I FOUND IT!!! I’ve been craving this song for years. I remembered it from my childhood!
I love this song, but the video doesn't match the video at all and it's also kinda hard to understand what she is implying
I agree. The video felt like it was all over the place. One minute she's in a dress, has makeup on, is in a clean environment, the next she's in a dirty battlefield and is dancing with a group of different people. Didn't really make sense to me, the song was good though.

I love this song but she needs to fire her stylist and choreographer...that red dress is horrible...and it looks like they found the dancers at the gym doing a step class...this video should be redone, and DONE to the quality of this song.

The dress would look alright if she put a belt with it, but those shoes are shoes for a pantsuit, not a dress. On top of that, she needs a bit more volume in her hair. It looks really flat and icky.

Why is it here in the states... we get a ton of the mainstream pop/dance artists, but not alot of the better ones like Kristina Maria in our radio rotation???
its because the us doesnt play canadian music. im pretty sure theres laws to keep them as an "independant nation". canada has the same thing but way less, only 1/3 songs have to be canadian
Our Lady Peace, Avril Lavigne, Serena Ryder, carly Rae Jepsen & Theory of A Deadman are all canadian artist. All of them get regular mainstream radio play. So I don't think being a canadian artist has anything to do with it.

Here's a fun story about this video. The battlefield scenes were shot at a Paintball arena, and Ms. Maria here was trying to convince the staff to give her free rounds of paintball, because she's "Kristina Maria", I was thinking to myself, "am I supposed to know who you are? I never knew you existed until I found out you were shooting a music video here." The arrogance of some people...Her music just blends in with the rest of nonsense the radios play these days. But that's my honest opinion.

You're right..it would have looked different with RCMP uniforms or something but that isn't really as relateble as these uniforms..these ones are more 'mainstream' i guess. movies, on tv..etc. Still looks good tho.
I think the video is saying that the guy she loves is loosing the battle against alcoholism and she is going to fight to win him back and push the booze out of his life. "move through his veins" suggests take all the alcohol out of his veins. She's going to "get to his head" and knock some sense into him.

There are consistencies to army and marine uniforms but also a lot of inconsistencies
Perhaps they went with American uniforms because temperate-zone CADPAT is far from subtle in its color. The American one is likely more what people think of from TV/Movies, as well; perhaps they were going for that 'instant recognition' sort of thing.

I don`t think many got the video, my interpretation of it as well the song is The need to fight rather than runaway when things get tough in a relationship which can be easier said than done, He is a alcoholic and at 1st she is a coward and runs away even though she told herself to fight, she had to train herself to get the balls to deal with the situation rather than runaway from it, thus the pep talk to herself in the mirror and the soldier parts are her way of saying she can do it just gotta take full control of the situation and move like a soldier , eventually she finds the strength to deal with the situation head on thus slapping the alcohol from his hands and making him stay the night where she can break through to him, talk and keep his mind from wanting to drink the issues away in between are memories of when it was good which is what she is fighting to get back and eventually does.
