- When I worked in Shetlands islands, Scotland, I was lying to my whole family and all of my friends for 3 months that I am not coming home to Maribor, Slovenia yet and misleading them, so they would believe me after some time. In the mean time I was planning how to surprise them and of course how to record it all on camera so I can share it with you. I gave them the best surprise they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Your grandfather reminds me so much of my own. He used to say the very "back from the dead" thing to me when I came to visit him. Brought back a lot of memories! No, actually I went to Shetland first and then to New Zealand. Now back in Slovenia editing a ton of videos I made in New Zealand :)

What do you mean? Only my grandfather gave me only a hand and that's because he couldn't stand anymore, everyone else shook my hand then gave ne a hug or a kiss :)
That was lovely. Difficult to explain but somehow not understanding Slovene (bar a few words; I'm very familiar with that part of Europe) conveyed the joy, surprise (and shock especially your mum)your family and friends experienced really well.

why would you fly Shetland to Heathrow ? .. surely Edinburgh or Glasgow or even Aberdeen has direct flight to Slovenia
Actually there aren't, I just checked. Also, flights from Slovenia are way more expensive than surrounding countries.
