ive got an RS, and honestly, it feels like not many people know about gforce, but it’s a really solid choice for the price. I’m actually debating whether to grab a white one for my wife... it's on sale ... might be a good deal
I ordered this exact bike 2 days ago. Hopefully I’ll like it, but I’m not sure how I’ll lift it onto the bike rack. I’m 5’2” @ 120 lbs. It would have been good to hear what the woman riding the bike thought. In trying to choose an ebike I find most reviews are from a man’s perspective and they are very concerned about how fast the bikes are. For me comfort and quality are my biggest concerns. Plus ease of use. I’ll be upgrading from an iZip Vibe e3. Overall this is a very thorough review. Thank you!!
Great bike, better drive position and handling than Lectric, but it needs class 3 speeds for the price, now at $2100! Should be more like $1500, also, many folks buy folding ebikes for their portability, anything weighing more than 50lbs is just too heavy to lift into a car when folded for most people.
How do the hydrologic breaks handle after bike has been folded? I've heard you need to be careful with how you store a bike with hydrologic breaks. Sometimes air sets unto them based on the way it's stored.
If I can ask, what is you inseam length? I am 5’ 11” with an inseam of 29”. I am guessing you may be 31 or so. If that is correct and based on what you show in the video I should be able to get a full leg extension while peddling. Anyone feel free to comment. Thanks.
@@rexluminus9867 lmao I mean watts. But, if your right 5v means maybe 15watts max q-q. I was hoping for 65 watts or something to allow you to use the battery as a backup power source if you lost power for a day or two and needed to charge devices....
I mean you can it just kind of depends on your inseam and how much you want that perfect amount of leg extension. Rad's site has some good details on fitment based on different heights that might be helpful. 5' 10" certainly more doable.
Check with your local bike shop if it’s compatible, but I’m happy with the SR Suntour XCM HLO AIR SL 20 mine installed on my Mate City S folding bike after the spring n the original coil fork broke. The front end is taller due to its greater travel, thus affecting the folded size and riding posture, but I prefer a more upright posture anyway and it’s a much better suspension fork! It also supports my 230lb bulk, which apparently wasn’t true of the original cheap coil fork.
Hovsco HovBeta. Lists for $1,799, but currently $1,699. Similar value. Both are fat-tire folding e-bikes with torque sensors. 90Nm vs 60Nm hub motor, so significantly stronger. Also lighter at 66.4lbs with the 48V15Ah battery, though that’s without racks or fenders, so they may be close in mass and price once fenders and rear rack installed (can also attach a front rack, like the Expand). Its top assisted speed is 28mph vs the Expand’s 20mph, though I think the gearing is a too low for that speed (42 tooth chainring and 14 tooth small cog). I wish more affordable folding e-bikes equipped with both a torque sensor and throttle were available. I prefer the control a torque sensor provides vs a cadence sensor (the ones that set current by PAS level are better than ones that set a speed target, but neither is as good as a torque sensor ebike), and want a throttle for times I need the help.
True that! Just became aware of the Mokwheel Slate a few days ago. 20x3 tires, which is more my preference. Has taillight/brake light/turn signal clusters in the chainstays like Aventon models as well. I think it has a 500W nominal, 65Nm peak rear hub motor. Lists for $1799, but currently $1499. Supposedly in the process of being tested for UL certification. No claims of a potted battery. Any idea what customer service from Mokwheel is like?
Buying a Rad Power Bike? Using our link supports the channel: radpowerbikes.pxf.io/1rmx3R (affiliate link) Thank you!
Why not buy the $1299 G-FORCE RS, which has a 28mph and 15.6Ah semi-integrated battery? It seems like a better deal and costs less.

What are you wearing under your helmet? Is it a good bike cap for summer, rain? If so send a link or info!
Great review as always!!

I have the expand. I am pretty strong but this bike is not light. Should be able to lift it onto a rear rack.

Does this or the Lectric XP Lite 2.0 feel more stable when you ride it?

How was the sound level of the motor? Really nice video, thanks for sharing.
If it's like the expand. It's really really quiet.
Do you prefer cadence sensor over torque sensor?
Which bike is a better buy , this one or Lectric One?
i think g-force RS will be better! i ordered RS 3 months ago, 28mph could do the job all my day

32" inseam. Also check Rad's chart. Appreciate it if you use our link before you buy!
What's the max power output of the usb c power out on the display? :O
5 Volt⚡️ 😊

You can easily save $1,104 or literally a 58% off discount if you purchase a $795 OUXI V8 electric bike instead of the RadExpand 5 Plus.
So you don't recommend this bike for anyone say, 5'10" to 6' or so?

Are you able to unlock the bike to exceed 20mph?
I don’t think that’s an option
Does anybody know of a aftermarket front suspension forks to replace the rigid front forks on the Rad Expand 5

Does the folded bike fit into a sedan trunk?
You'll have to check the dimensions of your vehicle and the bike folded. It just depends
Not a good value bike. It’s ok but you can get comparable specs cheaper.
Anything you're aware of with a torque sensor?

Ok, all sounds good but the RAD 5 PLUS now has a new battery with fire isolation safety chambers! 😂❤😊.
