Many thanks! Do you also have the episodes with Cathleen Nesbitt, Nigel Davenport, Edward Hardwicke? I've been looking everywhere for these, for ages. Thank you so much.
I heard from someone working on the show that Tom had very little idea who PIers was when he was first introduced, and they had to reshoot the 'big finale'. Any truth to this rumour? :)
@@LadyMaelBethad yes, Tom even regrets giving JNT a hard time. I can’t remember my source but sure he mentioned it in his interview on the season 12 blu ray box set. It’s quite a moving interview- I was quite emotional after watching it. Didn’t realise Tom was a very insecure person
@@LadyMaelBethad I love Tom but sadly it's true. JNT and Tom were as bad as each other. Tom became quite difficult to work with during his later years in Doctor Who, particularly with directors, writers and actors - but he was very remorseful about his behaviour afterwards. Highly recommend watching the blu ray interview by Matthew Sweet I mentioned on blu ray and also reading Richard Marson's book Totally Tasteless - The Life of John Nathan Turner. Even if you you're not a fan of JNT - its one of the most interesting books I have ever read about Doctor Who. Difficult read at times but very sad also. I was lucky to spend some time with Tom a few years back. he is a lovely man - we spent quite a lot of time talking about our dogs.
Tom Baker is a remarkable actor & human being
This is just utterly delightful! What a tragedy it will be when Tom passes. A true legend and eccentric and there will never be anyone else like him.
Tom is a legend, finally got to meet him in 2000 at a convention event at the NEC. xx
'You haven't got God here have you' 🤣🤣🤣
He's a good lad.
I’m in love with Tom’s voice it’s amazing and he’s a cutiepie through and through
He was my favourite doctor.
In Liverpool we are so proud of him and everything he's done.
The best doctor who ever seven years
Apparently him and John Nathan Turner didn't get on when they were making the show but somehow became friends after he'd left
Best Dr ever ❤️ 👌
I had such a crush on him as Dr Who lol
Me fav dr who tom Baker when I grew up.
Oh to return to these halcyon days

Tom baker is my sixth favourite doctor who and my dads doctor
I wrote this This Is Your Life show.

I don't recall that. He did interrupt a fair bit. But no reshoots
Hey its Rasputin! lol
Why was Lara ward not invited and tom baker was in blackada
Because they were married and it would have been awkward. How do you know she wasn't invited anyway?
8:01 I thought it was James Cameron
They laughed at very little in those days
They weren't afraid to laugh, unlike these days.
When was this shown, please?
He was signing his autobiography so 1997 😊
@@MarkR06 No - he was signing his short story: The boy who kicked pigs - it was in 1999
While did he leave who it made him

Looks like Tom didn’t know who Nick Ryan was.
Lots missing - and wtf was Nathan-Turner doing there?
They became great friends after he left the show I believe - they both enjoyed their drink🤣
