It used to take 3 days to get a C&P result. The VA changed it to 30 days.
Vets can get most of their VA medical records online if they sign up for myhealthyvet. Most vets that do have it don't know they can see their VA medical records on there. In my experience most of the medical staff at the VA don't know it either, and I suprised them a few times when I challenged something after reviewing their notes. I am going to raise and issue against one of my C&P exams cause the PA used a statistic that is used for the entire male population not my expereience as a veteran.

Hello, thanks for your help. I had a C&P exam back in 2012 for TBI that I didn't even file a claim for. I had a the C&P for TBI the provider filed out the DBQwithout even asking me any of the questions. I didn't even know I was having the exam because I went in for treatment The issue is is that some of the conditions overlap with my PTSD and contradict what my symptoms acutal are. Should I try to remove the TBI C&P exam off of my Blue Button report? Thank you.

if only i knew all of this type of horror when the country called me to service in 1972. i am 66 y/o now. i have no idea what to do to litigate a medical malpractice case. the US has no concern for veterans.
I have VA diagnosed service connected severe Mixed Sleep Apnea @ 50% in 2012. I am a never smoker' but now VA diagnosed me with CRF. Since central sleep apnea has known problems with the central nervous system (brain) firing signals to the lung muscles, do you believe I can make it a successful likely as not, 'secondary' medical condition claim for Chronic Respiratory Failure with Co2 retention (81% blood/ Co2 reading)? 4 OEF/OIF combat support veteran of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar 2001-2002

Depends on whether it is VA or private; ones done at the VA are supposed to be in your records within 72 working hours unless justification is given why they can't (VHA standard), and private ones should be around the same timeline but are only accessible through VBA or your POA's access to records electronically.

@@eugenehofmann4013 Contact your POA and ask them to retrieve it. You can also do a c-file request, but just be aware those tend to take a long time.
Is it appropriate for a veteran to take in notes that record incidences of difficulty related to their PTSD. With memory being an issue for PTSD trama, the notes would be helpful. But are the allowed, appropriate or advised?
