Those jars were meant as curses on the people who were in them. The thorned branches indicate that the witch wanted to inflict pain amongst those people. The worst part about it is that you opened them when looking down into the jar. All of that energy is focused on where it came at you first, that's why the device is going off on your face. Corey was smart to listen to his gut and leave. That's crazy bad juju my friend. The screaming to me personally sounds like all of the spirits in that house are scared of the evil entity that resides there. Also I saw a big shadow behind the table when the light turned on. What was in the jar is called a poppet. In the old days they were often stuffed in chimneys. It's a folk practice and they are usually used for anything found under the sun including protection to serve as a body double to direct the malicious intentions of the spirit or entity away from the person and to the poppet instead. Poppets were also found in jars or similar objects when stuffed into chimneys to protect them from the flames in the fireplace and to also serve in a spiritual manner as well to be a barrier between the spirit or entity and the poppet. Many folk traditions deploy them and they can also be found in Wicca because Wicca draws on some folk practices, of which, I am a folk practitioner and can speak on the matter.
The pentagram is a symbol of protection, the elements, the human body, and also the symbol of infinite in many Kaballistic (i.e. Christian, Jewish, and Islamic mystic traditions), Pagan, and Wicca circles. The orientation of the pentagram has no bearing due to the fact it was more than likely dropped into the jar. And therefore the direction it's facing and it's placement is unreliable information to go by.
As stated before, blessing and bane grow on the same stalk. Thorns are more commonly used for protection rather than to inflict pain, and what I'm seeing here, is more than likely a mixture between England Cunning and Wicca. Being implemented in the same way as a rose or bramble would deploy them. Sure, they may cause pain to the spirit or entity trying to attack the poppet seeing as the poppet is there to direct attention to it and away from the person, but the pain only happens if the spirit or entity does so. This insures that the spirit or entity never becomes successful in its endeavors and the poppet can continue to do what it was designed to do.
[Note: Folk Christians use two iron nails, which are similar to thorns, to create a cross using red thread by tying them together. For Folk Christians, though red thread is found throughout 99% of folk traditions regardless of spiritual background, it represents the blood of Jesus. However, red in general within folk traditions is representative of the blood of life, vitality, energy, and etc. The iron itself is a blanket protection. And the nails are shaped like spikes to serve defense. The color white can also be used as a substitute of other colors if the needed color is not currently on hand or otherwise cannot be found at the time.]
The thread is there to, yes, bind. But it's not in the sense as you might expect. In this sense it means to bind life, vitality, and purpose to the poppet. In other words, the word bind here, means to give rather than to restrict. So, for clarification, this means that life, vitality, and purpose are being given to the poppet and to serve in the capacity for which it was created.
I would be more concerned for the person who created the poppets, or their family if the person is no longer living, than I would be for the person/people who opened the jars. The whole thing is designed with the intention to play as a body double. It makes the malicious spirit or entity always think they have the person they were attacking are at all times within reach when they are actually attacking nothing more than a simple doll that doesn't harm anyone.

Eltons problem is he denies his gut.. he refuses to listen to his gut and what it screams at him.. if he did research he would see thst there are other ways that aren't messing with evil, that he can do to try and get what he wants.. but I think his ego is getting the better of him. You can see in his bodily expressions that when they change drastically that is his gut telling him to stop but he tried to hide it and then he feels like he has to do these things knowing it's bad

For those spell jars, the only insight that I can really give is "bane and blessing grow on the same stalk". This is just like how we think that a rose is beautiful to look at, but they can also hurt us if we decided to try and pick them and aren't mindful of the thorns.
Without knowing the intention of the witch that made those jars we truely don't know what they were intended for. They could have been for protection, like if maybe those specific people were people that the bishop often brought into their room and the protection was for them while they were in that room. Or they could be something more baneful, like binding spells or a hex. A fireplace is a perfect place to hide anything like that. The jar is just a fireproof place to keep the spell satchet, and who thinks to put their hand in a fireplace and feel what is inside of it.

When asking the questions, they do wait between questions. They cut out that part while asking, and in the playback the device itself cuts out anything that isn't picked up in the moment of silence. So when it sounds like they're asking back to back, nothing is caught in between the questions.

Elizabeth communicating with you guys was so sad….because she was strangled, her voice is harsh and raspy. Her screaming is probably because she’s reliving her screams while she was being strangled and she’s trying to convey how it felt. Her death was traumatic and so that trauma is going to surface when she’s communicating.
Those screams gave me chills through my whole spine. The screaming sounds more like the demon there is trying to keep the spirits from communicating with you guys. 🤯
Elton opens the jars, and someone in hell just gets flung up to heaven. That's all those jars made me think of. They're just binding some soul or souls in hell when they're not supposed to be there.

