It's nice to see a college focusing on manga and illustration making because in Malaysia it's usually more focused on animation.Maybe we can see more mangaka coming from Malaysia in the manga industry in the future~

This is definitely my dream school; I want to be a mangaka artist, and I THINK i have a decent enough art, but I don't think I have the funds or money to get into this college within the two years that I have, considering everything it offers 😭 Hoping the college will produce many local talents!! It's a huge step for the illustration industry here that's for sure.

I'd recommend you just learn on TH-cam ( MANY artists are on here be it Professionals and amateurs( some amateurs are better at teaching than most pros, imho)) and continuing working whatever your main job is. Art colleges are infamous for being very pricey( 50k+). So if you have the funds, then yeah, its worth the investment.

Now, I finally got to live my dream to be manga artist! I will study to the best as I can and get it to the school one day! Just one more year, wish me luck, it have been my dream since childhood, can’t wait for it to be real!
Also i would love too if you give some detail about the course there, the fees and so on because i am really interested but at same time worry about the money. I don’t want to burdened my family.

@@Aeybiseediy I actually kinda forgot how much per semester, but overall it costs RM 68,000 for 2 years study. Registration fee costs RM 500++, they just open this year (2022) and PTPTN can be given to institutes who has open for 3 years (2024 counted this year 2022) after graduate they will send you to wether Kyoto or Okinawa but its your own cost to become mangaka assistant.

一直都很喜欢画画，自学一段时间了无奈一直碰壁，基本上从小不论是学校或家里长辈都不看好我学画画这回事，现在刚毕业想着上网找些大佬课程学一学，能看到有专业的来马来西亚开学院很高兴•ᴗ•但又担心有点贵
基本上价钱都会偏高， 还有很多隐藏费用
如果他们愿意无私付出把技术传授，再贵也是值得的。年青有本钱可以再来过，岁月流逝才是浪费

Love this Kaori-san. Should had set up the institution looong time ago as there's a huge manga and anime fanbase in Malaysia like the rest of the world. I had grew up watching multitude of animes and tokusatsu during the 80s, reading a lot of translated mangas and fyi most of those original 80/90s animes minus some of the US versions were actually dubbed into Bahasa Melayu. Besides, i also use to had those anime-derived action figures and toys, played countless hours of video games during childhood just to relive that moment 😁. Well, Should opportunity knocks i would have love to learn manga arts and animation techniques at the college 😄. Thnx again for the video, see ya'!

Then join an illustration course if you prefer drawing ONE picture. Trust your gut instinct. Drawing manga is basically drawing comic books. To each their own.
