I've been trying to guide you gently thru the main quest, but I'm going to spoil this for you. Stop reading now if you want to explore this for yourself later. BTW, the smaller dungeons setting doesn't affect this or other main quest dungeons, only the random ones.
Ok, so there are two Lysandus Tombs. The one in Daggerfall is fake. That casket is empty. The one you're exploring is the secret real one, and Lysandus body is actually there. That hellscape room was the place you were supposed to find. There was a lever nearby to open the pillar you clipped thru.
To calm Lysandus, you need the Dust of Restful Death. Not sure if you just never got it, or what, but a cut scene should have played when you clicked the casket.

It wasn't a spoiler, don't worry! One of the people who guided me to that tomb to start with already mentioned the one in Daggerfall is fake, so it's all good!
As for the Dust of Restful Death, I don't think I got it at all... I know that I was guided to Direnni Castle (sorry if I spelled that incorrect) and she told me to come back when I was more powerful. So, maybe it's time I actually go visit and see if they'll give it to me.
I don't mind being guided through the main quest, while I do enjoy the experience of seeing it myself, I also want to make sure everyone is having an enjoyable experience! So, if going there is the location that I can get the Dust, lmk! If not, then I truly have no idea where to go...

@@YourAverageBo iirc, Direnni gives you the dust. She should have sent you a message after 30 days, so not sure what happened there.

@@randocasshatian5677 She did send me a message, I remember! But when I went to go visit her, she told me simply: "You're not strong enough, please return later." and left it at that. I'm pretty sure it's the episode that has her cat as the thumbnail if you wanted to go back and take a second look. I pushed it aside because I continued to get quests from the other provinces, but I'll be sure to head back there next episode and continue where we left off.
Assuming I haven't waited too long, that is. I swear it's only a matter of time before the emperor shows up disappointed...

@@YourAverageBo I went back and watched the old episodes, then I checked uesp. Uesp says Medora Direnni won't give you her quest until you're lvl 8. It also says that even though your journal gives you a time limit, the time limit isn't enforced. So, yeah, it looks like you do need to go back to Ditenni. Sorry I steered you in the wrong direction.

@@randocasshatian5677 No need to apologize! You're completely okay! We were both confused and Daggerfall is an old game that doesn't usually give -too- clear of directions! I'll be sure to head there next episode and get all that stuff sorted so we can continue our quest!
