This is also why Whitty goes down for a moment in the song, while Tabi keeps going strong for longer and is likely trying to keep Whitty going, although I assume sheer numbers takes him down eventually once Whitty is down for the count. They also seem to forget that while Whitty is powerful, he isn't going to enrage at the people he views as his friends just to win, he's actually the weak link in the duo because he wouldn't use any of his abilities against them.
I really love this idea of these two powerful characters having to team up against everyone who’s already been corrupted and how most if not all of them are whitty’s friends. It really feels like this a genuine apocalypse by showing how it affects those outside the canon cast.
I may be late but I have a theory. So people have pointed out that all 3 people in this song are close to whitty one of which (Carol) is dating whitty. So that puts him at a Huge disadvantage. and based on the images and effects throughout the song we can see that they are *NOT* doing well. Or rather Whitty isn't. If you pay attention whitty disappeared a lot during the song which leads me to believe that whitty is slowly losing his will to fight. And when Tabi disappears it is him realizing the dire situation he's in. He doesn't need to fight for self control, He needs to Fight for control of WHITTY. He canonically knows how powerful whitty is so if whitty falls he will beat Tabi due to his power and allies. which is why when the screen gets redder around 2:20 it is Tabi and Carol directly fight over whitty. This moment will determine how much time they have left.

But in Deathmatch, their corrupted counterparts fought against DD and put up a better fight against DD than they normally would uncorrupted. My guess is that the corruption brings out the potential of whoever it corrupts, making the corruption more difficult to deal with. Plus, in this song Sunday, Carol, Hex, and possibly more corrupted bystanders that aren't singing, are singing against Whitty and Tabi, two really good singers who rival DD. You'd think they would be able to tear apart the corruption easily, but the corruption still puts up a really good fight, and it eventually possibly might overcome Whitty and Tabi. (Unless more help arrives to back up the duo in the next side stories song, if there even is a continuation of this sing off.) (also nice song :p)
I don't think Whitty ditches Tabi or gets corrupted as he returns later on in the song, maybe Tabi just starts popping off while Whitty takes a backseat to rest/recover from the corruption.

Hmm, I hear Cassandra(I think), Carol and Hex(that's for sure). Looks like Corrupition is trying to take down Whitty first because Whitty is very powerful entity that might not get Corrupted at all, if he won't be broke down mentally. But, he got Tabi by his side, maybe he will be able to keep his friend motivated to keep going.. Can't wait to see the real battle in-game.

This song feels like a real fight and one that the survivors can win since Tabi and Whitty are rappers that rival DD and MM and in the base game are stronger then Carol, Sunday, and Hex. Whitty's ballistic power is pretty powerful, and Tabi was meant to be a rapper on par with BF (or at least somewhat comparable). So together I'd say they have a pretty good chance, but we all know that the Corruption won't lose this fight.
When tabi goes off by himself from 2:07 to 2:32 I'm kinda thinking that whitty isn't corrupted or hasn't run away but is losing hope as the only people he trusts are corrupted(carol sunday hex) and that moment is just tabi going off to save them both but I could be wrong whitty could have been corrupted I certainly hope not tho lol

something i feel like people should note if they're fully expecting whitty and tabi to win in this side story: as far as we know, in takeover, *there is no way to uncorrupt yourself, you can only uncorrupt others that you have had a close connection to.* i say this because pico in his week was very obviously winning in his second song and had the corruption only barely able to recover, yet the corruption on his body only worsened, it didn't even slow down. so it is safe to assume that uncorrupting yourself without some of outside influence is either very difficult or impossible.

I love the way this sounds! it really conveys the feeling of the corruption story. Tabi and Whitty already have so few people in their circle that they really trust, and with the corruption spreading, they stand to lose all of that. We already know Whitty fighting to save his friends, but that makes me wonder what role Tabi plays in this. After GF broke up with him and DD destroyed his livelihood, the only people i see him really being close to are Agoti and Aldryx. And at this point I dont think anyone knows where either of them are. So that leaves the question, is Tabi corrupted or not? It sounds like he's trying to help Whitty, but is he doing this while fighting off his own corruption? Either way, both are powerful musicians in their own right and they sound phenomenal together on this.

