- Bond takes on Jaws in the finale of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977). No stage or location could be found for the interior of the Liparus, so production designer Ken Adam designed a new permanent stage at Pinewood. Built in only 13 weeks, including the interior tanker set, the 007 Stage became the largest film stage in the world.
My stepdad is a dentist and he met Richard Kiel who played Jaws. He also has a signed (framed) picture from him, addressing my stepdad directly. I’ve been told Richard was just the loveliest man
I heard he was a complete jerk who got drunk and bit people at parties, occasionally eating them.
Did your stepdad need WD40?
Nope, just a stepladder to greet him lol
❤
Richard Kiel is from Lithuania
When the henchman outshines and outlives the main villain.
I love the end when Jaws surfaces after the explosions are done and the base has sunk. You just know he'll get another bite at the cherry as he swims away 😎
0:40 that smile is so funny. Roger Moore still is my favorite 007
Right?! That shit-eating grin he gives Jaws ALWAYS cracks me up 🤣🤣
The smile he gives him in Moonraker is fucking hilarious.
In Cable fight scene Yeah
"How does that grab you?"
Easy, Bond. You gave him quite the mouthful.
Well it was nice of him to offer Jaws A LIFT lol
Well played, good sir.
@@Vikingr4Jesus5919 Thanks lol
Jaws (spy who love me ) vs 1975 movies 🎬 jaws shark 🦈
Anya : where's jaws
Me : oh he had to dive in
This is the scene that got Richard Kiel to be the only henchman to appear twice. The chemistry of these 2 guys is through the roof. It's also why every scene in Moonraker had audiences in stitches. They knew they had a good thing going here.
I feel like there are a number of recurring characters in Roger's era, Jaws, Sheriff JW Pepper, Maud Adams to name a few.
(Maud technically played two roles, but again, like you said, the chemistry and the strength of the performance was too good to be a one and done I guess)
Jaws one of the best bond villians, you can't hate him at all, that character was brilliant in the movies they showed him, aswell as how they met everytime and how they "removed him" from the series,i'm happy he found love xD
I like Jaws very much. I wish he won 🏆always.
He even came back in a video game, Everything or Nothing.
@@BladeZero238He's featured in the original 007 GoldenEye video game too ..Aztec mission I think.
Rest in peace Richard Kiel and Roger Moore both of you will be sadly missed by millions of fans who are always there to support your talents
For me this the best Bond film. Had everything. Great production team, fantastic villain. Best Bond girl ever. Beautiful film.
GunnerGameReviewer22,have you any instagram account?Lets chat about this movie and hot and sexy Bond girl
@lee turton wat did boild do?
I'd disagree on the villian part tho, found Stromberg not really that great of one, but the henchman (Jaws) makes up for it
Best henchman goes to Oddjob, hands down - what was ANYONE thinking? - overall best film, as film, goes to From Russia With Love or Casino Royale. Best villain? Many nominees, but I'd still vote for Gert Frobe as Goldfinger. Best Bond Girl - yeah, I'd agree with Agent XXX, with honorable mentions to Maud Adams and Honor Blackman.
@UCZPBiv1oBLFe4qlB6KSU0jA- Pussy Galore was one of the few Bond girls to have an agenda of her own, instead of just being eye candy. Goldfinger had one the few plans that could actually work (short of destroying the entire world). The two of them were exceptions to the pattern of providing mere set dressing and just being wildly eccentric megalomaniacs.
Vesper Lynd and Le Chiffre were also superior in both these respects, and the acting was also a cut above, which was consistent with Craig's acting as Bond.
RIP to the both of them.
And Shane rimmer.
and the shark aswell
@Raymond Brereton and don’t forget he was also the voice of Scott Tracy in thunderbirds.
I love Jaws’ grin as he swims away “Joke’s on him. I’m still alive”
Roger Moore was so cool as Bond. Especially the early few. And naturally suave!
I actually like Spy Who Love Me and Moonraker a lot, because the villains had very interesting objectives regarding a better world, rather than just financial gain like most other villains.
Imagine Richard Kiel reading the script.
"And then I what?"
😂😂😂😂😂 Yup! You eat a shark before he eats you. You can do it!
I love shark's innocence of intending to fight with Jaws. Poor guy.

