    So… you are wondering whether or not to buy a course to prepare for the TOEFL exam? But get a pen and a paper and today, by the end of this video, you might realise that you don’t need any course AT ALL to crack this exam.
    I had 2 days to prepare and managed a score of 117. To crack TOEFL, you need to know the English language, but more importantly you need to know the TOEFL format through and through. Which is why in today’s video we are going to see…
    Today’s Agenda:
    1. What is TOEFL and why do you need it?
    2. Format of the TOEFL exam
    3. We are going to look closely at the type of questions that’ll appear in the TOEFL Reading, TOEFL Listening, TOEFL Writing and TOEFL Speaking sections, along with tips on how to answer these questions effectively..
    4. My experience of giving the TOEFL exam, the at-home option in particular and the issues I had faced that you should know about.
    5. And towards the end, I’ll give you a Bonus Tip about what you can do next to be better prepared, along with pointing you to some free test sources.
    Let’s start learning! :)

    I watched your video and some other videos on the TOEFL TV Channel and managed a score of 108/120 (Reading - 27/30, Listening - 28/30, Speaking - 29/30, Writing - 24/30).
    You were right, we do not actually need to do any specific courses. The format is what's important.
    I did not focus a lot on the writing section else I would have scored more, but I am happy with my score.
    Thank you! ❤

    In my opinion, I think i prefer taking risks, enjoy learning the new things and being adventures.i think so is because of the two of the reason. Number one is taking risks in life will help us to come out of our comfort zone and achieve the goals that you have set for. Number two is it gives a chance to identify the our weakness and correct them. Because of this two reason I believe that taking risks and being adventures is better and important in life

    From the article about revealing coloration we learn that it is a defense strategy used by animals. The professor in the lecture provides an example of this topic by mentioning peanut bugs and morpho butterflies. First of all he mentions how peanut bugs have black wings with bright spots of colors that pop up to startle a predator. Secondly, morpho butterflies have shiny wings that reflect sunlight and are used to escape from their main predator the birds. And that's how we learn what revealing coloration is all about.

    Example 4. The lecture is about how price is determined for products. First the professor talks about how companies set higher price first and then gradually lower the price later on. The higher price is for setting high standards for the product that will eventually become accessible like how it happens to a innovative tech products. Secondly, companies would also set initial lower price to combat market saturation. This appeals to new customers by encouraging them to switch brands.

    Personally I prefer to spend time indoors because I consider myself a homebody. Going out can be stressful for me since you need to get ready, pick outfit and do the right makeup. However, staying at home is comfortable where you can be in your skin and do whatever you want and however you want it. Like cooking, playing video games and what not. This is why I prefer staying indoors.

    The University announcement talks about demolishing the old auditorium for a new and modern one with bigger accomodation. According to the student it is a bad idea since it's a historical building that should be preserved. Also he makes a point that the auditorium doesn't need expansion since it is never full and the entire student body is not present for every event, which usually requires a smaller number of attendance.

    I would definitely enjoy taking risks and trying new things. For instance, I'm a kind of adventurous person who loves to create memories and experiences as well as explore the world. For example, for my last birthday, i gifted myself a skydiving experience, which was 9000 feet above the sea level. It was a wonderful and once in a lifetime experience. So, to sum up, I'm a kind of person who enjoys taking risks and trying new things

    In my opinion its better to take risk and enjoy things because of the following reasons. First reason being risk takers have broad perspective to see things because they have experienced a lot of experiences. Second reason is that risk takers are adventurous. They are the centre of any party. You can never hVe dull moment with them. Because of these two reasons i feel it is better to take risks and enjoy things.

    i personally love taking risks and trying out new things and enjoying them, as i feel there is a lot to explore in this world and this can only be done by taking risks and trying new things adding to this point i personally don't think staying indoors will allow you to discover new things and explore

    Nice video. One query for you, when we take the TOEFL test at home online and then do we have to take the notes on physical paper at our end or do we have to use some online editor given by ETS to capture the notes over there?

    • @TheUrbanFight
      @TheUrbanFight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've explained the notes part in detail in the video. Check 'My experience' and end of the 'listening' section. But always double-check the current rules on the TOEFL website after booking the test. Good luck with your exam.

    5:43 can someone explain how is B the correct answer? The paragraph clearly mentions about administrative centers but not about manufacturing workshops (instead it's given as industrial workshop).

    Speaking:
    Example 1 : I align towards the risk taking attitude mainly because of 2 reasons. First being if you don't try out out of the box things you will stay where you are at the moment and that will inhibit your growth. Secondly its super fun to take risks as I long for the Adrenaline rush that new challenges give me.

    Speaking Section Example 3.
    From the articles about Revealing Coloration we learn that how many animals use coloration to protect themselves from predators. The professor provides an example of revealing coloration by mentioning the examples of Peanut bug and Morpho butterfly. First of all, the professor talks about the peanut bug which has black wings closed and hidden. When it attacked by any predator, it opens the back wings which has bright colorful spots and that surprises the predators to give some time to prey for avoid the attack. Second example is Morpho butterfly which has wings that reflect sunlight. When get attacked by any predator, it flies away and opens the wings. The predator gets the flashes of reflected sunlight and can't follow. And that gow we learn the technique of revealing coloration is all about.
    For viewers- Please rate it from 1 to 10 and give some suggestions to make it more better.

    Example 2(Speaking):
    1. University decided to demolish for tge reasons like, old architecture, construction failing, shabby interiors, lack of accomodation.
    2. Acc to the stduent, he tries to bring about an emotional connect of the building with the university and argues, old architecture and shabby interiors make it uniquely interesting and beautiful. Further, he adds, accomodation shouldn't be a reason for the demolishing of the structure because the hall is hardly full. It can remain as it is now.
    And this why, it should be retained and let keep a historic trademark in the University.

    Example 2 (Speaking) - The Institution announces to build a new auditorium by demolishing the older one. According to institution it is a good idea because of 2 reasons. First reason being the old auditorium is showing signs of aging as was built way back. Second being to accommodate more students as strength of the Institution is increasing. And that is why they are planning to build a new auditorium.

      Hi, This good but I want to offer a tip. This response does a good job of summarising the announcement. But it lacks the student opinion. But in the test more weightage is given to the opinion of the person in listening and our answer should be more about the opinion of the person in the conversation.

  • @nivedhanchagana3408
    @nivedhanchagana3408 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Example 2 (speaking): The university talks about new auditorium by demolishing the old one due to old paint and the stage os small
    According to the students it is a bad idea because of its a historic auditorium and so many old things that cannot be break because we had so many memories
    The first reason being it is a important part of university history,it was one of the first things built on campus we must preserve that not get rid of it
    And the second is that they never ever seen that the stage is completely occupied so no need for expansion
    And that is why the students dont want their auditorium demolished and replaced with a new one
