After watching this video. I figured out the issue that I am having. You see, I ordered a part for a new screen and apparently the issue was that the discs on the bottom of the screen where bent in a wierd way. Soo I compared it with the old screen and the others where flatten. Soo I removed the screw holding the frame for the lcd and began to push slightly on the discs, and the wires and boom problem solved! Thanks! If you hadn't explain how the home button functions then I would have been scratching my head for awhile 👍👍 thanks again!
Thank you soooo much!!!! I did a Battery repair on my iPhone 5c because it was terrible and because the tabs snapped I had to pry the battery out so I must’ve bent one of the things to the home button so I ended up bending it back and it worked perfectly!!!!!😘💓
Thank you very very much. I appreciate your video.. it helped solve my problem. The metal contacts inside the phone were pushed down too much. I gently lifted them back up just a bit. While the phone was open, I gently cleaned the mental contacts on the home button.. all works great again.
Hello and thanks for this video, if i have broke one of the two contacts that you show at 1:50, do I have any chance to change only that piece? What spare part should I look for?
Hi, great vid, Although ive got a different problem. I replaced my old battery with a new one. After repair i found out that my buttons ( turn on/off, sound buttons, mute and home button ) do not work. Would you mind helping me with that? How do i fix that?
Thank you so much... I had the same... I should of thought to check that I changed the old home button but all along it was that ... I did order a New one just in case...
The 4 is different and does not have those contacts. Instead there is an FFC/Zif connector that plugs into the charging port. It's still possible to test without performing a full disassembly but you must have a replacement part on hand to test it and remove the loudspeaker at the bottom to access the area where it plus in. I'll make a separate video for that and the iPhone 6 as soon as I get a chance.
hey bud I tried to shortcut the conectors it didn't work, but then by accident I touched one of conectors to frame and screen lighted up. but only worked to one of conectors, nothing happens to other one when I made shortcut to frame. so how how bad is my phone?
Hi! When I test it like you did with the clipboard it works, I checked the contacts and they are broken.. what do I need to buy!? Because I was checking on amazon and it doesn't show the contacts on the charging full flex replacement.
The cables that connect them are quite different. So to answer your question no. You might be able to find an after-market iPhone 5 button that looks like a 5S but the real ones will not fit at all.
Hello I have a question so my iPhone 5c screen broke and I gave it to a store to have it replaced. So after 3 days I picked up my phone I paid 80 euro for it and the store dude said that the home button is not working and to fix it I have to pay additional 50 euro so I said no thank you...My question is why the home button is not working with the new screen but with the old one did?
If the home button was working before the screen was changed then it should still be working now. Did they test it when you dropped the phone off or was the whole screen blank? If that was the case it would have been hard to tell whether the home button was working or not.
Go Cell Phone Repair i get confused which part do i get replacement, i broke these one, i highlight it in white circle ibb.co/c7bbQa i lift it way too much, so it's broken.
Do you mean the pins that make contact with the home button circuit? If so I'm sure that they can probably be soldered back on but the port itself is only a few dollars so probably best to just replace it.

The pulling the tab part (closing circuit) worked like a charm, thank you.
Liked. Thank you for the detailed and clear explanation.

Thanks for the tips, but when I connect the 2 silver things, the home button works, but when I but the home button back, it does not
Thanks. Must of accidental bump the two little contacts while I was replacing the battery! LOL!
Great vid...thanks... Just knowing to short those contacts out I was able to figure out the button itself was an issue because it wasnt making contact

If one of the two contacts are broken what part is needed to order?
A replacement lightning port.
if the charging port contacts dont circuit do i just need to purchase the whole dock port? or what else can be the problem.
Does the iPhone 4 have the same contact points as the 5 and 5c?
Thanks :)

Sounds like you need a new home button flex cable. You are saying that touching the contacts with a paper clip activates the home function right?
Hello, i want to ask. I have iphone 5g and the homebutton didn't work. If i replace it, can i use the 5s style home button into my 5g? Thank you

thanks this helped alot
Thanks this hellped me
is there anything that can be done for an iphone 5s?
You can replace the home button but touch ID will not work unless repaired by Apple.

Yes it does.
sir, would u give me solution, if i break the contact signal in the bottom, i lift it too much, in so careless, thanks
Do you mean the home button flex cable? If so you can replace it. Not sure if I'm understanding your question though. Can you maybe post a picture?
Go Cell Phone Repair i get confused which part do i get replacement, i broke these one, i highlight it in white circle ibb.co/c7bbQa i lift it way too much, so it's broken.
You need a replacement charge port.
Go Cell Phone Repair ok sir, thank u very much
my pins are broken is there a way to fix them

So Beautiful ❤️🥰
The ribbon came off on top of my phone. How do I put it back?
The ribbon? Are you talking about one of the flex cables on the screen or something in the phone. If it's the latter you'll have to replace it.
ok so, my screen is not turning and the home button does not work. what should i do!!!!!!?????
Sir two contact point one is lost
If you mean on the charge port flex then you'll want to replace the whole lightning port.
Thank you
Thank you so much! mine ended up being the one of the "pins" being shoved down, super easy fix! Thanks again!!!!
Solved ! cheers
Luv u