Most common thing I usually see in the comments of this song or fan adaption mods, most people see Whitty getting corrupt then Tabi. I see it in a whole different perspective, when 2:05 Tabi's voice yes does change, others mostly assuming Tabi got pissed or some other form of rage I guess? But what if it was Tabi's voice getting corrupted in the process but only briefly. Yes I am well aware that Hex, Carol, and Sunday are present in this song due to their vocals. But what I can gather the corruption really toys with those minds and memories who are yet to be corrupted, yes many can beg to differ that Whitty MIGHT get corrupt first but think of it GF is also corrupt even though she's 100% not gonna be in this song. This was kinda hard to follow but you suggested the corruption might use GF to mess with Tabi but I think that’ll have the opposite effect of what you’ve thinking, they may have had good times together but Tabi hates GF with a passion so seeing her being controlled by the corruption he might see her even less of a person and take out all of his anger to the point where it could poke a hole right through the corruption on GF. My take is that Whitty and Tabi joined forces because Whitty is a one man army and like you said Tabi is a relentless fighter, I don’t think the corruption was trying to mess white Whitty but pulling out everything it has to have a chance at breaking him down because if he wanted he could probably destroy the corruption, using his GF and two of Whitty’s close friends, I think they’re trying to emotionally manipulate Whitty to tear him down, manipulate him like Lemon monster did to takeover BF because Lemon monster has no chance brute forcing it against BF, and I don’t think the the corruption can just brute force Whitty and Tabi so they have to resort to underhanded means to take them out, I think the plan was to take out Whitty and Tabi would be stressed or scared because it would be a 1 v 4, then Tabi would get weak enough for them to take him out. Tbh I think Tabi is more op for an apocalyptic situation than whitty is bro has explosives, enough training to be able to throw a knife at bf with such force to fracture his skull, able to mimic whitty's technique almost perfectly and ENHANCE IT as in the original the hardest difficulty allowed him to drain health. In general Tabi is the most op when it comes to singing cause he doesn't even show that he uses more energy when he take inspiration from whitty at least not where he shows he is going down right insane. Ya know I have an actual theory about what happened in this song (before it's released)) now the third corrupted person who everyone suspects was Cassandra or Sunday I think is killed by Tabi now I know it sounds ridiculous at first glance but knowing Tabi in the original vs ex mod That would be in his character since he blows up the restaurant and you hear people screaming when it happens so when he duet sings with Cassandra/Sunday and know she prolonged the song every time Tabi sang those last notes I wouldn't find it unreasonable to say this as we never hear from her after that solo encounter and since the editor specifically made it to where Whitty wasn't present it only further supports this theory even more as Whitty would absolutely object to Tabi doing that.

i just realized how dangerous sunday is as a part of the corruption. in vs. sunday, their mic isn’t plugged in, which means they’re just _that_ deathly loud. and the corruption spreads through soundwaves, so hypothetically, the corruption could just have sunday scream and it would start spreading faster & farther than usual
by this logic, ruv and rasazy would also be dangerous (especially them, since ruv was loud enough to shake the church in mid-fight masses, and it’s canon that rasazy is louder than ruv)
anyway, i’m a sunday nerd who is SO excited to see them here!!!! they’re so forgotten in the fnf mod lore and i wish they weren’t :’) this song is a BANGER!!! i think i know what i’m gonna have on repeat for the next week
edit: i forgot to mention, i love how sunday and carol still back each other up, even when corrupted. one always seems to sing after the other

It's pretty clear that the corruption is Corruption Takeover likes using manipulation. Cassandra has no connection to Whitty nor Tabi, but Sunday does.

I love the detail that all the corrupted ones singing here are people that whitty knew and were his friends
And makes me notice that in the prologue bf saw his gf corrupted
Pico in his day saw boyfriend and many of the ones he knew corrupted
Skid saw his mom and his friend corrupted
Whitty saw his friends corrupted
Ok tabi dont have friends so we dont talk about him because corruption cant mess with his feelings
Nene started to panic after the lemon mimic pico voice and say "guess what happened to him" and she will prob see pico in the mommy week so the corruption always try to mess with their feelings

It also makes them fall to the corruption a lot quicker since they are slowly losing the motivation to sing.
Also pretty sure Tabi can still be corrupted since the corruption spreads through sound waves. He can still counter it with singing however.

Most common thing I usually see in the comments of this song or fan adaption mods, most people see Whitty getting corrupt then Tabi.
I see it in a whole different perspective, when 2:05 Tabi's voice yes does change, others mostly assuming Tabi got pissed or some other form of rage I guess? But what if it was Tabi's voice getting corrupted in the process but only briefly.
Yes I am well aware that Hex, Carol, and Sunday are present in this song due to their vocals. But what I can gather the corruption really toys with those minds and memories who are yet to be corrupted, yes many can beg to differ that Whitty MIGHT get corrupt first but think of it GF is also corrupt even though she's 100% not gonna be in this song.

