Brillant artist, my auntie taught him at Chelsea college of Arts whilst he was studying on an MA. His work is also having a great influence on my painting. Wish I could meet the guy!
Wow, looking at his work you see that he is an obvious genius and perhaps the greatest now living painter. Then I see that many of the people here are denying his talent which makes me wonder if he's even better and more important of a painter than I first figured.
I think the poster paintings can work on their own because they are informative. I did not realize they were that large when I first saw them on some website ( I can't remember which one) then again all together in a book. They are full of colour and bursting within themselves (their picture frame). It looked like it would have been a fantastic show to see. All the best.
@zeus2urgod wow, big money then......He has a style a good style its not a blow you away style but it does the trick in its own weird way. Him and Ofili are on a high plane as modern living artists.
@RichardCorral I don't think there's enough evidence, verbal or otherwise, for this conclusion. To me, he seems the opposite: quite modest. Perhaps you're just jealous of his talent?
Danke! Die perfekte Ergänzung zu einer der inspirierendsten Ausstellungen der letzten Jahre...

I just read in an interview that he sold the painting in 97 for a thousand pounds. Quite a jump in ten years!
