There was a comment here about what resistor and mod I made to this unit... For some reason I don't see that comment now.... Weird...? Anyway, for those that want to see the conversation about modding the DnM here it is on M-Wiggler..... www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2945998#p2945998
I need one of these. I just bought a Q-bit Data Bender and a Schlappi 100 Grit. My music is heading in a certain direction. This module fits. Love that faceplate
Cool! Yeah, I made all those silly names and sayings in the video to keep the uninitiated people interested in watching it most of the way through. However, for people like me and you who enjoy using the critical listening skills meant to hear these sounds, it's a deep experience.. I like to play this video and not watch it. Just listen to it in the background.. Yeah you are right.. there are so many sounds in there! I get lost in this module for hours on end.. Time and space bend while playing this one... There is a new DelayNoMore3 coming out soon with three delay ICs chips in it.. It sounds very similar but it's got a bit more wiggle room and some fun stuff to think about with patching it...
With help from AndrewF on a MW thread I was able to add a resistor to mod the the Delay B knob to get more wiggle room (range) out of the knob before it goes to Ka'boom Town.. It's a great module.... Have fun with yours!
Beautiful demo, thanks for sharing! Where does the the starting ping sound come from? You don't have anything patched into the in? Also, what does the CV input in the middle address?
@@JAkoGreyshire when i turn the delay time knobs to certain positions, i can hear a high pitched tone, which i think is the pt2399 clock bleeding into the signal and causing heterodyning/aliasing. it only happens on longer delay times which are already noisy so it's kinda cool to have. hard to tell what it's supposed to sound like with these noisier modules lol
@@nutritionalyeast7978 Ah Okay... Yeah some kind of internal IC circuit bleed.... It's possible eh? IIRC, the schematic shows nothing connected to the clock pin on the IC itself, so if it was clock bleed it would probably be internal.... Whatever is going on with it, it's one of my favorite modules... Soon I'll probably build the newer DnM3...
Damn, look at you with your magpie panel! I gotta upgrade my numberwang to a magpie... I'd love to hear this through my PHmk3... and then through The Great Destroyer.. what parameter does the CV wiggle? edit: th-cam.com/video/7YYaMIC2tSU/w-d-xo.html MY GOD THAT IS DOPE
The CV input wiggles the Delay B Knob... The Delay B knob goes to crazy town real quick so a good CV source fed into it will need attenuation and possibly offset too, depending on what you are going for... AndrewF helped me with a mod (added resistor ) to make the Delay B knob track a bit wider and therefore get more wiggle room out of it..... I made two of these and the other one has the white Magpie panel with white knobs! : ) They sound slightly different because of the Vactrol but I'm going to have fun soon running them in series!! Mouhahahahahahahah!

Last minutes remind me a lot of the Monotron delay - that I have always loved.. Thanks for the demo!

This is a fucking great demo. Subtle and nuanced with a jackhammer of a module. Gotta go, off to see what other videos you've uploaded.
Thanks...
"Get out of the way, Pam." 😂
I actually have this demo on repeat. So many great sounds in there, so much helicopter in your drones!

This is amazing!
Just need a 5v regulator and my build will be finished. Looking forward to using it. Nice demo video.

I pinned a link to the mod I did for the person whose question went missing on this comment...
Thanks for the vid, just ordered a built one off of Reverb!
Brilliant. Thank you so much for this!
10:47 Was clearly a "Inhaled nitrus oxide at a football party" drone.
Beautiful demo, thanks for sharing!

Cool! :-)
i built one of these, it's supposed to have heaps of clock bleed due to lack of filtering right? or did i build it wrong. Either way its sick
I'm not sure what you are talking about. Can you could explain a bit more?
