I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

i think this not a proper dance practice like their others dance practice as usual.. cause its recorded after live session for japanese fans and only one take.
If you stare closely at the opening scene, Jisung was lying down at the back... he did not just jump there, he was basically THROWN UP at Felix's and Minho's backs
idk if you noticed but in the beginning han uses felix's hand as a microphone

their japanese comeback was announced in the middle of back door promotion. They basically don't have time to polish everything as they started promoting all in right after the end of back door era.
Just to let you know that Han is standing on Felix and Lee Know in the beginning.

Just watching Minho/Lee know.. hits different every time, seriously he’s the Main dancer but doesn’t get center much but still catches my eyes whenever he is dancing. He needs more appreciation even when he is not in the center.
personally, i tend to look at Hyunjin because his moves are smoother. also, hes my bias. and i know this is an old comment.
I definitely feel like this was more style based then synchronous based. Overall it was explosive and chaotic but you could definitely see that the parts they wanted synchronized were and everything else was left to personal opinion

I was expecting for synchronization to be talked about in this dance practice because I as well noticed it a lot for this one to be the least synchronized in all their dance practices which is still impressive nonetheless.
i think is because the choreo has quick change of formations and its hard

As other comments pointed out i think it's also because this was after some live presentations and they took only one take, that's why they're in a different setting and in those outfits, so they were probaby a bit tired already and yeah i agree that they might have not had as much time as usual to perfect it, i still love this choreo tho lol
btw in the beginning the one who are you talking about is lee know, not I.N!

For the synchronisation, it's definitely intentional i think. Lately each of them like to give their own flavour to the choreo. Many of their choreos were definitely more synchonized
Han was lifted to stand on Felix and LeeKnow’s back. LeeKnow would give his bestie a safe platform to jump down from ;)
7:44 it’s actually not in between the beats, as they’re right on the beat. The song is in 4/4 and if you snap along counting the beats per measure, you’ll see that they are actually on the beat. If they were in between beats the stomps would actually sound the opposite of what they do here. I think the instrumental track threw you off because like you said there is no clear “1-2-3-4” that indicates the beat, so you thought they were in between, which is understandable though since that type of thing happens a lot in music lol

i actually thought it was messy at first but as i continued to watch it turned out fine for me,, i figured it was the angle cuz i kept moving in my seat trying to find the actual center
I think so too. Empty spaces on left side frame so I guess the center for this angle leans towards right.
Yeah, I also find it messy. Aside from the angle, some movements really needs to be polished. I think they have a short time preparing for this one. The one they did in Korean stages are a bit better.

Jisung improved so much in dancing. Like a LOT. His moves is now cleaner. For me his moves are mixed of Lee Know and Felix combined.
10:17 I decided to watch the arm thing at 0.5 speed and it actually looks like Hyunjin has his arm hyper extended backwards while the others look pretty in sync with it out and to the side. Also the distance their arm travels when in moves to the front in increments is different for each member.

I think they are gonna perform it on Korean music shows with the Korean version of the song, you can check it out when it gets released and compare them both, one is a possible one-take after an interview while one would be with live singing but probably even more polished
I love this dance practice. I liked the video but I didn't love the song until I saw and loved this video and the song.

I noticed that they weren’t as synchronized during movements they did all together this comeback too! I was wondering if it was just because they weren’t as worried about synchronizing a Japanese single or maybe it was meant to be chaotic?
I guess it’s because they didn’t have as much time to perfect it.
All in came out immediately after Back door promotions were over, so idk when they practiced for it.

I’ve been a JPOP fan for years that I think the choreo not being super synchronize is intentional.
As we know, idols in Japan put more of their personality and style when dancing.
And maybe that’s the look they’re going for since it’s a Japanese track. 👍🏻

Not a bad reaction overall but I felt there was kinda too much extra talking about synchronization and common sense explanations like how moves support the beat of the song,

When I watched this, I had felt like this didn't have the same...feel and energy to their dance practices. But you know, I guess it's kinda normal since this isn't a "proper"(?) dance pratice where they dedicate themselves to record a specific video (not too sure about this cuz I didn't watch their fanmeeting where it is said they recorded this for)

Because when I’m looking to dance practice videos I’m like “details, uhhh so synchronized” and most important “their Knees oh gosh”
The thing I liked a lot about this dance practice is that reminds me a lot of Jpop... Because is not robotic synchronized, and everybody does the same move, but in their on styles, and also because the focus is more entertaiment than actually hitting every move perfectly
They have just released a proper dance practice!
lee know is definitely the one with the cleanest moves among all the members! And Jeff as a performer yourself, in case you don't know, Lee know was professional back up dancer and he also participated in a famous dance competition (World of Dance)! He definitely knows a lot about clean and sharp moves ! :)

If you want to watch clean and sharp moves pay attention to Lee Know/Minho (he is THE DANCER), it's been a while since you reacted to Stray Kids but you still don't know Lee Know nor appreciate him as the "MAIN DANCER"! You've focus so much on popular members. It is frustrating as a Stay but thank you for your reaction.

I think for the intro, Felix and Minho were the base, Chan and Changbin were at the back, pushing Han up, while I think Seungmin and IN were holding his arms to support the lift.

thank you for bringing up their transitions ! the formations and transitions they're able to come up with and pull off is quite impressive. of course, having more members gives them the chance to try different things in comparison to a 4-member group, so that is something i will keep in mind. anyhoo, i just find their execution of them to be really really clean and i love their creativity even in choreos.

If you look at the sections where you say the were not clean, those were elements of crumping and some African, which are not meant to be super sharp like a stage routine.
