The fun thing is knowing that there are expansion areas. There’s the known expansion lot at the front north entrance where there are temporary buildings currently, but there are also noticeable space north of the Jurassic World area (where the retention pond currently is) as well as a space just south of it. They are big enough for mini lands, like the current Shrek and Puss in Boots. I don’t foresee them building these out until well after the park is profitable beyond the initial investment. It took Legoland Discovery Center in Grapevine about a decade before they “expanded,” which wasn’t very sizable. And that’s just existing areas that were set aside. If the city were to allow Universal to convert its south guest parking lot to a parking garage, the current northern expansion land could utilize the northern parking lot as even more park land to build. Of course, I’m talking about decades from now, when the children who have experienced this in the 2020s, now have kids of their own. By that time, very few, if any, residents of that Cobb Hills neighborhood will still reside there, and the new home buyers will all have known about the existing UKR, as it’s been there for decades, and probably won’t care as deeply about a parking garage eyesore, though the southern lot was dug out to be lower to accommodate a multistory building of some sort. As for noise pollution from the DNT, there will be sound buffers. The landscaping along the perimeter is really just good for baffling the frontage road noise. That elevated area will minimize the noise somewhat, since the park is at a much lower elevation. The park will also be surrounded by buildings and walls. Many neighborhoods have sound walls protecting them from road noise. Within the park itself, not only will there be plenty of landscaping, but pipped in music, as well as children screaming, crying, throwing tantrums, and me doing exactly the same! 🤣
@ thanks. I live about 15 minutes away. I was thinking the same thing with expansion. There is land for days. I wonder how much of it they’ve purchased.
I love your content dude keep them coming along! I’m super excited what Frisco has turn too! I’m am so ready for Fields West to be completed by next year. And the new Mix Used development near Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road. And the New (North Fields) Project right off of highway 380 right down the street from the Omni PGA frisco resort!
Loving these monthly updates
This is shaping up to be a pretty cool park. LOVE that they will have a rapids ride. Good job on the coverage here.
Amazing work. I was worried it would be too small but this gives me hope. I’m just worried it being right off the tollway with all the road noise
