This is a masterpiece!! I am in tears right now. Poor Bucky has been through so much, and seeing how you edited everything together just makes an even clearer and stronger impact of how all of that pains him. 😭😭😭
Poor Bucky, he’s trapped in a labyrinth of his own design, his own guilt, every time he tries to get through it, he digs himself back in. It wasn’t his fault what he did, but he still feels guilty, after everyone he’s killed, he doesn’t believe he deserves his life or that he’s worthy of redemption. He CAN’T envision a future for himself, his guilt eats at him, which causes him to bury himself in his bad memories. He went from one mental cage to another one, only the latest cage is his own and he locked himself in - and the only person he trusted enough to pull him out is gone - let’s hope Sam can achieve that trust with Bucky too, Bucky doesn’t deserve to be tortured anyone anymore, even himself.
Peace. What does that look like for you? Free. Free to do what? Most people ,as fans, gloss over the trauma of James Barnes. Steve also had no clue what he would do or what would make him happy. Excellent editing! Excited to see what you will do with all the new material!
Not to mention the only one who could’ve helped him really recover would’ve been Steve and Steve just left him high and dry for Peggy. Buck has been there for Steve through everything yet Steve left him which still angers me
I am seriously crying right now. I have so much thought into what Bucky went through. But the way it was put into this and Bucky explaining it in so few words was enough to show that he never processed in all that has happened to him. Steve went through the same thing but Steve gained more people in his life along the way. But Bucky... He just got his best friend that was like a brother to him back then he got put under so whatever Hydra did to him could be undone. He managed to get some calm in Wakanda then right back into a fight as he said. Then he vanished, came back only to lose Steve after he just got back. Yes, Steve got to have his dance and it was beautiful. He got to grow old, possibly have a family even. I couldn’t be happier for him. But Bucky... this video is so well done and the editing is on point. As the episodes come out, please make more. Thanks for uploading.

This man just needs a break :( Edit: ok I gotta add this after a rewatch. The whole "you're free" "to do what?" Is such a good line. Like it shows that even though Bucky is free from his previous torture and brainwash, the poor guy can't ask that cycle of being controlled. He needs someone to tell him what to do, even when he's free because not being free has been his entire life :(
As the Winter Soldier, he was someone, he had an identity. As Bucky Barnes, he is no one and alone. Bucky is anything but 'free', and far from being at peace. Gosh that's hard to think about. All of the Captain America characters are so rich, and diverse, I already hope they do a 2nd series of TFATWS.

That's so true omg. It feels like he's not complete when he's just Bucky. The winter soldier (or at least when he's fighting) is his freedom. I think he deserves to do whatever he wants without having to kill people, but I don't know it just feels like he's not satisfied with his life as Bucky.

The Winter Soldier was a living machine, an object who existed entirely to be be used and then stored away and eventually discarded like a robot or a weapon or something. He didn't have any agency, memory or feelings. Bucky has an identity. Why do you think he's wearing his WW2 dog tags in the series? Its because he's trying to reclaim his former identity as Sgt James Barnes. However, he can't really do that because that life and that world he knew before the Winter Soldier is gone, and so is everyone he knew from it. It that way, he's like Steve when he came out of the ice: a man out of his time who has no connection to his former life. He has to try and heal and rebuild his life in the modern world with new friends, but he find that hard because of all the guilt and shame. Sam accepts him in the end but he could have done so a lot earlier.
Amazing! It kills me a little that Bucky keeps having to fight in the new series. I know it's exciting, and what the character's brand of cool is, bur gracious, I wish he could just retire in the mountains and join a search and rescue team or something. A mix of purpose and peace, without being someone's soldier.
This is awesome. This character is so interesting and he has so much potential. I'm glad Marvel wanted to save him from just being a villain exploring his psychology. I really like his redemption path.

Today I watched a Pilot episode of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and they bought me really easily. First, that spectacular show with Falcon on the mission - it felt watching MCU movies. Second, I love how they showing world post-Thanos and how they concentrating on Sam and Bucky as human. I'm not surprised why Bucky wants peace after what he went through. I wanna hug him. Besides the fact that he was programmed to kill Howard Stark, even if he wasn’t programmed to kill he had to kill Howard because he recognised him . He called him Sgt. Barnes and he also had to kill Mrs Stark because she could identify him if she lived.

I've said this before, I'll say it again. He needs his own show or film. Bucky is a great character and Seb a great actor.
His storyline is so complicated and interesting they could have easily make a solo of the winter soldier.
