With Harrison Ford not being able to do this kind of Indy anymore, I feel that doing more adventures in the world of Gaming is a MUCH better alternative. This is so much fun and is up there with the best of the franchise
Having now finished the game myself, and as a massive Indy fan. I can say without a doubt it’s worth playing! I’d easily put the story up there with the best of the movies. Gameplay wise, I initially struggled to get into the swing of it, but after bludgeoning a Nazi with a plunger, the slapstick hilarity of it finally clicked and I was absolutely sold on the “melee first” combat, with guns only as a last resort. If we are just looking at story quality, I’d place Great circle about third, after Raiders (obviously), then Last Crusade, Great Circle, followed by Temple of Doom, Dial of Destiny and Crystal Skull. Just my own 2 cents.
When I was kid I always played the Lego Indiana jones games they were good but still thought it wasn’t enough but now that this masterpiece is out my life is filled with joy
@@stlawstlaw7585 Incredibly boring: Incorrect. I played 7 hours straight the day it came out because I was having so much fun, and only stopped because I had to work in the morning. Nonsensical story: The story is no more nonsensical than Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade. It's quite excellent so far, and perfectly captures the feel of those films. Cartoonish characters: Again, all of the characters in this have acted no differently than they do in the GOOD Indiana Jones movies. Bad Combat: I think you're just not good at it. Once you properly understand how to counter, block, and dodge left and right, it becomes second nature, and a lot of fun! Plus, all of the melee weapons are a blast to use. This game isn't about gun combat. Broken AI: Every single game I have played this year has had terrible AI. What's new? It certainly doesn't make it unplayable, or unenjoyable. The enemies are just a little dumb, kinda like how they are in the movies. Cringe voice acting: Not even close. Troy Baker is doing an excellent job capturing Harrison Ford's cadence, and overall performance as Indy. Also, the actor who voices Marcus sounds exactly like Denholm Elliott, which is uncanny. Everyone else has been perfectly fine, and has not stood out as being bad, or "cringe," whatsoever. Ludicrous action scenes: I don't even know what the fuck you are talking about with this one. Endless pointless cutscenes: I've been playing for 3 hours straight without a cutscene, but when they do appear they do a great job moving the story forward, and feel completely authentic with the style and tone of the movies. In conclusion, you are mostly talking out of your ass, and you should find something better to do with your time, because you are embarrassing yourself here.
After finsihing a good game you wish it was bit longer. Same feeling I am having after finishign this today. The game didnt feel grinding as I feel with some other game these days as I rush through to finish the game. But this one I did not even know when it ended! Such a good game afte ar long long time. Qualirty over quantity. This is what it is all about.
Not yet. I've been watching a Let's Play and she said she is going to stop because of the glitches. Can you post a website of when patches are issued. The link you provided does not appear to go there.
What is the best way to get most frame rates for 32gb 3070 . For medium and high settings and few low settings, I’m not getting more than 50-60fps with DLSS turned to quality!
I thought so too at first. But the game is really amazing. I actually didn't believe the depth there is and the alternate paths to explore objectives. And it never gets old to knock someone out with a guitar....
I'm a huge Indy fan (I married my wife to the theme tune and have a whip and Fedora) and the game is a great fan tribute, probably the best Indy game since fate of Atlantis! Voice acting is pretty good too without being too cheesy..
I really need to stop trying to 100% games. This one took a toll on me and towards the end I just wanted it to be over. Im surprised more people are okay with the pacing.
Imo game of the year so far, stalker was good but it become tiring being overweight all the time constantly dropping gear or running heavy this game is certainly a slower pace and much better all round game
Damn!!! That was fast, developers have an aweful time not to rest, soon people would be asking a Dlc or more content, and if there is not, the game will be abandone and maybe forgotten 😬
Game is unplayable for me. It crashes after 5 minutes on Xbox. I’ve been trying to play for 3 days and I’m still on the first level because of crashes. This is the only game that I’ve ever had issues with
I don’t know. It was fine until I got to the Vatican and then it won’t go more then 5 minutes without crashing. I’ve contacted Bethesda and Xbox support and they are both useless. I’ve tried everything and nothing works at all.
@@PioneerCoot Have you uninstalled, and reinstalled the game? That's the only advice I can think of to offer you. You might get lucky, and have that fix the issue.

I cannot get through this game . I fell asleep after the same boring combat and collecting stuff. Yes i love the films but dude come on just because irs true to them and looks amazing dont mean its fun. A lot of games on xbox are not fun apart from call of duty . The issue with indian jones is. Its trying to be different with boring combat thet makes 0 sense 1 punch man.😂 2nd the combat is the exact same and the missions are exact same. The side quests are painful all cut scenes. 4th the game doesnt really get any better with doing the same thing. Every time. I get it its a indy jones game. But dont mean it has to be dead boring and the exsct same thing every location wow what a let down considering selling my xbox if gamepass gets bad like this. Lucky enough i have black ops 6 and my ps5 pro to keep me going . But this is a must void if you like doing the same thing every time with unaspiring combat 😢 wow what a let down
The game is mediocre. Incredibly boring, nonsensical story, cartoonish characters, bad combat, broken ai, cringe voice acting, ludicrous action scenes and endless pointless cutscenes. But peasant masses like it for some reason (great marketing), so no one dares to tell the truth....
dude the AI is some of the worst in the industry. Its like dishonored without any of the immersive sim elements that make it good, its just sneak, bonk, sneak, bonk. Thats it.

Should have mentioned in the bottom right it shows how many uses a weapon has before breaking
Nice one :)
5:08 he mentioned it no?
@ninthshark9153 nope he talks about them only having limited uses but doesnt point out the meter in bottom right that keeps track of it
This game is fantastic and althoughninwas expecting it to be great, it's so much better than I'd hoped
Started this day I love the exploration
Pretty solid review. Thanks! 👍 I've waited for this kind of experience for some time!
Put some respect on indy name
For sure
So!!.......DO IT!

No spoilers, but its pretty darn good.

It's insane how many people are calling it woke slop. This is the best Indiana Jones thing since The Last Crusade!!
Except it's not. Incredibly boring, nonsensical story, cartoonish characters, bad combat, broken ai, cringe voice acting, ludicrous action scenes and endless pointless cutscenes.

We are gonna need another adventure with Indy then. More Indy in games!

ok
It pretty nice at first person

These developers should make a new Punisher game that would be awesome machinegames is perfect for making a Punisher game

So many cutscenes can't call this a game the first person perspective is horrendous in an action game.
I have been trying to play but getting bored. I'm sure it gets better.
Nah it dont i unstailed bro
this has the late Tony Todd? might check it out despite looking meh
Wow. Did we play the same game? Or are you going to give an honest review after the cheque clears?
How many snakes in the game ?
man ther game is freaking great i love it but i have this Failed To Allocate Video Memory On PC in sometime after playing and im just mad
I like the game, but the devs act like you know what to do. Very poor mechanics in some areas. Overall good game.
um picking up a bunch of different weapons that act the same is not "depth"
Can you play it in 3rd person? That’s all I need
Only certain small sections are
You only go in 3rd person when climbing and in cutscenes. Its a first person game
When I click on a Jor video I expect to hear Jor. That's happening less and less lately

At least the girl isnt quite as homely as the one in the last film. But ofcourse a modern game would have a female with short hair in the 1930s lol
Short hair was very fashionable in the 30s, particularly in Italy
this game was very boring to me
