YAMAHA YZF R6 Engine Rebuild Crank Swop

Documenting the rebuild of a 2009 R6 engine after it spun a con rod big end bearing. The crank and con rod were both damaged and had to be scrapped. A replacement set of matched crank and con rods were installed and the pistons got swopped over.
The engine and bike arrived partly stripped down and had to be checked and verified before assembly. It was a low mileage engine otherwise in very good condition. No signs of oil starvation or overheating. Looks like it was a one-off bearing failure.
This is not intended as a ‘how to’ video. It is a time lapsed recording of the building process for possible later reference.
