All the friendships that have been built throughout this history are just beautiful! Se-ri and Hyeok became my favorite fictional couple! The loving way they look at each other, the little displays of affection, the way they chose not to argue about unnecessary or irrelevant things... But most of all, the way they want each other to be happy, healthy and safe, even if it means not being able to be together in a romantic way. Absolutely beautiful! 😫❤

I loved that reference to "Parasite," so funny! "...he came out of the basement and went into North Korea." and then the quiet "we stan" moments later.
@@caricakes It used to be top of the list bc of how much I liked the way the story developed, it was original, romantic and funny and the characters were all great and it'd been a while since I found a story that checked off so many boxes for me. But CLOY? I started watching it with very low expectations but it's just a whole other leveeel. I really really liked it so much, the concept of being stuck in a country that's at war with the one you're from, and how dangerous that is but also how lighthearted they managed to write the plot despite all that, and every character you just LOVED!! The captain's crew, the village women, even the failed love interests you end up rooting for. It's just such a wholesome story I cried all over again the second time I watched IT a few weeks ago and now again with you 😂 What a lovely video Cari I enjoyed it so much!! 💓
I like both of them for different reasons. Crash Landing had much more depth and the plot seemed much more authentic to me. Descendants has more action. Unfortunately I watched Crash Landing first 😂
I watched CLOY for the first time in Dec 2019- Feb. 2020, and several times since, to be honest. And since then, followed anxiously and hopefully for any news of their budding real life romance. CLOY is my new #1 now, behind Goblin and DTS. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your reaction, Cari!
Girl, your reactions are priceless! But also, that's probably how I looked too when I watched CLOY. That was my first K-drama and my first time to ever dabble into the K-world, and I must say even though it was cringe-y, it was also sweet and touching and "heart fluttering" lol. And it also opened the gates to everything K-related for me, and now going deeper and deeper into this black hole and i don't think i can ever come out. Lololol. No regrets though! :))
Knowing they are together in real life, makes the ending bearable. Like they were “reunited”. Honestly, how could they not fall in love? Ugh, I want to watch it again, for the fourth time. I don’t know if I’ve ever watched an American show that many times. It’s so good!!
this is by far one of the best kdramas i've ever watched, it's just a masterpiece, and the boy (can't remember his name now) who was obsessed with kdramas and no one around him understood his references made me feel so represented, i'll never get over it
I LOVED Crash landing on you. It marks all the boxes of kdramas clishes amazingly well and the side charecters (the boys and the ladies of the village) are a 10/10 ❤️
My husband NEVER watch kdramas until CLOY showed up. He just happen to pass by the living room while I was watching an episode then decided to join me. He was more invested than me; he watched the series from episode 1, bought the physical soundtrack and convinced my mother in law to watch it too. He applauded the writers of this drama
i really hope you're watching the short clips at the very end of each episode bc they add sooooo so much to the story. after the slow motions and ads finish you have to stay to watch them!!
It‘s so funny seeing you comment the drama. It reminded me of myself. I live in Switzerland and it was fun seeing a K-Drama that had some scenes shot in Switzerland. Some scenes were even shot in my hometown of Zurich.
Omg CLOY was my first K-Drama ever and it totally damaged me for every following one I‘ll watch. It was soooooo good and I was laughing, swooning and crying so much throughout the series 😭 And all the characters were so great! The chemistry between both pairings, the dynamic with his squad, her friendship with the village‘s wives etc. I wish I could watch it for the first time again, that was an experience 🤣
Literally my exact reactions watching this drama lol me yelling “They better not end the ep this way!” I cried again with you during the same parts 😂 This was so great haha
@@caricakes "My mister" is the best drama ever. (I thought it was a "dirty old man affair seedy thing" just from the title) I only watched it because one of its songs crept on to one of my playlists, and it was very catchy. Before halfway through the first episode I was hooked. I don't know if you speak Korean, but I wish I had listened to the subtitled songs from it before I watched the series. Some of them will break your heart. I rewatched about 5 times and checked out "my Mister" blogs before I "found my comfort". It is a masterpiece.
As a Swiss German, him having "Swiss German" conversations will forever crack me up😂 it was totally unexpected, shocking, hilarious, cute and super weird at the same time. I love it🙃
As a German I had to replay that part a few times to understand what he said without the subtitles, I‘m always amazed that Swiss German is so different from high German.
Also did you see the after credits mini ad on where her doctor literally says "instead of coming here to go to Exit, why don't you go enjoy the mountains first, it might cure your depression..."

