.
I don’t know if Olli is doing it for money, but throwing the LGBT community under the bus to gain attention from alt-right/ fascist news outlets is appalling to say the least.

Kinda reminds me of the phrase "If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything." It seems to apply mostly to people who have little to no sense of personal integrity because the most important thing in their mind is the attention. Doesn't matter who they have to step on to get to the top.

A 22-year-old gunman entered an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, just before midnight Saturday and immediately opened fire, killing at least five people and injuring 25 others, before patrons confronted and stopped him, police said Sunday. This world is too filled with hate.
My hope is that those patrons were angry Drag Queens wielding panty-hoses filled with rocks.
And I blame FuxNoose and every last damned Republiqan politician in this country for that shooting.
It's so upsetting for me watching Instagram slowly turn to shit. I have been on it for years and it's the only social media that has ever worked well for me, and when reels started to be a thing it was just disheartening. I can't use TikTok bc the endless scrolling makes me anxious. I'm trying to build up a following for my desired career as a fine artist so I'm trying to make reels and stuff so I can do that, but it's just annoying as filming reels take up a lot of time for me. It is also upsetting for me to see art distilled into a short video because it feels like it sucks the soul out of it. I'm trying to make reels in a way that still sort of interesting and fun, but I would rather it wasn't a thing I had to do! I'm mostly housebound rn, so social media is my outlet and platform for me to build some sort of career on, so it is scary when they start to crumble. ❤
About this channel, I love it so much, I love putting on a video here and it feels like I’m on face time with a friend. Thanks for the new video Roly, keep it up I think I can speak for myself and others when I say we enjoy it as much as you do.

It’s unfortunate that we really can’t do anything to stop people like Oli & Caitlin Jenner from spewing their nonsense & from further harming the LGBTQ+ community. I just have to tell myself that their karma will come back around to them one day. Now, I’m not wishing suffering on anyone, but I do hope for a rude awakening for people who purposely use their platform to spread misinformation & hatred.

You’re not on your own Roly. I despair how much hate their seems to be. The world needs to change but I’m so scared for my teenage children that it’ll take something catastrophic to change. Please remember you’re one of the good guys and it’s people like you spreading your voice that helps this world too. I truly feel like there are two distinct types of human beings. People like Oli just seem to be missing some vital element of humanity which makes us capable of feeling genuine empathy for others. It's really difficult to navigate too because they are often capable of feigning whichever trait suits their agenda on any given day. No wonder I don't leave the house much!
I don’t think the world realizes how special you are!! I am in my 40s, and grew up in the southern United States. I grew up in fear of coming out. Which in turn has instilled internal homophobia in my self! We didn’t have folks like you in the mainstream 30 years ago. I am proud to be who I am, and so happy that people like you exist. Instagram is horrible for artists so it is loosing many people. I think twitter will be able to survive on half lung for long time because even with being so toxic it's home for many people. I see some trying to move to Tumblr so we may see Tumblr coming back which feels weird
With the social media thing you mentioned, I've seen a similar thing happen to tiktok. I made an account at the start of 2021 and it was really fun back then, I met a lot of amazing people and it was actually kinda good for my mental health as well.
But now, everyone is just so mean to each other constantly. And if I dare to mention in any comment section that I'm a trans man, I get a huge wave of comments such as "you're not a man, you're a mentally ill woman!"
It's just not fun anymore to exist on the Internet as an lgbtqia person, especially when you're a trans person. I just started T and I'm scared of making public videos about my transition journey because I might end up on the wrong person's fyp, or end up on libsoftiktok.

