Hi everyone! Today I'm unboxing Dollfie Dream Ranko Kanzaki (ver 2) that I brought home from Tokyo at the Dolpa 42 After Event! She cost 66,000yen, and she is also currently available for lottery purchase from Volks USA for $660 until Feb 10,2020! If you missed out on this beauty (and live in North America) be sure to enter the lottery to buy her!
I think I make the mistake of saying "dollars" instead of yen a few times. The Gothic Dress set retailed for ¥11,800 (back when it was released in 2014). Her first release didn't come with a school uniform - she was in a white dress set.

I have very tiny/skinny bones, it’s easy for an umbrella to be as big or bigger around than my wrist, but I have long bones, so, I have weird looking arms/hands.

They are Ikea Detolf cases. The corner unit was a custom built piece.

Protect the face, and just bend her so that she fits!
If the inside of your rucksack is dark then I would suggest you wrap the doll in a white pillowcase or towel.

I believe it’s one entry per address with Volks USA lottery rules. If you have a friend (or multiple friends and family) that’s willing to enter for you it can increase your odds - but be prepared in case you all win you will have to pay for them 0_o

So update! Didn’t win the lotto but i did nab her on Mandarake before her price became insane. She is even more cute in person! I was also able to have her balance her umbrella even without a stand.
I've just enter the lottery for her a day ago and if I do win I hope have the funds on time to purchase her.

Reimu was one of the first DDS bodies and was problematic - it was prone to cracking in some of the joints. Have you had any trouble with her?
How tall is the doll?
Roughly 55cm tall because she's the Dollfie Dream Sister body. The regular Dollfie Dream is around 60cm tall.
I wonder what the airport screening would think, when they scanned bags in and out.