Also, Stranger season 1 and Itaewon Class if you down on thriller and mind games. For the best comedy, Hotel Waikiki. Another good one, probably the best recently, Hospital playlist from the writer of Reply series. Found your video after finishing CLOY yesterday. It was so much fun to “rewatch” it with you. I totally loved everything about the series. The boys and the ajumma were wonderful. The chemistry between the two leads on screen was palpable. It’s no wonder they have ended up together IRL. That makes the show even more enjoyable. Yes, the ending was the perfect “happy ending” we Americans want, but it was believable. I choose to think that once his parents are gone, he will leave NK for her in SK. This was my second K-drama, “Mr. Sunshine” was the first. It, too, was fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
The other day I interrupted your video, because after you watched the second episode I decided to see this series too. And that's what I've been doing for the last 2/3 days. It's the first Korean series I see and it's fantastic!!! it made me laugh and cry like nothing else lately. Such an innocent comedy and a romanticism to the extremes of the improbable! If the episodes didn't last so long I'd already be watching it again, but I "need" to study for university...... I'll watch it sooner or later. Gorgeous. I'm happy with my choice to see it. Thanks for your video🥺❤️

Thank you for the whole cover of the drama review. Your narrations helped me get a good grasp of the storyline and I felt the exact same emotions as you did. You deserve my thumbs-up and subscription.
With 12 seconds left of an almost 39 minutes video, Cari comes in with “if you haven’t seen CLOY, well this video ruined everything didn’t it?” That is the content I subscribe for!
Not gonna lie, this drama killed me emotionally. It was so freaking scary and sad and that the other guy died was soooo bad. Man. But it was one of the best, if not the best drama, that I saw last year.
This was the video I never knew I absolutely needed until now. 😂 I adored Crash Landing On You, it has forever changed how I view TV romances now 😂 and The Boys™ are THE BEST, right? Thank you for a brilliant and hilarious video.

I don't watch kdramas as much as I used to, but CLOY did bring out my past kdrama fangirl-ness. Thank you for the recap! Also, had to hallway bribe my friend to watch it (also a former kdrama binger, and now a casual watcher), for me to squeal to at least someone about it. She returned to her binger days for a couple of days. The creators of cloy really managed to capture the emotions of the viewers. Suddenly another friend of my had watched it, without me knowing (not a kdrama veteran), and she was so happy to have found cloy due to the lack of vulgarity and it being very watchable (plot, chemistry, humor, drama, etc.)
I’m a bit late to this, but I’m so glad your reintroduction to kdramas was CLOY! And I love that you love My Love From Another Star, it’s absolutely one of my favorite kdramas along with CLOY, and it makes complete sense why you like it, they were both written by the same person! :)