I’m so sorry you’ve gone through all that Roly. How horrific to have had that incident with a stalker in the first place then to find out your ex housemate was in communication with said stalker THEN to find out a close friend is wilfully unashamedly spending time with said ex housemate. It’s awful!
I have fallen out with every close friend I ever had to the point where I now have no friends. I see people online saying “if you’ve got no friends maybe you’re the problem”, and I can completely understand that logic, but I can also say without any doubt that I’m not the problem. I’ve found out over the years that lots of people said horrible/ weird things about me behind my back. In secondary school a close friend had been calling me fat and ugly. In sixth form, after very obviously avoiding my texts/ calls and making excuses not to see me, my best friend had been saying that he wasn’t happy about me getting on well with some people he had introduced me too, and he said that he ‘knew I was going to make it in life but he wasn’t going to stick around for a piece of the fame’, which was by far the strangest thing someone has said as a reason to distance themselves from me. Another of my friends told me straight up a couple of years ago that he was ‘tired of talking about illness and drama all the time’, not long after I’d been diagnosed with a chronic illness that has completely changed my life. That one hurt a lot because he made me feel like I was never allowed to talk about my issues, but I was always there helping him through whatever was going on with him. Also the ‘drama’ he mentioned was me having to cut contact with my dad. These are just a few examples.
All this to say I completely empathise with that sense of betrayal you’ve been experiencing. It can make you feel quite sick. And I do think it’s normal to wonder if you can trust people after all that. As I’ve said I don’t have any friends now, and that’s largely because I don’t leave the house anymore due to my illness. But honestly sometimes I feel relieved that I don’t have to deal with all that shit anymore. If I do meet someone lovely of course I wouldn’t avoid their friendship, but I think I’ll always have a bit of skepticism towards new people. And I won’t be sharing anything particularly personal until I feel I can really trust someone. I’m glad you have Calum and Luxeria and I hope you can move past all this as best as possible ❤

I know what it's like to have no friends and nobody to confide in. I cut my family out my life as they were so toxic it was making me ill. Twitter has been like this for YEARS in my opinion. I hardly ever click on Trending Topics cz I think "Ooooh God, who's fighting now?" There is NEVER a single TT where someone isn't attacking someone else, and that has been a thought of mine for a few years now... especially during the rona. It's been a wild ride. I like tweeting nonsense, viral videos or funny shit with friends but literally anything outside of your circle of followers etc... It's just arguments.
I fully relate to your utter confusion you experienced in response to outwardly TERF or LGBTQIA exclusionary ideals. I felt that way in the last Candice Owens scandal because I couldn't understand how a woman of colour could broadcast and spread such exclusionary ideas when she lives in a community that is so openly racist in parts and is in the very fabric of society and societal structure. It was almost the realisation that people who experience oppression, marginalisation or othering aren't exempt from also being part of another group that is oppressing someone else.
Some people really believe that all people aren't equal in value. And it's a sorry state of affairs, but is not new.
The stagnant state of society is disgusting. Some things change and grow and develop in the blink of a eye....but basic acceptance of your fellow man feels like an impossible task along with the view that all people should strive to be in a default state of basic polite decency with each other.

But to see you doing a more subdued chatty style video where you talk about your opinions and values is a very happy addition to your channel. As far as Oli London goes its important that we continue to show how he uses people their race, their sexual identity and religion for his own gain. We need to highlight how much of a pathetic individual he is, so there’s no one alive who doesn’t know what he has done. We need to get him where it hurts, his paycheck. I will say that as far as people go you and Lux are my favorite millennials on stuff like this, y'all still have a lot of insight and don't have a "got mine f yours" mentality, I'm a 'zillennial' where I could be classified as either, a baby millennial or an elder zoomer, and in my limited time I have seen so many millennials turn around and do the same things they hated the boomers doing as soon as they feel like they've either "got theirs" or will get theirs if only they act enough like a boomer in their lifestyle and morals.
I'll be honest with you... I'm really not liking instagram lately... I wanna look at my explore page assuming it'll actually be based off of my actual interests and lots of floofy animals, but I tend to run into a lot of gross videos that I really don't want to see and it's really upsetting and unsettling sometimes. I don't know if you get them too but oh my god, put a warning on or something! The algorithm is so fucked up!
Also the you talking about Oli London make me think about how 2 years ago, Lohanthony (if you don't know him, he was a gay youtuber and he's 23 years old at the moment i think) disappeared from youtube for a bit and came back and he said he is christian, did conversation therapy, blamed substance use on being gay etc, and it's really sad when people from their open-mindedness to... that.

