Not unbelievable really, you called it correctly in your first sentence , 'the blueprint' 💯.
Gather a moldable level of talent and charisma along with work ethic and then follow the template/blueprint.
He followed the Jackson 5 blueprint . . . His groups always had that one little cute boy with a squicky voice and obviously younger than the rest.
Maurice Starr was a genius who created brilliant talent starting with new edition and new kids and back street and mark Wahlberg. He used same choreographer and individually helped each person for solo careers like bobby brown. Johnny Gill. Bel big febo, Michael as manager and mark Wahlberg as actor and singer he got bobby from projects after he left group to do solo career. Great manager!!!!

Maurice wasn't the only record industry executive to take advantage of an artist, in fact, all of them do it. Don't know why he's demonized, New kids on the block are still touring today off of these songs, and making millions of dollars, with millions of fans that adore and love them. Maurice was a genius

I'm a huge NK fan but without NE there would have neverbeen a NK and they will be the first two tell you that. Both are legendary in their own way