Ahh what I’d give to rewatch this again for the first time.
i know the feeling hahhhaa
Cloy is the best kdrama I’ve ever watched 😩
When they said goodbye at the border, I cried SO HARD! The best drama ever!! I love it so much!!
Hahaha I love captain ri’s crew as well. The one that really got me to watch crash landing on you was pyo chisoo. he’s hilarious 😂
YES! i want a spin off drama of his time as captain hahaha
i love this vid so so much!! crash landing on you is the only k-drama i’ve seen and i loved soo much- this was such a funny commentary and totally reminded me of my thought process haha
I didn't expect that I'll finish watching this video because it's 38 mins long but your reactions was so funny! I miss the squad of Captain Ri 💖 they're my favorite in this show haha
bahahah i miss them too :')
This was my first ever K-Drama! I loved the story so much. When he said “piano” to that tomato plant 🥺🍅
this video was hilarious i laughed out loud so many times ajhfjsjf when cloy came out i was living with my aunt and she had temporarily moved their tv to on top of the dining table so i'd binge watch from there and it was so funny bc they were exactly like kurt saying "oh no we don't wanna watch that" but then a few days in i'd turn around and they'd be standing by the kitchen looking at the tv lmao
bahahhahaa EXACTLY! no one can resist!
The fastest 40 minutes of my life! Cari, this was so fun to watch ❤️
Cari: a married woman
Also Cari: can't watch two people kiss without cringing
😂
🙈🙈🙈
The way you react to things is so me and it's so refreshing to see on TH-cam. Everyone seems to have a template reaction to things in that platform.
Watched this last year and I thought I was all cried out, but even watching snippets from this video had me bawling 😭
OMG!! Legit I am never ever watching another K Drama without you again. This made my whole day! Great video 🥲
hhahhahhhhaa
I'm sorry I cackled when kurt suddenly said I love my wife 🤣🤣 like it had no relation to the timing of the video hahahaha
lol he realized he was teasing me on camera so he had to cover it up hahaha
That’s the energy from Kurt you were looking for Cari
I swear this was my favorite video you’ve made in ages! Lol. You MUST make this a series!!! This was great! Watching you watch that was the best!!!!
I'm so happy with this video cari, i was also really addicted to this drama and watched in 3 days lol love from brazil !!
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the whole cover of the drama review. Your narrations helped me get a good grasp of the storyline and I felt the exact same emotions as you did. You deserve my thumbs-up and subscription.
when Cari said “This energy....Kurt, where’s it ? got me like 🤣🤣🤣
This is EVERYTHING!!! This is me while watching ANY drama!!!! This will go down in my top 10 of EVER!
😂😭🙏
With 12 seconds left of an almost 39 minutes video, Cari comes in with “if you haven’t seen CLOY, well this video ruined everything didn’t it?” That is the content I subscribe for!
Lmfao got to put a disclaimer in somewhere 😂😂😂
I was crying along with you bahaha. Doesn’t take much for me to get back in the feels of this drama 😂😭
Not gonna lie, this drama killed me emotionally. It was so freaking scary and sad and that the other guy died was soooo bad. Man. But it was one of the best, if not the best drama, that I saw last year.
I cried again when you reached the part of con man's tragic end huhu this was fun, cari!!! mooooooore lol
This is the cutest Cari that I have ever seen 😂 The reactions!! I love it 💕
PLS do this with “it’s okay not to be okay”
This was so good. I already watched it yet here I am crying again 😂😂 loved it
This is like the bestest kdrama ever! I have watched it 10 times alreadyy
seeing you react this drama has just remembered me how much i loved it
such a good one :')
OMG I was obsessed. It was so good cried my eyes out multiple times
it hit you in ALL the feels!
Watching you watch a K-drama is like two dramas for the price of one. 😊😊😊
This was the video I never knew I absolutely needed until now. 😂 I adored Crash Landing On You, it has forever changed how I view TV romances now 😂 and The Boys™ are THE BEST, right? Thank you for a brilliant and hilarious video.
Funnily, I've missed like months of Cari's vids so now I'm binging them, while also having JUST binged Crash Landing on You and so this is giving me a chance to relive it and I'm so happy rn!! XD
Same!! This one was so good i almost want to return to my drama fan days hahha
Oh my I almost forgot how good the love story of con man and russia girl was!! 💖🥺
right?! cant believe it ended how it ended...
@@caricakes same! It caught me off guard! 😭 because when Cap. Ri or Seri gets into accidents, they recover. That's why I thought he would too 💔
I’m a bit late to this, but I’m so glad your reintroduction to kdramas was CLOY! And I love that you love My Love From Another Star, it’s absolutely one of my favorite kdramas along with CLOY, and it makes complete sense why you like it, they were both written by the same person! :)
This drama changed my life. So yeah, I liked it. Only Kdrama I've ever seen, and really the only one I ever plan to see. But yeah...does a number to you.
haha your commentary is the best! so funny how you describe everyones thoughts while watching this kdrama 😂 have to finish it now too
bahaha there were so many times that i just sat there speechless
I adored the entire cast!! Such great friendships!! I totally binged it, rewatch episodes often!! You absolutely must watch Secret Garden, the cheese is sooooo good!!
okay, but why do I cry so much AGAIN like I'm watching it with you for the first time :'(
I felt all your feels watching you feel them haha. Such a good kdrama - apparently they're a couple in real life now. Love wins :)
truly :''')
One of the cutest reaction vids I've seen. Not over the top. 'Tis just like watching it with a close friend while doing every things (facemask, eating), and seeing them gush...
Like the editing, too. And the hubby's cameo. 😂
I feel u guurl, I've been there and felt that 😌 I guess I haven't enjoyed a kdrama in so many years until I stumbled upon CLON, definitely no regrets..
Watching you watch CLOY makes me want to rewatch it all over again!! It's seriously my fav series of all times. I love the boys and I love them. And I love everything about it.
I really wasn’t expecting it to be SO GOOD