I think oli realized the lgbt+ doesn't support him. So he needs to find another group that will. (Even though they probably wont) but I think oli feels like he needs to fit into a niche somewhere.
For social media...MySpace back in the day will always be the best. It was fully customizable and the only drama you had was "the top 8" haha. And AOL instant messenger haha. I'm sad Instagram is dying cause it's my current favorite. I miss the way it used to work though.
The only problem with "something new" (to replace Twitter) is that it will still be all the same people and opinions migrating over. It's just a sad reality that some people are just awful.
I think we should bring back MySpace or something like it. That way we can post and not get hate nearly as much as we do on other apps. TH-cam is okay for the most part (even though they shut down my other channel), and I agree that something needs to take it's place for some of these other apps that have become unbearable to scroll through, post on or have comments open.
Another thing I'm actually surprised at was that Tucker (replace the T with an F is what my friends say about him lol) is known in more than just the U.S. YIKES!!! UGH!! Nasty guy who loves to seek out and prey on anyone who might be looking for that kind of stuff to spew.
I like these types of videos as well. It's always interesting to see "behind the scenes" of any channels I watch, more perspective and understanding of what's going on!

I've only been watching yours and Luxeria's channels for a little over a month, but already I'm quite fond of both your vlogs. As for Oli, I think it's safe to assume he will never, ever be happy. As far as Twitter goes, I deleted it years ago before Musk because it was so toxic.
Couldn't agree more, these kinds of people who do this stuff just end up hurting marginalized people for their own monetary gain, or to try so desperately to get attention. Surely they can't be happy doing this, but then maybe they just don't have a conscience/morals? I mean if you really wanna be famous, get in to something like fashion or modelling and try to be good at it, or TH-cam or streaming, or even reality TV, I don't get why you'd be hateful or try to make a whole community look ridiculous just for attention.
Edit: Also I'm 20 and from the UK so was in school not that long ago, and being queer is still stigmatised and we're hated on. I wasn't even out as a trans guy then (tried to come out at 13 but was dismissed again and again until my parents finally accepted me 2 years ago at 18), and I got severely bullied for not fitting in. I got bullied in PE in year 7 and 8 because I wore boxers (they were technically girl boxers but I remember they gave me a little bit of gender euphoria lol, wasn't even fully aware of what that was back then) and having hair on my legs and got called the D slur just weird shit like that. I've never understood it. But yeah I was queer and not allowed to be out and myself, but I was still severely bullied in school up until I left 2 years ago, so I can't imagine that it's being taught in schools the way the conservatives like to make out. Even in sex ed there was one single mention that gay men exist but when I say one mention I mean it literally, one sentence, didn't even talk about lesbians or any other LGBT+ people. This was like 6-7 years ago so I highly doubt that much has changed in the way oli portrayed it lol

Hi Roly 😊. I hope you are doing well. I subscribed to your other channel just about 1 year and a half - 2 years ago. It is a sad state of affairs when people's actions are so hateful. I do think you are right about He is just trying to get attention. Good, bad, indifferent doesn't matter to those type of people. Unfortunately, there are people that are willing to give someone attention even when they are doing the wrong thing. It is terrible what he has done to the LGBTQ+ community. And the fact that those far right channels and "personalities" didn't ask him actual important questions says ALOT. Unfortunately there are many many people that take those channels as 100% fact. Regardless that what they are actually doing is just spouting hate. I do think you do a wonderful job in your videos. You are considerate, compassionate, and you do try to give people the benefit of the doubt. keep being your awesome self. And keep calling out the bs. No matter where it's coming from.