Now this is just my theory, we all know Tabi is GF's Ex Boyfriend but the good memories Tabi had with GF can also toy with his mind, since the corruption what I can tell enjoys toying with its victims until they succumbed to defeat or FULL corruption.
Same can be said for Whitty, so if you all be wondering who I'd thing get corrupt first? I'm going with Tabi, yes he is a fighter but most of the time the fighters always fall first.
But this is just my take/theory on how I view the song and if this sounds VERY complex so below this text for those who ""Don't take this seriously"" have a brain the size of a peanut here it is for you more simplified.
Tabi would most likely fall to corruption considering he is GF's Ex and memories Tabi had could turn against him while getting corrupt from the corruption.
And since the corruption seems to be its own entity since those corrupt could share a hive mind of others people who've fallen to darkness and see OTHERS memories while the victim in question is in a deep sleep paralysis or coma.
Yes Whitty will also show the same signs as Tabi but mostly will stand his ground best he can, same can be said for Tabi.
Like said before this is all just a theory, so until the second build of "Corruption Takeover" is released then we can finally put our minds at rest until the next song teaser.
This was kinda hard to follow but you suggested the corruption might use GF to mess with Tabi but I think that’ll have the opposite effect of what you’ve thinking, they may have had good times together but Tabi hates GF with a passion so seeing her being controlled by the corruption he might see her even less of a person and take out all of his anger to the point where it could poke a hole right through the corruption on GF. My take is that Whitty and Tabi joined forces because Whitty is a one man army and like you said Tabi is a relentless fighter, I don’t think the corruption was trying to mess white Whitty but pulling out everything it has to have a chance at breaking him down because if he wanted he could probably destroy the corruption, using his GF and two of Whitty’s close friends, I think they’re trying to emotionally manipulate Whitty to tear him down, manipulate him like Lemon monster did to takeover BF because Lemon monster has no chance brute forcing it against BF, and I don’t think the the corruption can just brute force Whitty and Tabi so they have to resort to underhanded means to take them out, I think the plan was to take out Whitty and Tabi would be stressed or scared because it would be a 1 v 4, then Tabi would get weak enough for them to take him out. But just a theory
I can agree with this theory as well, I did leave a few things out that you brought up. Like with Sunday and Hex plus Carol, Whitty being a one man army and a possible... being I guess? Who can I wouldn't say destroy the corruption but possibly slow down its spread through others.

Hmmm just a theory, but what if Carol, Sunday and Hex are trying to convince Whitt to join them and Carol begins to entrance him, and is almost successful. Then the part where the drums come in as Tabi tries to help him snap out of it, and then it becomes a battle between Tabi and the other side! …just a theory😅

Tbh I think Tabi is more op for an apocalyptic situation than whitty is bro has explosives, enough training to be able to throw a knife at bf with such force to fracture his skull, able to mimic whitty's technique almost perfectly and ENHANCE IT as in the original the hardest difficulty allowed him to drain health. In general Tabi is the most op when it comes to singing cause he doesn't even show that he uses more energy when he take inspiration from whitty at least not where he shows he is going down right insane. Nevermind the fact that he was able to pull all of this off getting the explosive and the training from literally nothing but his hatred towards the dearest imagine he is in a scenario where law is basically gone and he can't be prosecuted? Ya know I have an actual theory about what happened in this song (before it's released)) now the third corrupted person who everyone suspects was Cassandra or Sunday I think is killed by Tabi now I know it sounds ridiculous at first glance but knowing Tabi in the original vs ex mod That would be in his character since he blows up the restaurant and you hear people screaming when it happens so when he duet sings with Cassandra/Sunday and know she prolonged the song every time Tabi sang those last notes I wouldn't find it unreasonable to say this as we never hear from her after that solo encounter and since the editor specifically made it to where Whitty wasn't present it only further supports this theory even more as Whitty would absolutely object to Tabi doing that.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Tabi definetly wouldn't be abject to killing some random person ( even if whitty knows them or not) if it meant they ould escape or have better odds at winning.
This also supports the idea that it could be Cassandra and that Sunday could still be out there.

I don’t get why Whitty just… weakens after Carol shows up. While yes, Carol is *extremely* close to Whitty… she’s also the love of his life. Whitty wouldn’t give in that easily! He’d be furious at the fact that the Corruption took the most important person in his life away from him and go all out. “Ballistic” if you will