Shark 🦈: *About to bite*
Jaws: **UNO REVERSE CARD**
Just watched this movie last night for the first time. It's a classic bond movie with all the right elements. Felt the main villain was pretty weak though. I'd give it an 8/10
NeverSaySandwich1 I was not weak.
@@karlstromberg2377 Went out like a bitch old man
Apparantly everyone clapped when Jaws killed the shark.
nice!
Jaws vs Jaws!
Jaws (in german: "Der Beisser") one of the best henchman. 😂
" HOW DOES THAT GRAB YA!!!!!!! " #CLASSICLINE
Remember when "Bond" films were fun forms of escape?
Yep a very long time ago
And so punny!
Yes
Pepperidge Farm remembers. So did I.
The Spy Who Loved Me a campy Bond film done right.

THEE best James Bond and THEE greatest Bond villain.
Normally, when the audience is used to another actor playing a role - they resent him being replaced. But Roger was so different to Sean, and so right for the 70s, that it was a seamless transition.
Jaws has to be the most creative Bond villain ever. I wouldn’t have ever thought of a million foot tall metal mouthed weirdo to be a Bond villain.
My own teeth hurt when Jaws doesn't hold on to the magnet with his hands, ouches!

Rip Sir Roger Moore and Rip Richard Kiel. Jaws is my favorite James Bond villain. Thanks for posting this.
Remember watching this movie in 1977 on the Theater and the Colors and Definition were very good
Today it would be unthinkable to make a fight scene without music.
You’re wrong about that.

Classic Roger Moore at his best one of my favourite bond movies.
Michael Lawrence This is the Highest rated Roger Moore Bond film on IMDb and quite rightly so. This is THE Best Roger Moore Bond by Far!
@@cameronturk4388 Hi thats right when this film came out.The criticism he was getting before this film all stopped.
Michael Lawrence Barbara Bach in this has got to be one of the Hottest Bond Girls ever! Definitely one of my top 5 out of all the Bond movies.

