Peter Doig is a painter renowned for his landscapes inspired by both his nomadic life and the transformations of modern society. Born in Edinburgh, Doig grew up on the island of Trinidad and in Canada. He then moved to London to study painting at St. Martin's School of Art, then at the Chelsea School of Art where he developed a particular style.

Great video with a lot of lesser known work. I adore Doig's early work and was lucky enough to see his first ever London show way back in the early 80s.

" L' arte è veramente un mistero " .
Ho visto per la prima volta i quadri di questo pittore che sinceramente non conoscevo ed ho notato la tecnica artistica.
Poi cercando (come faccio sempre) qualche informazione su internet ho scoperto che le sue opere vengono vendute con quotazioni altissime.
Ringrazio Aurelio Salvador per la sua capacità di proporre sempre interessanti forme di arte.

Sans doute l'un des artistes actuels les plus talentueux… Pourtant, jusque vers la fin des années 80, je n'aurais pas vraiment accroché. Sans doute le taureau plein cadre (il déborde même un peu) nous donne un coup ! Ensuite, ces versants enneigés si évocateurs, les sous-bois envoûtants, les canoës si paisibles, cet intérêt pour l'Unité d'habitation du Corbusier à Briey, tout est si réussi qu'on se demande où l'artiste va chercher tout ça
