There are two screws in the boot, right behind the fuel cap area, you need to loosen them and move a bit up. That's what it says in the manual. Hope this helps :)
I had this problem couldn't get the petrol cap open whatever I tried, then I tried unlocking the car doors with the remote while standing right in front of the petrol cap with the remote almost touching it and it worked straight away, it was a low battery problem.
Hi bro I have the exactly same problem as you do in the video. And I don't have better solution than using the long screw driver. Kind of embarrassed every time I went to gas station. Have you solved it now?
Priceless information , clip and advice T.D....Many thanks..
Thanks bro this hack helped me today and saved my life!

Do you know why the pin stucks?
I have problem with central lock on driver's door and now with the fuel flap.
Any answers ? I have the same issue
I have the same issue I'm sure it's the OB1 module under the seat I'll confirm once I've swapped that out with a new one
If this pin isnt retracting & not sealing it correctly could this cause a CEL to come on?
Good tip thanks. Probably didn't need the first 2 minute overview.
Helpful, thanks.

I just had this happen. At the gas station while on fumes. Lol!
The instructions for emergency opening of fuel filler cap are in the owners manual.
Thank you!!!

Try to lubricate the pin by using oil or wd40
I have this same issue and I'm sure it's due to the ob1 under the drivers seat.... I'll confirm once sorted!
Open it from inside not like that