Amazing! 1:34 Jaws vs. Jaws! (sorry, Spielberg 75!).
To be fair, this was a Tiger Shark, much smaller than 'Bruce' the Great White from Spielberg's 'Jaws'.
This is where Bond messed up, since keeping Jaws stuck to the magnet would have eventually killed Jaws from dehydration or drowning, while dropping Jaws into the shark tank was something Jaws was able to fight his way out of.
While Moore lacked the edge & physical adeptness of bond he captured the wits & delivery of witty liners perfectly.
Lol. I love how Jaws face gets squashed into the magnet, and the fact Bond was quite happy to literally try to feed him to a shark... 😎🤣
Ironically, Bond gives a straight answer at 2:02 - Stromberg ? Dead - no pun, no sarcasm :)
Roger moore smile😁😁😁😁😁😁 so funny fav bond
ROGER MOORE IS JAMES BOND OO7
IN
IAM FLEMING'S
THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
NOBODY DOES IT BETTER
I love everything about this movie..... It's the BIGGEST, It's the BEST, It's BOND & BEYOND.....
Look Roger Moore is giving a smirk look on his face to jaws
"Where's the chocolate I bought yesterday?"
"Dead. And so are we unless we get out of here fast."
Lol
Jaws was a great henchman and scary in this one. I'm sorry they turned him into a comic cuts figure in Moonraker
RIP Mr. Richard Kiel (Jaws) !
You was a great Actor 😔
How does that grab you had me in stiches 🤣 Roger Moore was always good at one liners.
One small elbow from Bond throws Jaws to the floor...but then the man wrestles and bites a shark to death.
I think it was his own momentum which made him fall over, the elbow just helped.
He did drop him with a kick to the plums just after that though.
You know Jaws is an iconic character is that years after his last flim appearance, he was included in a video game version of at the time a new James bond flim (GoldenEye) when he wasn't in the movie, plus the actor himself even came out in a Pepsi James Bond commercial as Jaws again during the same time.
I Love You Roger Moore James Bond!!!!🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋🌹💋
The first time Bond left the villian supposedly to die. Usually it's the other way around.
How does that grab you? Perfectly well for jaws.
Why? Why did they always have to destroy the Villain's super cool, state of the art, absolutely impressive headquarters?
Thank you!!
The ultimate 5'11 vs 6 foot meme.
Looks like. 5'11 wins.
Richard kiel was like 7 foot
So Rough n Tough Actions...... Still enjoying in 2021
0:38 The Earth shook when Jaws landed ...
Shark,:-There you are I am going to devour you
Wait !! What are doing ?
Are you biting me ?
This is impossible
Leave me alone
This is not fair
0:18 damn those Balls got it good
James Bond must've understood how David felt when he had confronted Goliath when he (James Bond) had met Mr. Jaws, who's over 7 feet tall with sharp teeth.
Bond wears a t shirt: I SURVIVED JAWS
Jaws wears a t shirt: I SURVIVED BOND
More importantly Richard Kiel has his villain character named jaws after the 1975 film which shares the same name
For some reason I remember this fight scene to be long
0:49
He forgot one thing, his teeth is magnetic. 🧲
"Jaws is very attractive."
I'm the only one who got your joke ☹️
OKAY I SEE YOU
Great movies 👍
0:41- 1:02 I believe Bond smiling and the how does that grab you line was not in the original script. That was Moore's input.
I remember watching this for the first time and when Jaws pulled back over the ledge I was like "What the fuck..." 👀 Also thought the same thing when he bit the shark.
Roger Moore’s apex!
Roger’s facial expression for falling Jaws into a trap is inimitable He is just good Comedian As someone said, he probably left him on a magnet and leave the rest to our imagination
LOVE YOU 007
Golden opportunity missed; should have called this one "Jaws vs. Jaws"
2:00 look at her abs 👀 😍
Not many James Bond villains who survive
If it was a crocodile or a gator JAWS couldn't have survived..

The freakin screen SHAKES as Jaws jumps down.
It's like grabbing a Mii
After Bond vs. Jaws, its Jaws vs. Jaws
0:18 OOOOH!!!! He aint having kids anytime soon lol
Good movie.
Just me, but I think this scene would have been more effective if all one could see was splashing and blood in the water. Then it goes still and Jaws emerges as the Victor.
Yup, the surprise factor that he managed to wreck the shark would have been a neat trick. As it is, you have no expectation to confound because you can see he’s winning.
First! Can’t wait for No Time To Die! ❤️
Can we get the Bond movies back on amazon prime video? My dad and I were just up to moonraker when they were taken off and I never like to leave a series unfinished 🙃

The way jaws just picked up James bond so big that guy
The spy who loved me was Roger moores best friend

Jaws vs Jaws!
James showing a bit of sadism here....
Who would win jaws or oddjob
Jaws
Both have a fetishism for smiling, a lot, so they'd probs settle things via a smile off. Mind you, if oddjob is smart he could in effect decapitate jaws in 1 swift motion. Flawless victory!
Jaws terrified me as a kid
Bond vs Jaws vs Jaws
This is impossible.
But as you watch , you believe it.
You’d know if Jaws grabbed you it’s over, thank god he had no speed whatsoever.
*Jaws vs Jaws*
Jaws vs Jaws ( the Shark movie)
Poor Shark
Why in the old bond movie always fight silently with his enemy
2:00 Dude, she's tied up and you're untying her?
