    This is such a great video. I'm so glad to see the COP lies exposed and such a wide ranging assessment of products.

    Great vid lots of interesting information. Your last 2 pages for the Ecogenica EG-290FR #1, when you show the install price it is labelled Emerald Energy EE-HWS-RCHPOUxxxxCHP-200(your noggin is covering some of the number) #1, is the price definitely for the Ecogenica that you are talking about? Thanks

      Just noticed looks like you’ve used the name from the #2 pump by accident.

      @@Hooliosis This was supposed to be referencing the Ecogenica 290FR earlier this year when we could offer it for this price.
      We are no longer offering the system for this price.

    what do you think Aquatech DYNAMIC/X8 vs Ecogenica 290 vs EVO-270L which one is good?

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ecogenica performs better and is cheaper. Aquatech has a stronger brand and great customer service.

    Great work Jess. We live in Melbourne, now are in the process of getting one but we are bombarded with so many installers with different systems. Now after watching your video, it helps us to know about the brands of the heat pump system, how to go about with the installers? Why the labour warranty only 2 years?
    We came across a company give life time labour warranty, is that too good to be true?

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The labour warranty of 2 years may seem pretty low, but even systems like rheem only offer a 1 year labour warranty on their system despite a 12 year warranty on their tank (for their non heat pump hot water heaters)
      Life time labour is not something I've heard of. I would ask a lot of questions about this and make sure to get it down in writing if it is true.
      In terms of installers, I am biased but I recommend us :)! We have a 4.9 star rating from over 100 google reviews ;).

    Thanks for the video! 👍 👍
    What about 'The Ecogenica 260FR' on your website? The one with the heat pump on top (costs $179 to upgrade to this model) Is it any good?

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! I'll make a video addressing this later this week.
      The 260L unit is good, but it comes with some pros and cons. The cons are that as with any single unit system, it is going to be less efficient than split unit systems, so if saving money on future bills is your major concern I would suggest going with a split still.
      The pros are that the design is generally considered to be more attractive and it takes up less place. The 260L is ranked #56th in the rankings, which is towards the higher end of single unit heat pumps.

    Hi mate, great video. CN you tell me the average rebate amounts in Vic and if after 7 years when out of warranty how much would the full price without rebates be?????
    Also when do the government rebates reset so we can’t claim them again??? This is very complicated.

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. I wrote a blog post about NSW rebates, but most of it will apply to Victoria. freehotwater.au/nsw-heat-pump-hot-water-rebates-how-do-they-work/
      Your major differences are you don't have ESCs, but instead VEECs, and there is also a solar Victoria hot water rebate of up to $1000 available.
      The full price of a heat pump after rebates is usually $3000-$5000.
      As far as I know, there is no plan for VEECs to be reduced, but STCs do go down every year and the Solar Vic Hot Water Rebate has a limited budget allocated to it.

    Do you think the high end hot water is better than the cheap ones

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As the video shows, you're getting some outstanding performance from some of the "cheaper systems", in some cases far more than the expensive systems.
      In most cases, you're getting better warranties too.
      So it depends on what systems we're talking about, but if we're talking about Emerald, Ecogenica or Midea (Splits only) versus most premium systems, they're just better.

    Why is ENEFT not in here?

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ENEFT systems are not particularly efficient compared to other heat pumps.

    • @siddharthnandi8567
      @siddharthnandi8567 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      is efficiency the only factor? what about longevity and making sure the compressor won't collapse in few years?
      We both know making a system more efficient doesnt make it better

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@siddharthnandi8567 You work for NRG7 which produces ENEFT heat pumps, might be nice to disclose that by the way.
      ENEFT's warranty is lower than the majority of heat pumps on this list.
      I'm also not impressed by your heat pump's low efficiency.
      And generally efficiency would be linked to quality.

    Every unit was a split system! How about people in the real world who need an all in one unit and live alone or with only one other. You need an editor and a lot less waffle about spreadsheets you, yourself, have difficulty navigating.... Who cares about #57 on your list?

    • @FreeHotWaterAustralia
      @FreeHotWaterAustralia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Dear Paul,
      Thank you for your heartfelt message.
      People who live all alone should consider getting a smaller sized heat pump.
      People who want a single unit system should check out my video comparing the top 7 single unit heat pumps.
      You sound like a great editor with a keen eye. Please send me a job application at information@freehotwater.au
      Enjoy your day 🤗🤗

      @paulthesurfer7470 I initially felt this (editior comment) as well but then thought he is not a content creator, merely using YT as a tool to get his message out.
      Certainly this video can attract more interest with a simpler communication message but the main point I felt was its genuine and it shows his passion.
      It certainly armed me with more knowledge 👍
