  • Our latest 'Slow Orkney' feature takes you to the coastline and cliffs surrounding the Bay of Skaill on the west coast of the Orkney mainland. We can't welcome visitors to the islands at the moment, so hopefully this short film will let you soak up some midsummer Orcadian sunshine from home, until we can safely see you here once again.

We were supposed to be there for a couple of weeks in May, sadly had to return to OZ before we got there. Shattered that we didn't make it, moreso after watching this!

Rob Williams Perhaps you could do it in stages ,get a cheap flight ✈️ to eg Florida and a cheap flight to UK 🇬🇧 north . Buy or hire a cheap Berlingo . Buy 2 sleeping bags , 1burner stove and Dixie’s from Go Outdoors , and you can sleep 💤 in it. A Motor Home costs a few £thousand to hire. You go from Gills Bay near John O Groats by Pentland Ferries ⛴ approximate £100 each way to and from Lerwick . Orkneys also identify themselves as Norwegian after St Magnus . Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 it’s St David, Ireland 🇮🇪 St Patrick , England St George, and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 St Andrew/James
