    Thundercat relates to life so clearly. I really appreciate him, as an artist. I was introduced to his music at the time "Oh Sheit It's X" came out (2013). Could tell he grew up with crate digger culture, as his ears are so well tuned.
    I really think he could be a great cultural ambassador, like Frank Zappa.

    I'd love to chill with Thundercat and just listen to records by Ambrosia, Orleans, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Little River Band, Christopher Cross, Firefall, Steely Dan, Toto, and Air Supply! No irony! I also legit listened to all these artists growing up and love all these artists and their songs :)

    @THUNDERCATMUSIC I felt the way you did with Zappa with "Show you the way" I had heard the song a million times, then really studied the lyrics and saw you made an accompanying beautifully positive messaged video. It spoke to me in my life and what I'm currently going through and I can't thank you enough for the message of living and finding out "on the edge of dark, there's the brightest light, a burning light on the edge of dark, where no one can tell their world's apart, we'll live with dark, just take the ride". This was one of the best songs and music videos ever made, it's a top ten of all time for me now, thank You THUNDERCAT, band mates, Michael McDonald, And Kenny Loggins for making such an incredibly positive messaged song that I'm sure has impacted many lives in times of need.

      That's cool. imo I think he sounds best on od section Kendrick ep and especially TPAB (my favorite Kendrick album). Overall I don't think he'll ever sound bad, he just sound better on some songs over others...

      Iuno bout that. OD Kendrick definitely wasn't as great of a sing writer as he is now. Now he easily strings together deep messages across songs easily.

    • @thebizness5596
      @thebizness5596 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nah, Kendrick has always been a great songwriter, of course its got better but I think its effortless for him to string them together anyway. I would love to see what other songs he has in his vault that are unreleased.
