Her and Idina had this AMAZING Chemistry! WHO REMEMBERS THE BIT AT THE POOL TABLE!?! But Eden impressed me.

I am really excited for Tracie, knowing that she was a Renthead and now she gets to fulfill her dream for the second time. I thought she was pretty amazing in the movie, and all the live performances I've heard. That is a good point, though I would prefer it if they closed with the original cast, even knowing the state of Daphne's voice. It'd be like closing a chapter in their lives, as well. But I suppose there's still hope for EVERYONE reuniting for the '09 tour, not just Anthony and Adam.
Well according to a blog Tracie posted on myspace they're not even sure if it will be released right now. She said they originally thought it would be, but now they don't know. I really hope it is :\

while i agree that that'd be amazing if they were to come back, i think it's wonderful that tracie is able to play a role that she's dreamt about playing on broadway since she saw the show. same for eden, i think it's better to end the show with new people and new life. i like that they're giving new people the chance to relay Jonathan Larson's original message to new and old fans alike. but that's just my opinion.

i saw rent about 3 nights before it closed..and eden was playing maureen and when everyone sung as a group, she overpowered everyone. and truly proved that she was the best singer of the group...tracie was joanne that night though

Kaki Clements Fredi Walker played Joanne and Idina played Maureen in the original RENT cast. Tracie Thoms played Joanne to Idina's Maureen in the RENT film. Eden and Tracie were in the closing cast for RENT, the last performance of which was professionally recorded for sale.
"Idiana"? Anyway, how is she too good for the show that basically launched her career? She came back for RENT10, she was good enough for that. How is she better than the farewell tour?
So what, after Idina has played a role, should no one ever play it after her ? ;) They have a similar range and types (in terms of theater roles) so it makes sense that they would both portray some of the same characters. Besides, Eden is at the start of her Broadway career, while Idina not so much, so it's a bit of a moot point...
I love Idina and Eden and I think Eden and Tracie perform really well together. But I have to say I still like Idina just a little better.... Tracie is the best JoAnne though!!!!! :)