Maybe the binding spell jar had a spirit held inside of itself, and the reason for putting it in the fireplace was because it had the most dense amount of evil which in turn would keep the negative spirit in the jar at bay. But when it was opened in the attic, there wasn’t enough ‘evil’ to keep it at bay anymore so when opened, IT went to Elton and wrapped itself around Elton as a new vessel of sorts. And maybe the spirit wasn’t a spirit in the first place. Maybe it was first a place of storing past ill intentions that were so horrific that over time grew itself into a demonic entity because of the thoughts and sayings of visitors to the site. So the reason for there being very little in the jar was because the intention was “smaller” than guessed BUT over time, others ill thoughts and stories brought more gruesome intentions to the jar which made it grow into a demonic spirit that WOULDNT affect the Inn, but affect the person who opened the said jars. The jars could be from a mother hating her baby because it was from her past affair or from a normal visitor- but whatever it was is now with Elton….

So during the EVP around 56:45 with all the screaming, when you ask “can you tell us what’s in the jars?” It sounds like it screams “OPEN IT” . Might just be me- but I don’t typically hear things but that I heard

Those jars might have been binding spell jars to attempt to trap entities and contain them so that they affect people less than they had. They usually have rose thorns, and twine to "bind" with, sometimes salt or crystals, but they could have also been curse protection jars since they are similar with both the intent to protect a place. If they were the first thing, it makes sense with how violent the entities and spirits seemed. If it was the second, it was to attempt to remove a curse on the land or building. Both use similar items so it is hard to tell, but I lean towards the former due to the dolls.
If it was TO hex or curse a place, those are more obvious to spot; they usually have some disgusting things (Urine or worse), maybe some nails or rose thorns, usually chili peppers, etcetera. For a person you would likely find hair added to the aforementioned hex/curse (Hair or nail clippings of the intended to be hexed/cursed). These never use blood, as you would be hexing and cursing YOURSELF; never seen Witchcraft use blood, those are more Cult or movie things.

I think Elton definitely has an attachment! Not sure if he is actually possessed, but something is attached to him.... He plays too much with stuff he doesn't respect or know anything about. This is not a game, nor is it funny. They can ghost hunt and get activity just fine without messing around with demons! Considering where these jars were placed and the fact the dolls were bound with string and placed in the jar with thorny branches (which depending on the type technically could be used for protection, but given the context I'm doubtful), I'd say they're probably hex jars. Probably an attempt to tie those people to whatever is in that room so it haunts them. Be careful opening things like that in the future because hex jars/witches jars etc can be filled with biohazardous materials like blood and piss, along with rusty nails/needles.

As a practicing witch myself, they seem like a form of a binding spell. Thinking about the location they were in, I think they were there to bind some form of negative/ evil energy to those people the poppets represent. Binding spells can be used for many things. Most of us, myself included, use them as a form of protection, but you can utalise a binding spell for negative purposes, because the intenton behind the spell is to bind something or someone to another object or person. Also a better term for the doll like figures would be 'poppet.' Voodou is a religion rooted from Africa. To associate that religion with something that has no connection to the religion, adds to the stigma of Voodou, adding to the fearmoungering around alternative religions. To some, just ike the terms 'black magick' it can also come across racist as the practices of african slaves, who weaved their religion in with the religion of the slave owners, were demonised for those practices, often being referred to as 'black magick' when it wasn't. I did however notice that when recording the EVP session, the footsteps recorded were the camera mans. As he pans round to hear the sensor going off. If you watch at 26:53 you can hear. It matches up to whats captured in the EVP along with the "one step closer"
The thing about spelljars is that nobody can ever know what kind of spell it is beside the person who actually did /made it.
Binding spell, protection spell etc... every one will use diff items according to what they feel is right and in the end it is all about the intentions the person had when making this jar. In the future if you decide to open one (it's better you don't lol) or would accidentally break one, bless it and bury or burn the items that were in it.

The jars are magical bindings. You have seen the craft am sure. Well without going into to much detail. It is to stop someone from doing harm to themselves or others, through the use of magic. They binded that person and sealed them in. They used the ancient ram Inn. As a cross roads.... to do with the ley lines. You basically broke the bind on this person.

Those jars are absolutely binding spells.
Those people represented by effigies in the jars must have done bad things to others or themselves. Whoever did the spell wanted to stop them from inflicting pain on people, so they were essentially meant to protect everyone else from the people represented in the jars.
Elton opening the jars released the spell, therefore unbinding those individuals and they are now free to continue to cause harm on others.
