They were confident but quietly confident. They didn't go around saying we're going to win, it's ours to take. Ironically, I think losing the bo3 at the end of groups helped iG a lot (and hurt Fnatic), because it showed them where they needed to improve, just as losing the first one helped Fnatic in the same way. The loser always has more to learn from reviewing a game before a rematch than the winner. The loser is the one making the mistakes. I think that bo3 win by Fnatic gave them a very false sense of security and confidence going into the rematch. They weren't as strong as they thought, and iG weren't as weak as they thought. The three mistake prone players (Ning, Baolan and Jackey) cleaned up their play and knew how to avoid the mistakes they made earlier. Ning was really strong this series. Most improved player at Worlds imo.

Yeah I’m 4 months late but being a pretty new LOL player, this was pretty insane for me to watch. I was so happy for Rookie and the his hug with Theshy was so heartwarming. IG was amazing and mesmerizing for me to watch.
Rookie was as a bonus when IG bought Kakao from LCK. The shy was refused by LPL team WE. Balan was seen as a untalented player. Jacky is only 17 years old. Ning is always underrated. And even most LPL fans think they are much weaker than RNG. Now they’ve won the world champion. FNC and RNG should learn to be humble.

What happened in the group stage was a different story, you can even see iG played very carelessly against FNC in the rematch and tiebreaker, there, walking around the map like nobody could kill them, then, in playoffs, they went back to their playstyle and they brought in better picks and bans and also adapting them, as well, while also fixing their problems, so, it's not FNC choked, Invictus Gaming just were way ahead of them, if you see the 1st one of this final series, you can see iG knew what FNC were trying to do against them almost at every moment, iG learned and improved and when it came to mechanical plays and teamfights, that's where LPL players are better than others.

Songs from worlds past have been really good, but none were as perfect for the year as RISE was for this year. We had teams across the board (even if it was for only 1 game) rise up and do something people will remember. FNC made it to the finals, a China team (IG) WON finals, an NA team (C9) made it to finals with 3 rookies (Blabber, Zayzal, and Licorice). I am sure there are more i am forgetting at this time. It was an amazing worlds and the perfect song to go with it.
The banning and picking phase of IG is really great, now I see why IG always ban rakan if they are in red side cause if the blue side first picked the rakan, the red side will be force to pick xayah to avoid the rakan-xayah duo botlane.
Either you're for iG or for FNC, we can all agree that this was a year of upsets with supposed to be titans falling down from the questioned underdogs. Though it was a one sided final, it still cements the re-occurring theme of "the year of upsets" all the way from groups.

Yes, this is the best worlds overall, because of the final is finally not the civil war of the LCK teams. So many stuff happened. GEN get kicked out at the group stage. KT, the LCK champion, get punished by IG. RNG get clapped by G2, etc. So many surprises. The only thing makes this worlds not perfect is there is no SKT and Faker. If other regions could become the champion by beating the SKT with Faker, it would be the perfect worlds championship of the season.
I'm really, really sad. Not only the whole Tournament is already over, but team from my region didn't make it, and it was a stomp. I feel now empty inside. There wasn't much hype in me before the finals, because the most explosive games happened last day of each groups, and the Quarterfinals. Later that was just Stomp of 1 team above the other. But it still broke me inside.

And even most LPL fans think they are much weaker than RNG. Now they’ve won the world champion. FNC and RNG should learn to be humble.

What happened in the group stage was a different story, you can even see iG played very carelessly against FNC in the rematch and tiebreaker, there, walking around the map like nobody could kill them, then, in playoffs, they went back to their playstyle and they brought in better picks and bans and also adapting them, as well, while also fixing their problems, so, it's not FNC choked, Invictus Gaming just were way ahead of them, if you see the 1st one of this final series, you can see iG knew what FNC were trying to do against them almost at every moment, iG learned and improved and when it came to mechanical plays and teamfights, that's where LPL players are better than others.

Songs from worlds past have been really good, but none were as perfect for the year as RISE was for this year. We had teams across the board (even if it was for only 1 game) rise up and do something people will remember. FNC made it to the finals, a China team (IG) WON finals, an NA team (C9) made it to finals with 3 rookies (Blabber, Zayzal, and Licorice). I am sure there are more i am forgetting at this time. It was an amazing worlds and the perfect song to go with it.

Yes, this is the best worlds overall, because of the final is finally not the civil war of the LCK teams. So many stuff happened. GEN get kicked out at the group stage. KT, the LCK champion, get punished by IG. RNG get clapped by G2, etc. So many surprises. The only thing makes this worlds not perfect is there is no SKT and Faker. If other regions could become the champion by beating the SKT with Faker, it would be the perfect worlds championship of the season.
Capa's father continued to cheer for FNC after the game, and FNC has always been an excellent team，Hopefully their S9 is the winner

I'm really, really sad. Not only the whole Tournament is already over, but team from my region didn't make it, and it was a stomp. I feel now empty inside.
There wasn't much hype in me before the finals, because the most explosive games happened last day of each groups, and the Quarterfinals. Later that was just Stomp of 1 team above the other. But it still broke me inside.
