Okay I’m obviously SUPER late, but did anyone notice that since his father doesn’t allow mirrors in the palace, AND he’s not allowed to leave the palace, he hasn’t been allowed to look at himself for who knows how long? That mean the only he has been able to judge how he looks is by people telling him. Obviously he cares what people think of him but he father most definitely holds power over Alden’s self esteem, soooooo…. TLDR: Alden hasn’t been able to look at himself in years and the only input he’s been able to get on his appearance is from a pompous prick who clearly thinks he’s ugly.
If I say yes to this character, I can no longer go back.
