Good for you! Back in my days, late 70's, thru the 80's, and into the early 90's Cayuga was a largemouth fishery if you wanted to win. Draw a line from Farleys on the east shore straight across the lake and everyone fished north of there for largemouth, including locking thru to the canal system. Smally's were only an occasional catch at a couple of the creek mouths or culvert outflows within that area. Our DEC guys were trying to teach us about good smallmouth caught by live bait fishermen down by Sheldrake, but we didn't have time or electronics to find them.
The jelly went crazy ! Been fishing cayuga for over 25 years ! Trust me it used to be alot better ! With alot more smallies ! Back in the 90's ! You guys are the best fisherman on the planet ! I'm still amazed on what went down !

There's gotta be a way to snatch two at a time. I realize when you have two on at the same time, sometimes they will eject each other and loose one and maybe both. I'm curious now buddy. I've never caught any brown heads. Now if you could get your plastic to fit and work well on a small circle hook, I bet you can get both in the boat. I'd damn sure have to be doing some serious testing on that brother. That would of put you over the top for sure.. Gotta find something like that to just crackem and get a killer advantage over the field. 😅😅 But as soon as the camera boys get an eye full that's the end of that secret. Oh well ! DC. Why don't you go to a heavier deal and tie on two baits. This way when you pull up on 15 fish you'll catch two before they scatter..
Heavier line in clear water is a deal breaker. The fish will not fool with it
