While it sounds impressive, they failed to mention, that it probably produced 10x as much Electricity as Solar Power Produced, not many Years ago! And a few years further back, it probably produced 20x as much Electricity as Solar Power Produced! I suppose, at some point in the US's History, This Coal mine may well have Been used to produce 100x the Electricity that Solar PV Panels produced in America! But, what this all means, is simply that "Solar PV" and "Concentrated Solar Power" facilities, are increasing in Viable Output, each year, at a faster rate than in previous years! And with integrated Battery Storage, Solar becomes far more Viable, and deliverable 'On Demand", responding to load changes, literally in "Milliseconds!" Even faster than Natural Gas Power Plants operating as "Spinning Reserve" that, while quite "Quick" still takes "Whole Seconds" to respond, to even multiple Minutes! And, this is why, "Natural Gas Peaker Plants", should also be Co-located with Grid Scale Battery Storage, so they can actually be Shut Down, and used, not as "Spinning Reserves" but as "Backup Power Plants", as they were in part, first intended! Because, "Spinning Reserves" is just Business Jargon, for "Running" but not "Connected " to the Grid! It's part of the Industries "Dirty Little Secrets" (shared to me, by a Plant operator, himself)!
