I like the design of the character. The colours pop. The sculpted detail on the mask is nice. The lack of alt hands more effect pieces and a Ben Riley unmasked head, really hurts this. Hasbro are really stingy. I used to lile the idea of build a figures, but that was when they were reasonably priced. Now I prefer the bafs to be released as a deluxe, like Red Hulk or A.O.A. Apocalypse.
They really did Ben dirty in these stories... With all the new Spidey molds in circulation, I don't understand why they keep using old ones like this. Rumor has it there is a new Scarlet Spider figure on the way
Legitimately one of my most anticipated figures of the year. I don't even like the story line all that much, but its just such a sick design. I don't mind body reuse when it works for the character, especially after we hand brand new Spiderverse sculpts this year that had LESS articulation than this (bootcut should be mandatory for all Spiders). I agree it should come with more, at least a 2nd set of hands and an unmasked head. Thankfully most collectors probably have some spare black hands.
Cool figure! More effects and alternate hands would have put it over the top. They could have gone all out and made it a deluxe and load it up, let's have some fun! A ton would have sold. As is I'm not sure how well it will do.
Yes, every figure in this whole wave needed extra accessories; extra hands, extra heads...I'm kind of tired of these new figures on old molds. Get rid of pins.

The Ben Reilly in this wave right? I actually had him preordered from BBTS but canceled after seeing that black big spidey logo on the back and lack of accessories.
I read it and he was done SUPER dirty. Marvel has no end of cruelty to inflict on fans of Ben Reilly. The Beyond storyline was a great setup for a new heroic era for Ben. Instead they once again took away the one thing we want.
Reuse is fine when it makes sense but not so much when there are newer bodies they could’ve used. Boggles my mind. Great review but definitely an easy pass

Yeah they should've retooled that Jonny storm fire piece on his back and made it that green I'd been happy with that at least

For some reason mine the waste will not budge at all. I tried heating it up with a blow dryer, but it's not working.

I wanted the Haslab too but the price was way too high for what it was. I’d have done $299 max I think for that tbh but I liked the tiers
