To see galio not making a flash taunt at that time it’s mind boggling, maybe I’m wrong but if that was a solo q play, even a play player would not hesitate to flash in does a 4 man taunt.

Man Ucal is set up for the PERFECT flash to turn the entire game at 49.56 He loads the taunt, he has flash, the position is peeerfect and then.... he just doesn’t do it. Maybe they called back off we are split up but.... he makes that flash I think they win.
I agree that was weird to see him not flash in.
Easy to say after seeing how wrong it went. It would have yield better results but they still wouldn't have won it. They lost the game when they engaged in team fight while Xin (who had all the kills in their team) was busy with rift.
i thought he was gonna ult on smeb. literally every galio ult failed in this game, he was guaranteed to get 3 people with it there
Decisions like that, it's what sets apart LPL from LCK. There was a possibility if he flashed there, that may have changed the course of the teamfight or at least, they could have traded some champs, the CC of a fully charged W lasts enough to make a difference. See how much damage Kai'sa did to Rookie's Lissandra, with the CC, they could've taken him down. It'd have also stopped JackeyLove to damage Aatrox. Ucal even wasted his Q and he missed his E 50:01
57:43 There he said KT's playstyle of stopping iG from making skirmishes with the help of vision was working, that was correct, LCK playstyle that was effective from 2015 to 2017, so, to disrupt that, iG had to go all mid, what iG didn't, it was KT doing that twice 39:36 & 43:24 and they got outplayed by KT going all mid. Here iG were better at teamfighting 49:51 and playing decisive, what's a characteristic of the LPL teams and their playstyle and what made a big difference in recent years, especially in those decisive matches that ended 3-2.

When LCK could deny plays with visions and making ganks that required patience while keep stacking gold with farm, which caused teams to get shutdown in previous metas, it's when LCK dominated, here KT tried that, then they never were able to win a single teamfight in this set. KT also tried to play aggressive 39:36, as other LCK teams try these days, like it happens with other LCK teams, that didn't work for them, either.

Their expectation it was more about iG could play well, but, not being able to win the series, in the end. When they won this quarterfinal, you could see iG started to improve and play better than they did in the rest of Summer, that set 5, it was them even adapting to beat their rival, all of that it was a very positive sign for iG and with RNG no longer in the tournament, they had more in their favor. No team left had the skill nor play the meta as iG.
We might be looking at an LPL team to win Worlds this year.
Though LCK still has Afreeca, I don't think they'll fare well in a BO5.

In an alternate timeline, that could be. G2 recently defeated RNG, so out of EDG and IG, there's a higher chance for IG to show up.
Except its going to be eu vs na in the finals.
That seems likely, considering the momentum behind C9. If that really does happen, it'll be historic for NA, and even more so if they beat whichever EU team they'll be facing.

I don't watch much competitive play so maybe someone can correct me... but KT's draft seems kinda weak dps-wise, doesn't it? All you really have is the Kaisa who will just get destroyed. Xin Zhao is useless if he isn't fed inside 15mins...
Pog Pog protect the hyper carry has been a viable strat for years in the pro scene. However, this is not such a draft. Xin and Aatrox are early game control and aggression picks. A bit of a disrespectful and low synergy draft from KT.
Juggermaw teams were really popular a couple years back. Kt had a fair setup for it but kaisa never got rolling. It was their only win condition.
If kaisa had started rolling kaisa just plain wouldnt die with all the defenses in place. Xin to peel galio and shen for oshit live.
When it starts rolling its a steamroller. When it fails...well you have this game.

Then Papasmithy finds a minor correction and acts like he knows better (maybe he is more innocent, but he does that kind of trivial corrections very often). 30:20 Kobe doesn't take Papa's BS and still emphasis rookie can roam. 10 seconds later...it shows Kobe is right
There was no correction he just said it won't be easy once Shen has ultimate.
Okay maybe this one is not the best example. However, Papasmithy still often say make minor correction with the tone as if the previous person is wrong. In this case, Kobe says there is a huge roam potential from Rookie, but papa is like "nah it won't be easy with shen ult"...you know what? The roam potential of a fed lissandra can still be huge even if there is shen. (papasmithy technically didn't disagree with Kobe directly but he often speaks with a tone as if he is correcting other people)