People saying things like "well I feel more sorry for the kids they groomed." Like do people like that and like Oli feel any shame at all?

Same, I joined around 6 months ago now after watching strange aeons for around 4 years and its such a nice break from all other social medias I've tried out. I love how you can go into comment sections of lgbtq+ stuff and they usually won't be complete cesspits of right wingers and how the ads aren't intrustive (ehem, youtube) and you can unapologetically engage in fandom.
I feel like if tumblr gets a ton of users (especially people who are used to arguing on twitter) the comments will become a bit more of a cesspit and corporations and ads will slowly start invading.
@@pinkghostie yeah I joined back in 2014 and it used to be so chaotic, but it was okay depending on which sort of blogs you followed haha. I do prefer the layout of Tumblr for discovering artists compared to Twitter and Instagram.

I hate ppl who do these things just for fame at any cost. Oli London really needs some help. It's like he's just constantly being fake to find the easiest route to fame. Like 'I don't care what ppl are saying about me as long as they're talking about me'
People are learning just how easy it is to go online and take out their frustrations on others with little to no retribution. So, just about all social media platforms are rife with miserable people whose sole goal is to make others feel worse, like it somehow elevates themselves. It's faulty thinking, but here we are. The platforms are great, but many of the users need a reboot. I think those leaning far right need to lean a little in the the left and those leaning far left need to lean a little in the the right...we gotta find some common sense middle ground. We're not going to find that out there on the perimeter.

Unfortunately evil and hateful people will never go away and I just don't understand. I wish everyone could be just nice to each other, but that's definitely wishful thinking so I try to do the best I can at being me and not caring about what others think. I've grown up, most of my life having friends that just decide to not want to know me anymore for no reason so now I'm careful how I choose my friends and thankfully now I have a small circle of really close friends that I truly can call family 🖤💜
Honestly i feel like its getting worse and worse for anyone whos LGBTQ+. Its beyond not safe for us anywhere (not thay it ever REALLY was). Im just so scared. And its terrifying to watch people you know suddenly become far right biggots. One of my closest childhood friends flipped and is gomophobic and transphobic too, and its wild to expierence that. .

Roly , you are a beautiful soul and because of that of course all this hate and toxicity will affect you, I hope you manage to not be floored by it. There's a verse in the bible that you don't have to believe in God for it to make sense " Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good" Sensitive and compassionate souls have a tendency to be overcome and get sad, and angry and depressed by peoples hatefulness but the best we can do is be the alternative. You do that already. I;m a boomer too 😀 and my eldest child is a nonbinary lesbian . I will do everything in my power to stand up and fight for LGBTQ people . We both love you . I agree with what you said about Instagram I used to have an art Account where I’d post and sell my art and it used to be very popular and pick up well I got a lot of engagement but around a year ago something happened and now I stopped getting a lot of engagement and I just don’t do it anymore now. Btw very excited to see the new Pokémon boxes, I just bought Scarlet can’t wait to play it

You know when I was younger, and I heard the story in the Guinness world records book about the first pregnant man and I just thought that was normal. I knew nothing about him being transgender nor did I know what transgender was or that it was a term I just thought it was a normal man that was pregnant. Nobody taught me about being transgender. I eventually learned over time about what that was and I came to realization like oh okay that makes sense. Nobody’s taught me.
My mum used to be a TERF bc she is in the gender and health field focusing on women’s rights but then she bought a book and spoke to people and her views have totally changed
It's so weird when people go so far left that they turn right! I have lost a few friends that way. They went from "fight hate" to "all lives matter" I couldn't understand or reason with them.
I honestly had the same rant to my husband after watching your video. I think it is disgusting at how Oli can change their mind and then blame everyone else for it. They are a grown adult and need to take responsibility for what they are doing.

I use youtube as an entertainment and informative channel. It's how i managed to drill through tiles to put up a cupboard.

