Thank you all for watching and those gracious enough to inform us the drone is at the bottom of the Tagus River. Although we're guessing the drone doesn't care what body of water it rests at the bottom of, lol.

Ohh the famous pink street that was not pink until a couple years ago, is not about sailors and stuff.
Actually the neighborhood used to have bars that were more dark and alternative, and lots of prostitutes, strip clubs, and bordels. Younger people partied in Santos or in bairro alto. But 10 years ago the closing hours of bairro alto shifted from all night, to only 2 am ( the people who living there complaint about the noise) because of this people starting moving down to cais Sodré where some people frequented the more alternative music bars and clubs, and so it started getting hype, so it became the new center of Lisbon nightlife, so they decided to paint that street pink because of it, to attract it as a new zone, and also because it's a no car street, and also to convey the alternative lifestyle often present. Tik tok and influencer later made it famous, but for the Portuguese it was only a street painted pink. The umbrellas were put there after it became famous to replicate what happens in another city in Portugal.

We in Portugal once had a hidden secret: the Pasteis De Nata. But nowadays the rest of the world knows about them. COOL!!! No irony. I am.glad the world is discovering Portugal's little treasures. We used to be unknown and overlooked to the wider world. I love when foreigners discover and fall inlove with my little country.

Guys.... just a tip. We went in September of 2022. Train and bus is the wrong combination when the weather is good. The best way is train from Lisbon and then Tuk Tuk up to the palaces and back. The reason is that there are usually more passengers than the bus can hold for each trip; therefore, you are likely to wait an additional 45 mins to get on the next bus if you are back in the que waiting for the bus. That's 45 minutes of quality exploration time lost to waiting. Also, Tuk Tuk was 5 Euros and buses were more expensive. We walked from Pena Palace to Castle of the Moors which was the right call as it was much faster.
Not sure if you didn't get to climb Castle of the Moors because the views from the walls are stunning! Of course on a rainy foggy day, that may not be the case. It was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Portugal. We recorded over 22,000 steps that day on our Apple Watches. Get to Obidos and the boardwalk along the cliffs near Lagos in the Algarve if you can as both are also amazing.

Tapas is a spanish word. The closest portuguese analogue is Petiscos. If in Portugal you have a place called Tapas that is a tourist trap. Any place called Tapas i Portugal will nener give you the authentic portuguese food experience. That doesnt mean the food there will be bad, i bet it will taste really good because that's what we do here in Portugal, we are world class in making great food,.be it traditional or neuvelle cuisine or imitation of foreign dishes. We are that good. The one thing that is impossible to fake is our wines, they are great, even the cheap ones.

Hey, portuguese person here. Glad you had a nice time and found Lisbon charming.
I don't quite know what your general target audience is, but I'd guess this video is targeted to those who haven't visited Lisbon yet. Taking that into account, it would've been nice if you had presented more detailed information about the places you visited.
For example, that Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira date to the XIX century and are examples of romanticism in portuguese architecture or that the city center of Lisbon was largely rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. You could have mentioned that wine has a long history in the country and is deeply ingrained in the culture (as is cork), or gone into more detail when describing the pastel de nata. Maybe you could have said something about tapas being a spanish food, and how that links to Lisbon being a capital and, because of that, somewhere where you can easily find food from different cultures, or for different diets.
This is all generic information easily found online that you could have added as text on screen, for example. If that's not your thing at all, than maybe getting more detailed, steady shots could've filled in the hole? The video is just filling a bit lackluster and, at least as I see it, fails to communicate the charm that made you rate Lisbon as a 9/10.
You seem to have had quite a few issues with the flights, baggage and camera/drone, and that is bound to throw people off their game, but I do hope in the future you are able to center yourselves, think through your shots and try to make the final product have a bit more oumph with the editing.

Funny how americans travel to visit portugal and then they just go to tapas places (Spain) and starbucks (America). Don’t come to Lisbon if you want to know the country, obviously and like many other capital cities, Lisbon is the most turist-driven city in the country, you always feel like you're somewhere else. If you drive 30 minutes north or in any other direction, I'm sure portugal starts to feels a little bit more interesting and unique. Not a patriot, just really hate it when non-informed people thinks it is ok to speak some stupid shit online just because they have a cellphone and money to travel. You’re always welcome to never come again, but if you do, try to visit portugal and not lisbon.