I think we all feel your need to vent and the totally unsettling effect that thing has on people with its constant shock exhibitionist content (its like a walking soap opera - one thing dies down and another shock factor event crops up). I vaguely move around on some other social medias but only ever look at those that interest me like the mains for games I play or artists I follow and try to scroll past the complete twaddle that seems to be the norm for some. Honestly if they want to read so much junk just get a Mills n Boons box set FFS! Never understood tiktok/Snapchat though, never really understood the ritual some people have of obediently watching things like soaps or news morning and night or reading a newspaper either so I'm usually out of the loop on a lot - which a lot of people in my age group seem to revel in.

Honestly, even watching his previous video, (where he came out as nb and "transracial"-__-) it alreaDy felt like some kind of weird, vicious commentary on trans identities?
Like him trying to compare being transgender to "changing your race" and the nonsense with the Korean Jimin pronouns like, it felt like ridicule towards the trans community.
And part of me sort of felt like, he was being an undercover transphobe, like a weird stunt to make some point that like 'oh if you all say claiming another race is bad/offensive/crazy, how is it different to claiming another gender' type thing??

I understand the need to decompress from that video. To be honest I couldn't even watch it all the way through because I couldn't stand Oli's stupidity. Nothing annoys more than buyer's remorse BS. If this is that, and not just a stunt for more attention. I understand regretting choices you've made and learning from them. What I detest, is some of those people deciding "for the good of others" trying to make those choices either unavailable or illegal. Smoking, abortion, drinking etc. Everyone should have the right to make the choices that are right for them. Not every one has the same experience with the same choices. Live your life to the best of your ability and give others the freedom to do the same.
No one held a gun to London's head and made him get those surgeries. He just needs to be in the limelight at all times regardless of how that's achieved. Maybe if people quit giving him attention he'll disappear into oblivion.

TH-cam has a good algorithm, which is both a good thing, and a bad thing. I think a lot of flat earthers and conspiracy theorists got more radicalized from falling in to a bad rabbit hole of content on TH-cam.
That is kind of the big problem with algorithms based on engagement. It can really send people down a horrible path in a really bad way.
Because all it takes is a little engagement, which then snowballs 'cause the algorithm keeps serving up more, and more bad content.
Totally with you on it all x I never liked those style shows when they where popular back in the day. It's all basically a freakshow where the only winners are the greedy money grabbing media. Hate it all, makes me shudder.

Arielle Scarcella seemed to be like a shitty person even in her 'liberal' phase, she made a video of lesbians talking about bisexual women, saying really derogatory things (as a bi person I had to stop watching it was so upsetting), I heard a great deal of criticism of her from other trans people, and she also made a video with Jaclyn Glenn basically bullying Riley Dennis's girlfriend for calling out her transphobia, she is also a Trump supporter now.
I'm pretty sure jacyln Glenn has separated from her now.

Hi, you hate what societies become because your an Empath. The world needs more of them. I agree 1000%, I've commented on videos that make fun of people suffering addiction. These kinds of shows are still a thing because people havent changed about how they feel about themselves and others in comparison. It's easy to point at someone on a show and think 'oh look at this freak (no matter if they're too heavy or have mental health issues (like hoarders or my strange addiction)) and think to themselves 'that makes me feel so much more 'normal'.
And I think lgbtq+ ppl just get thrown in there because they're a minority. The thing is, cis het average Joe will never be able to really relate to anything like that fully and even if they dont openly hate on people then, they might still look at it all like it's a big freak show and they're the only person that's sane. It just makes them feel better. I don't think these shows will ever stop existing.

Its capitalism, at least in part. People are struggling to survive. When they realize how much money they can make, and fairly easily, its enticing to them. I couldn't ever do it because I wouldn't be able to live with throwing my community under the bus. But I can understand how the money makes it easier for some people. 🤷♀️ It's very sad.
